I don't understand what makes you think this line of thought is exceptable.
If people didn't play their games then how else could they know that EA is terrible at making them? And plus enjoying 1 game out of 20 in a year is less than a 1% satisfactory grade.

That's a failure if there ever was one.

What makes you think it's unacceptable? What makes you think it's a failure? If you think EA generally makes crappy games, why buy them to see if they are crappy? If you go into a purchase expecting something, get precisely what you expect, and then blame said company for giving you what you expected (crap), aren't you the one at fault?

There was a time when we didn't expect crap from EA.

"Let's get one thing straight, I gon't buy EA games, I buy games from companies that EA owns. i.e., BioWare. It creates a lovely fine little sticking point that sucks major a**"

You buy EA games. BIO is EA.

"I didn't vote for EA, but we buy and play their games? No we don't, you're wrong. And that's one reason EA are not so successful. It's different in this forum of course, since it's a forum for people playing EA games, but a very large portion of those gamers who actually spends significant money on video games, resist buying EA games. Even if they would want them.

I am almost the only one I know, who have bought EA games during the latest years. And that is limited to Spore, DA:O, Awakening, and DA:2. Does that even amount to one game a year? And I was only happy with DA:O and Awakening. And DA:O was mostly developed before EA. And I was bitterly disappointed with Spore and DA2."

Who is this 'we' you speak of? Certyainly ain't the millions of peeops buying all things Sim. Surely ain't those who repeatedly buy sports games like Madden every year. can't be the nearly 2mil punks who purchased ME3 in its first week or so of release?

Sorry dude can't take a poll seriously when the 'worst' company in the world has MILLIONS of REPEAT customers.

EA didn't magically appear and started doing what they did. They did so by coinually giving customers what they want ie. The Sims, madden, etc.

After them winning this award, I better see that the next madden sells less than 100 copies during it's lifetime. L0LZ

First of all: WHO are you even quoting? Where is that from?

Second of all: Would you be able to take the poll seriously if BoA had won istead? Despite it's millions of long-time costomers? Because that's happened 3 times already. Not that I'm arguing for the seriousness of this poll at all, but that's just an invalid point. Plus, this wasn't a worldwide poll, it's worst company in AMERICA.

And lastly: EA got to where they are by appealing the lowest common denomenator. If you don't know what that entales; it's basically what you have to do when you suck at your job. Apparently EA was good enough at it to coast their way to were they are now. How nice for them.

Besides its a consumer user poll.
not an "what can we do to be as evil as possible" poll.

At the end of the day its the consumers who voted.
I wasn't aware of anything Bank of America was doing when I voted.
This poll makes me aware of why their on the list.
They don't need to win for me to be aware of it now.
Just being there is enough.

Says the guy who buys and plays EA games. Whjat does that say about you, Mr. Lowest Common Denominator?

LOL are people seriously suggesting we have immense freedom of choice with big financial institutions as if opening small private checking accounts was the *only* thing they ever did for business while at the same time complaining about EA being so ubiquitous as to be unavoidable?

Damn, I thought it would be closer than that. I was thinking EA would be about 55% vs. BoA at about 45%. But, in the end it makes sense. BoA tries to screw customers over about twice a year on average with hidden fees on what used to be free checking or ATMs, EA screws people over at least once with each game release per year (depending on how many games are released).

They are both fairly rough companies in how they operate and treat their customers..

I believe it speaks loudly at the lack of character of those that revel in such meaningless polls on the free forums of the tergetted companies. As for me, I plan on getting DA3 later this year, if available.

LOL do people seriously think Bank of America has no influence or business ties outside of the United States? Were some people just misled by the name?

Did someone seriously dismiss insurance as a "voluntary product" nobody's forced to buy to bolster an argument for EA's unavoidable monopolistic presence?

This thread really delivers, 5/5 stars

@Elhanan and Squiggles - Oh get over yourselves, the both of you. There is no moral high ground here for you to stand on, no matter how much you might like to believe otherwise.

It's a poll, like any other poll, and its results are purely subjective. It's no end-all-be-all measurement of what is truly the most corrupt corporate entity in the United States, nor will it determine the fate of said corporation. EA and BoA will go on being dirty outfits just as they have been for years prior.

(That applies to the people railing against EA, as well - the poll won't do much to tarnish EA's reputation)

Is it worth pointing out that EA have made a loss for the last 4 years? If EA has moved towards games that are the lowest common denominator (and I believe they are) it must be because they are under pressure to make some money. If by only releasing blockbusters they still can't make money, either they aren't charging enough, or their products are getting ripped off and pirated too much. Personally I think it's the second. If we all want more variety in games then we all have to make an effort to get rid of pirating. Like with politics, you get what you vote (i.e. pay) for - and it seems we're only paying for the blockbusters.

I wonder if they'll try to coverup this Pandemic. The Dice has rolled and it hasn't landed in their favor.

Is that a reference to the rented servers for Battlefield 3 console? Because it is just annoying to find matches on Battlefield 3 now.

Could care less about the poll; tis the taunting voters and those waving it in the EA forums that donote an odor I prefer to ignore.

What gave you the idea that I still buy their games, let alone play them?
Mass Effect 3 was the first and only exception to that.

I could care less about the poll results and have said nothing about them so far. The thread itself and some of the comments/debate points in it are comedy gold though!
