Yeah, I read the same thing.

Although the Xbox 360 can handle more stuff on the battlefield (corpses etc), the PS3 version has a bit more textures, but isn't really good at having a lot of NPC's on the field. (corpses vanish and stuff like that).

Still getting it for the Xbox 360 though. :)

That almost sounds like that's way off and not accurate.

The 360 graphics are okay not impressive at all IMO. I like the gameplay a lot though. My PC version is coming today from EA. I like the 360 version overall, but the graphics arent that great. I'm not a graphics ***** which only helps, but it is still pretty on cutscenes.

the gamespot review indicated that PS3 looked better but NEITHER version looked as good as Oblivion or Fallout 3. how is that possible?

120 euros for a 120gig hard drive is quite criminal. I don't suppose you can hook up any ole computer hard drive? If not, I'd bite the bullet and part with those 120 euros in an instant. . . . after all, gaming is a harsh mistress and demands tribute.

The game is gonna be the same regardless, a little decline in graphics isn't gonna matter when the story has you in it's grips.

The 360 version's graphics are ... "okaaaay". I was impatient last night and bought it from Walmart. Gameplay is top notch though. Graphics for the PC will be much better. My PC version is coming today, so I am stoked. I played the Dwarf commoner Origin. It was a lot of fun. I love this game and only played 4%.

Well as it turns out.
The xbox 360 version comes with a catch.
It supposedly runs better when installed on the HDD as bioware explained that they optimized it for running off the HDD.
Which i think.. is.. well i wont use dirty words but we dont all have xbox elites and to pay over 120 euro for a 120gb HDD is downright criminal.

To clarify further : bioware explained some more that not installing it on the HDD will cause stuttering in some scenes from time to time plus ofcourse longer loading times.
I guess bioware hasnt learned anything from ME and thus im already seeing the proverbial clouds hanging over ME2.

Well, you don't need 120 gig hard drive to install DAO. I have 10 gigs preserved for DAO when I get it, hopefully it's enough. And I have 20 gig HD btw.

Yeah. The only threads being removed to my knowledge are those discussing piracy. If a post or thread disappears otherwise, it's likely just due to the bandwidth/response issues the site is having at the moment.

Im sure im not the first and i wont be the last to tell you Nibben but consoles are not going anywhere, console will only get better and stronger and more people are finding comfort+decent graphics better than uncomfortable+superior graphics,im so sick of seeing fanboys type,we should all unite and be GAMERS and be happy to have the same hobbie, which is loving games.

I've actually seen many video reviews regarding the Xbox 360 version and that of it's PC counterpart, I have to say, they look extremely similar. Other than slightly better lighting and textures on the PC you can't really tell them apart (unless you were looking at the UI of course). It plays really smooth on the 360 from what I've seen. Just keep in mind, graphics don't make the game, the story and game play does, it's what you remember about the game and what keeps you coming back for more.

Yes I have it on pc, which is the clear winner of all version; but xbox was my second option, until I saw the graphics. Just check youtube for both versions and you will see.

I second PC gaming !

Althought it is a more expensive platform, if you want to upgrade and such

It's my main hobby, so it's always easier to spend in it :)

I remember post from Bioware, that console versions are identical. Same textures, animations, sound, music. Only difference would be different frame-rate, because of different hardware.

Yeah.. I can't imagine playing this on a console, especially with the toolkit coming out. Although, if I had to pick a console to run it on... man.. it'd be tough.. Xbox with lesser textures or ps3 with hitching and stuttering.. hmmm.. prob xbox IF I had the HDD space, which I don't think I do..

+1

I'm giving up my 52" and surround sound to be able to play it on my computer on a much smaller 19" screen and only in stereo, probably with headphones. Why? Well, for one because I FINALLY have a computer that can handle it. I'm pretty sure an i5 (soon to be overclocked, i'm sure) with 4 gigs of RAM and a 1 gig GTS 250 should have no problem running at maxed out graphical settings. Second, I'm pretty sure that the control setup will be superior with mouse and keyboard compared to a console controller. Imagine trying to play WoW on the Xbox.

Of course, I'm also giving up my achievements and as a self-admitted achievement **** that's kind of hard for me. Whenever I get a new xbox game one of the first things I do is pull up the achievements list and start working towards them as I play. If only there was some way to tie the PC version in with my xbox gamercard.

It looks a little better in general on PC, but I think that the 360 version (which I have) looks really good too. I have no complaints what so ever. ^_^ Don't worry, it is not ugly.

To be honest, the PC graphics aren't that good either. The models of the players and use of some dynamics are terrific..but the textures are horrible. Still not a BAD looking game..especially with all the stuff going on..but not the best by any means.

Still loving this game so much.

Just passed a draw dropping moment..something we had all seen in videos countless times but as they kept telling us..we weren't getting the whole picture..I am literally shocked..I sat there jaw dropped in amazment for several seconds before being able to even continue on.

So it plays a lot better when installed to the hard drive. Well that's not a surpise but I'm still chugging along on my original 20 gig hard drive here, and It's been said that the game is about 6.4gb to instal on the 360. I only have 3 gb or so space! Looks like it's time for me to see what I can clear off here ...

Gamespots review states that the xbox version has less slowdowns in framerate, but their reviewer prefers the ps3 version due to the better textures and graphics overall.

Gamespots opinion.....

PC>PS3>XBOX 360

Still have no regrets skipping the pc version.

I just bought a 2nd 500gig 7200 RPM HDD for my PC... for $40 .

Microsoft gouges horribly on that stuff.
