Had a chance to have a sit down with the organizer who explains what the group is planning for PAX and what is the next charity they plan to focus on.

I think this relates directly to Mass Effect in every way possible, as large segement of the fan base rallied together to respectfully request a change.

Wow. Did that person really just say that Child's Play backed out because other donors threatened to cut them off? Do they not understand the severe amount of legal trouble that Retake's botched charity drive caused for Child's Play because it was so poorly organized?

-Not really. The publicity was well worth it. Any PR is good PR for "Retake". Not so for Bioware/EA.

If your PR is "your poorly-organized charity event got Child's Play into serious legal trouble and enough people demanded charity refunds that it nearly suspended CP's Paypal account" I'm here to tell you that it is not good PR. Retake blasts EA and BioWare for "only apologizing in PR speak" but Retake doesn't apologize at all. This double standard has to stop if you want anyone besides Retake to take Retake seriously.

I thought that Bioware gave the cupcakes to someone else as a donation. That makes them look good, and the money they donated to the anti-bullying charity. No matter what PR is being good for both sides. It is all how you spin it.

I see well when you put it that way I can see why. it's not good though to point out that your intentions are not to help the charity or the cause behind it though. Look what Bioware did with the cupcakes because of revealing your intentions early

I agree. Bioware looked like the real heroes in that fiasco. thinking of the kids before their bellies

Given everything I've seen in the forums over the last month, I wouldn't touch this with a ten-foot pole.

All of you people who disagree with me:

Does EA / Bioware want this debacle to go away? Yes or no?

And

Does media coverage of any kind make the problem go away? Yes or no?

Agreed.

It didn't work the first two times, and the "attention" they got wasn't positive. Just give up the goose already and move on. Throwing your money at charity for the sake of making Bioware "See how much money they're missing out on" is tired and it won't get you what you want.

Anyone including myself would easily say yes. But if EA/Bioware really was doing something for the fans why not respond to them? You know? If damage was being done to sales, press, and if Bioware was truly making DLC for fixing the ending free or not, wouldn't they want to share it with Retake to make them stop? Makes sense right?

See, I think they don't not because they can't. I think it's because they don't want to.

OK, this is getting silly. Donate to charity, but don't attatch it to RetakeME3 again. Two previous actions were enough, Bioware responded and IS already working on new ending content (whatever it is). Seriously.
