I used to game on the PC, but for some reason I got a little narfed off with having to upgrade every 16 months to keep up with the latest games. And for those people that don't like dealing with endless software problems it actually is quite nice to just put the disk in and have it work.

I don't think I will ever play pc games again. Too much time goes into upgrading, virus protection, kid proofing blablabla.
and I'm pretty sure i would smash it if i got errors during installs like some others who have posted here. I like my consoles, with no problem voice chat while playing and so on.
boo hoo the graphics arent as good. I agree, pc's you always have to upgrade and stay up to date. ps3 nothing is that great about it except blu ray... wooowwwww. Xbox 360 has alot more to do, so how is the 360 not as good as the others, i dont know?

Upgrade your PC and play on the platform it was intended for tbh!
Cause everyone either has an awesome PC or can afford to just go and get one on a whim tbh!!11!
I wish people would stop making that obscenely unhelpful suggestion.

Even low res textures are no excuse. Won't high res texture fit on DVD? Then why don't allow an "upgrade" through xbox live to improve the texture quality? The new texture will be downloaded to HD and won't have DVD limitations. There are no real limits for clever people. The point is that perhaps they've not seen any interest in spending time in improving the experience while knowing that they'll sell the same. But Huge expectations have been built on this game and then it is natural to see disappointment.
As a last note, if it is so true that graphics are not so important, why having animated characters, voices in cutscenes, etc.? The point is that they wanted to provide a "cinematic" experience and we expected it, because it is important for the immersion factor. They failed on this point since graphics is part of the experience. We can still say that the game is good, but if it provides any graphics but the quality is so-so, then it fails in a point that is part of the game.
Btw, I could pay for downloadable better graphics.

That's the big UP for consoles most of the times
I enjoy playing on both the box and my computer, different games tough. Strategical games for PC, games like ME for console.
Oups, noticed I went off topic here. Will add my thoughts tomorrow (or the day after that, or the day after that... Hopefully get the xbox version tomorrow
Edit: Some spelling corrections. Cant do too much about my bad english tough

Go look up screens of Windows 98 games and be thankful. What is it with all these ingrates. If you start playing for real you won't even notice the graphics.
Honestly I don't understand this type of comments. Yes perhaps the story will involve me so much that I won't notice the graphics, but still I can comment on it I think...
It's like saying that a car and a truck are the same and when you are driving you won't notice the difference since both will bring you to destination.
Do you remember the textual adventures of the 80s? If the story is paramount and the graphic is not important, then DA:O could have been written as a textual adventure. The point is that DA:O is an interactive story told through a specific medias that define the product as a VIDEOgame, not a boardgame, a book or something else.
Also what does "ingrate" mean? This is not a gift, it is a product I pay for. Should I bless or worship anyone because I've been given this gift? I think they should thank me for my money, not the other way. So at least allow me to say that the graphic aspect of this VIDEOgame is not so good.
You can live with it? Good (probably me too), but please stop insulting people with different opinions. Why don't you go playing chess instead of videogames? No graphics, excellent game. :-)

Yeah, seriously. The 360 version looks awful. Installed or not, everything's a blurry mess. If you haven't already, just get the PC version if you can. Otherwise, I don't know what to tell you. Maybe it's something that can be fixed, but as of right now I can't even get into the game.
I know the graphics aren't the best on the 360. Definately not as good as Mass Effect. But they aren't blurry. If the graphics are keeping you from playing, maybe this was the wrong game for you to pick up in the 1st place. The gameplay itself is more than enough for me to throughly enjoy this game.

It took me a little while to get used to the textures for the 360 but honestly the game had been so good that it really hasn't bothered me. The only spot I noticed it really was in the origin story for the Dalish elf. Good game regardless of the blurry textures. my 2 cents anyway.
You are so right after playing it longer and really getting into the dark wonderfull story and the great gameplay , the graphics arent bothersome but fits the story itself.

Maybe the story and gameplay mechanics are so strong that I just overlook them, but I do know that at times I do pause just to look around at the beautiful hand crafted environments around me, especially in their use of three dimensional space moreso than any previous Bioware game.
