The title says it all, really:
http://consumerist.c...a-for-2012.html

I personally would like to congratulate Dr. Ray Muzyka, Dr. Greg Zechuk and, of course, John Riccitiello for making such a great feat possible. It's the classic underdog story at its finest which seems like it came out of your own games but it actually happened. Bravo!

I wonder if they'll try to coverup this Pandemic. The Dice has rolled and it hasn't landed in their favor.

Ah yes, it's as if West wood removed to Dunsinane.

"Traditionally, the Poo has been delivered on its little red pillow. But this year, we'll give EA three different color options for its pillow, though in the end it's still the same old Poo."

Good lord, my sides have moved to a higher dimension.

My sides have been indoctrinated by rippers and are moving uncontrollably.

This is just ludicrous. You all should be ashamed of yourselves for bumping this libelous thread.

I guess three separate colors of poo are the result of helping yourself to too much hamburger of a poor origin.

You know, my first reaction was that 250K votes doesn't seem like a lot, but the thread about this in the ME3 forum was easily the fastest I've ever seen any thread get locked, so... maybe this is more legit than I thought.

You have to remember who is signing off on BioWare's paychecks

I just came back with coffee and saw the thread.

If you want to suggest that the timing of my coffee break is indicative of anything beyond me thinking 'hey, I could use some coffee', that's your prerogative, I suppose.

Hah. Dude, I'm just sayin'. If you say it's coincidence, I have no reason not to believe you. But I'm sure you can understand what it looks like.

I personally find it disgusting that EA won this for something so trivial in comparison to what those other companies did to get on the list. Yes, making a bad choice for five minutes of gaming is so much worse than poor labour conditions. Anyone who voted for EA over other more deserving companies (who actually committed crimes) makes me sick.

Yes I voted for EA.

BofA may have done many bad things, but they are easy to avoid. I for one, bank at a credit union. However, if your form of home entertainment is video games, you cannot avoid EA anymore. They buy all their competitors, and then set in place practices that are the very things consumer activist groups should be fighting.

I would say the reason for their overwhelming victory to take home the Poo, is because the the tournament coincided with the release of Bioware's (a company that was took over by EA) Mass Affect 3 game, which EA's influence has caused Bioware to lose all credibility with its once loyal fanbase. (check out the first few posts of this for an example http://social.biowar...ndex/10927975/1)

BofA already has government scrutiny on it. It is time EA gets the same treatment, they probably have far more customers.

((Mr John Epler locked down the original thread, just as I was trying to post a comment.  Hate when that happens))

Threads get locked in groups. Neither myself nor Stan Woo are 'forum moderators', in that our actual job title and responsibilities are such. We do it in addition to our regular jobs - so we tend to only get a few minutes an hour to look at the forums. That's how it's always been, with very few exceptions (right after a game's launch, we'll usually spend a little more time on the forums).

I'm amazed anyone takes that poll as something other than a joke to poke fun as companies with a bad image. It's a joke, calm down. Of course EA gets alot of votes, they're a global company, whereas most people on the world don't a have any connection to Bank of America.
I don't think the votes were rigged, alot of people aren't happy with the c*** EA pulled over the years, that plus the mentioned global appearence and involvement of EA...

When in doubt...

Seriously though, I'm not sure they're the worst company out there - but they're certainly not a good one, and I'm glad to see them getting some heat.

Sorry but BoA screws you over you lose your house and become homeless, EA annoys you then you end up miffed at nothing more than your hobby. At this stage anyone who voted EA in that against many of the others is nothing more than a spoiled child.

Did you spit out your coffee when you saw the thread in the ME3 forum? Like when Maverick did the fly-by of the traffic control tower in Top Gun?

Bullfrog.... I WANT MY DUNGEON KEEPER 3 AND THE NEXT POPULOUS GAME!
Pandemic....I WANT MY BATTLEFRONT 3!

R.I.P to both of them.

Don't care about the rest.

Wasn't Criterion games destroyed by EA as well?

I lived through ManGiraffeDog, there's nothing the ME3 forum can spring on me that would cause that reaction.

Now, adding some scotch to the coffee - that's a little different.
