Anyway, I could list the reasons why we're upset and don't like the endings (Gilligans planet, stranded Armada.. etc.), but I wanted to talk a little about why BioWare should change the endings.
This game was made for us. It's a consumer product, and if a good amount of the consumers are upset with it something should be done.
I can't put it any better than how Gearbox Studios producer Sean Reardon says it:
"We make that as a joke. We'll say, ‘You're a bad designer if you tell
your customer that you're playing the game wrong.' It's actually the
customer's game. We should do our best to enable that experience. If
someone is playing the game and they're not having a good time and it's
because they're not playing it right, that's our fault."
Yes, it Is our game. And they shouldn't tell us we don't understand the ending (see the "You're playing it wrong comment above). They should rectify it, end of story.
For you guys wanting a source, its on Kotaku (not my first choice) here: http://kotaku.com/58...-made-it-better
It's a very good read, i think many studios should take this philosophy on game design. It remeinds me of why I like gearbox
