I won't care enough to seek revenge. seeking revenge deems them worthy of my hate... EA is not worth it.

here are some reasonable and absurdly easy ways to take "revenge" :
  • trade in every bioware game you own (if you dont intend on heavily playing it) more used games on the market==> lower prices.
  • If you just have to buy future EA games, buy them used and, convince your friends to buy used, or if you own a used copy just give it to your friend instead of them buying their own copy
and really outside of breaking out the pitchforks or some long-game stock con that's the best we can do. BUT If we do it in mass it will show. Just for example EA's current stock price is bad even compared to their recent numbers:

With every single incident, EA gives us a reason not to purchase any of their games.

I'm already sworn off of the C&C franchise because of their last game (Tiberian Twilight isn't even worth pirating it's that bad), and I can't see Generals 2 changing that. Westwood were the people to go to in the C&C franchise and now they're gone, having been swallowed up by the monolithic EA leviathan.

Same thing has happened with BioWare. ME3 has the worst ending I have ever seen in any visual media. If they don't fix it, they don't fix it. I doubt they will, and so I'm not likely to buy any of their products ever again.

I'd like to be pleasantly surprised, but I don't see that happening given how often they keep lying to us.

Revenge?

Revenge doesn't come into it. Consumers are not in fact the count of Monte Cristo, betrayed on a personal level by a trusted friend although its easy to feel that way presented as we are by such well written characters.

Its a simple matter of the degradation of confidence in BioWare's products, in the same way that finding a cockroach in the takeaway of a restaurant you previously held in high regard will in all likelihood cause you to stop ordering from it. Its highly unlikely that restaurant intentionally placed a roach in your food, so taking revenge is simply wrong headed. You just take your custom elsewhere.

BioWare accidentally slipped a roach into everybody's dinner with the ME3 ending, and so many are now thinking twice whether to order again.

I've already held out on buying Arrival for ME2, and all content for ME3, I'm pretty much ready to avoid EA. I find that most of their titles are ones I haven't been looking forward to, and the ones I do buy are just so... amazingly ok that I just don't feel much for it. Mass Effect and Battlefield 3 are the exceptions to this rule. Battlefield 3 I had high hopes for, and it just felt like something was missing... and, well, if they couldn't care enough to give an epic and highly anticipated trilogy a great ending, then I don't see why they should care about their lesser titles.

If they don't fix it, with an already planned indoc theme or something else, I don't think I have the energy to care enough.
I beat the game 3 weeks ago and haven't touched it since, I've been in here a lot though, and it's too draining and frustrating to just come up against walls of PR non-speak and ambiguous hinting instead of straight answers from the people in charge.

At this point I'd just move on.

My bad guys. I changed the topic because revenge is a strong word for some.

Nah, not worth it. I'll just remember this as an object lesson: Don't get too attached to a franchise and their characters, because you will get stabbed in the back and it will hurt. But then I think of the question Javik asked Shepard,"Is it worth it to relive all the pain, but also be able to relive the good times?" My answer is yes.

Sure, the action I will take will be to not give BW/EA anymore of my money.

Only action I can take is no longer buying Bioware/EA games, DLC or merchandise, and I really wanted that normandy model.

I think will always color the way I deal with the companies that make video games in the future but it's positive, it made a better consumer. I'm not looking for payback and when they say 'no new endings' blah blah blah, "vocal minority' blah blah blah 'the game was an amazing success' blah blah blah on Friday it won't even move my dial.

Ah, but I wish we were as rich as the Count, at least. Then we could buy BioWare from EA, like Morrel's company.

you only get stabbed if you let them stab you. Game companies work this way now because of consumer complacency.

I just won't purchase anything with a BioWare or EA label on it ever again. That and burn all my Mass Effect merchandise on a funeral pyre, ROTJ style.

Seeing as how I'm one of a few who don't feel that they need to be fixed......I guess I won't be taking any action against them.

Haha, if we were the Count we would have to arrange elaborate schemes to bring about the downfall of EA/BioWare before we could think about securing better endings.

I would take down EA first. Hopefully that would stop Bioware from doing more of this crap.

I will continue to enjoy Bioware game products well into the future as I totally enjoy the Mass effect and dragon age series and refuse to jump to conclusions like everyone else.

Well, let's see - I'll keep enjoying the games and be glad that I won't have to keep reading threads like these when people finally move on.

It's almost a lock that I won't pre-order anything Bioware or EA related again. In fact, I'm more then likely done buying anything Bioware related, barring some sort of epic recovery to the ME3 disaster, and I'm done supporting EA.
