Edit: Click here for the new thread/poll(s). This thread is now defunct.

Click here for the poll.  If the DLC is not free, what would YOU do?

I've seen differing views on what would happen if the DLC is NOT free. Created this poll and was hoping you guys could vote so we could get an aggregate look at the community's opinions without having to scroll through threads and count posts and stuff.

Feel free to discuss your views here though of course. The poll just serves as a quick way to look at things and maybe can even send a message to whoever is creating the DLC.

I, for one, will probably watch it on Youtube. All I need is the clarification dialogue and stuff and cutscenes for the various plotholes. The ending it seems won't be changed, so the outcome will kind of be the same, so playing it again won't make much of a difference for me. But that's just my opinion, and from what I read on the forums, I think I'm in the minority - most seem to be willing to pay for it. Which is totally cool, of course.

Edit: This is assuming the DLC is merely clarification (probably won't include a lot of new content). This is completely about a "clarification" ending if it was released, meaning the original ending would still stand.

If the DLC has a substantial amount of work put into it, sure I'll pay for it.

A few extra dialogue lines or text epilogues? Then it has to be free or I'll Youtube them.

Sorry, clarified that in the OP now. "Clarification" DLC, I think, means more dialogue and cutscenes. They're not changing the ending so there won't be anything "new" persay.

I would appreciate any work they put into it, but there's no way I'm paying for content that should have been included in the initial game.

I'll pay for it, as long as it does something to the endings. I already have the BW points, so I might as well spend them on something.

Depends on whether it's actually new content or just cut stuff being restored.

Good new content I may be willing to pay for (depends on the price). If it's just restoring stuff they cut out though, no dice

Clarification? No use. There is nothing to clarify! The endings suck as they are and they would have to make big changes if they want them to seem any thing near plausible!

Unless it is a change or indoctrination theory, I am not going to download it, free or not. Why would I want more to this ending?

If it is, hey, BioWare can have my money.

I paid for a complete game...and won't pay for the privilege to see its proper conclusion.

what's the point of buying a clarification when the ending is bad as it stands? No thanks. If they choose to alter the ending, then I'll think about it. I already invested enough in the series to the point where I'll pay for a good ending.

If it's not gameplay then I'm not paying. Simple as that.
If it's just some extra dialogue in the idiotic Starchild scene and a text epilogue then I'll just find a Youtube video with a Shepard that looks like mine and watch that.

Again, I pay for GAMEPLAY.

Funny that you wouldn't pay for clarification DLC. What if it clarified not only the ending, but what the resolution of all of your choices? Then it'd be pretty unique for each person.

I am happy to pay, £10 is pocket change, and the DLC will barely be £5.

I will only pay out if it's the 16 varying different endings we had been promised before game launch. Anything else and BioWare gets nothing.

@OP: While I like the idea of polls we need to be careful to construct the poll in a manner so that people's opinions will shine through.

For example on a "clarification only" DLC there is no way I'm buying it. On the other hand if there is an "alternate ending" DLC then it's quite possible that I would buy that if I see any "quality" behind the product.

The poll needs an "I'll buy anything that gives me a slightly better experience of the ME3 ending, but if they made a game where the real ending costs more money, I'm done with this company afterwards" option.
I'm totally invested in the ME trilogy to the point where I'll tolerate any bad business practice to get it's real or proper ending. If they decide to actually do that though, it's such an unbelievably naked attempt at milking a cash cow that I can say to myself "Thanks EA: I used to like Bioware".

Yes, but wasn't all that supposed to ship with the game? I remember being promised a pretty unique ending with my initial purchase.

Now, if they let go of this "artistic integrity" crap, fessed up to their mistake and set about actually fixing it? I'd pay whatever they ask, because that's the kind of company I want to buy my games from.

Hey everyone, people had valid comments that their feelings for clarification dlc differ from alternate ending dlc. I created two new polls and a new thread to make it unbiased. Please check OP for the link.
