I say instead of having spare ammo in games, we upload are credit card info and let them charge us for every time we reload.

I prefer the old days of buying a longer, more detailed expansion pack than the short DLCs.  This HAS been EA's stated goal with DLCs for a long time.

People hate EA because it's a guy in charge (well, guys, but he's the public face, referring to AngryOne's comment) who apparently despises gamers and can't wait to screw them over every chance he gets.

You can replace the word "microstransaction" with "crack" in his speach.

Can't wait for the day when they go just that little bit too far, and customers gets fed up with all of this. That day EA will crash and burn hard for what they've done.

Thats nothing new, they did that in BC2 as well.

But yea, for the most part EA doesn't have a very good idea of how to do microtransactions.

Hmm maybe thats why the ME 3 multiplayer store is so useless, so they can charge people for the weapons they actually want... sigh:sick:

Item stores are the way that MMOs are going now. Suppose it was inevitable it would filter down to every multiplayer platform.

I actually AGREE with this practice. The game has been out awhile and if you are just getting into it then you are at a HUGE disadvantage by not having very good guns on top of having practice with the game. Its not cheating, its a "catch up" for those who want to put money down instead of time being frustrated.

Totalbiscuit talked about this in a recent Mailbox episode and I agree absolutely. It reminded me of League of Legends where you can buy new characters directly or earn them through play.

If it was simply about catching up, why not simpfly the way to earn guns/equipment/credits/whatever ingame as time passes by, why charge stupid amounts of money for unlocks? Specially if you do the whole online pass crap which means they had to pay you anyway just to play.

I have hated EA with a passion ever since they destroyed my favourite "childhood" developer: "Westwood".
