The ending does have racist undertones...

The only way to save the world is by isolating different races from each other, we're only supposed to care that humanity survived, and you can't refute the assertion that synthetic organisms will kill all organics, even though Geth and Quarians were reenacting scenes from **** Germany earlier in the story, with the Geth playing the role of Jews...

Oh great, of course someone has to bring ****s into this.

Where have you been the last few weeks?

There have been numerous comparisons between the Star Brat and Hitler, Pol Pot, etc. Hell, I've even referred to the Catalyst as "Little Idi Amin".

Comparing a fictional genocidal monster with real historical genocidal monsters is always inevitable. And there is nothing inherently wrong with that.

Anyway, just dropping a thought.

"Alright so first subject is Grunt. We all agree he is rather big, right? Well, as it happens, we have done some research into his story arc over ME2 and ME3 combined and we have decided to reaffirm the popular consensus that he is indeed big."

"Next up are Brutes, who are arguably bigger. Brutes are interesting in the sense that nobody really knows why they have a spine with twin ridges of spikes on them, and why they look like Yahg with Turian heads when the Reapers reportedly leave the Yahg alone. Well, we have given this some thought and here we present you with this photoshop of the fall of the Yahg homeworld to retcon that."

"Next up we talk about what's arguably the biggest thing in the Mass Effect universe, the Citadel! The Citadel is really big, like... bigger even than a Reaper. Well, I know a lot of you have been wondering about what's been going on with the Citadel at the end, and we've decided after a lot of talk that we don't need to tell you the secrets of the Mass Effect universe. We want to keep things high level so that there's lots of speculation for everyone."

I chuckled

+1

That clarifies everything!

To be a fly on the wall at THOSE meetings, eh?

So much for the "I don't think there will be any big announcements at PAX" theory.

Who was saying that? Hackett's VA told us that there were going to be big announcements at PAX a week ago. We're just skeptical that their idea of "big announcement" will be something like a Take Back Omega DLC.

We can just hope for the best, but in the end, it's only the hope, a silly hope that leads us to believe in bioware... i doubt they will do anything, as me3 part2 etc, but i hope they will prove me wrong.

We're not going to hear anything illuminating any time soon. Everything will be filtered through Marketing, which means it will be stripped of any actual information. Marketing's job isn't to inform it's customer, or anything remotely like that, they exist solely to build excitement for upcoming products. And to do damage control when products cause any sort of negative publicity. But informing or satisfying the customer is really not part of that mission, it's assumed that the product will satisfy the customer and certainly informing the customer is often seen as counterproductive, because the realities of creating content for this console generation in this economy and business climate are not very Marketing-friendly.

So, my advice to everyone with regards to anything related to the Mass Effect franchise is: Lower Your Expectations. We wouldn't be in this predicament if we had refused to believe the party line we were sold with regards to Mass Effect 3. If we had been smart, we would have realized that ME3 would be just as limited in scope as Mass Effect 2, with the same lack of variables. I mean, let's face it, your "big decisions" in Mass Effect 2 amount to a few different clips being played during the Suicide Mission, and not very seamlessly at that. Of course they were going to recycle resources for the endgame of ME3—and every minute of the game leading up to that ending. For my part, I am much more disappointed by the lack of replayability of ME3 due to the "placeholder" characters who dutifully perform the actions of the "dead" characters in a mind-numbingly similar way. I spent so much time crafting an array of very different save games, in eager anticipation of all the different ways that ME3 would play out as a result of Shepard's decisions. What a fool I was! To think that those changes would amount to anything more than slightly different conversations with slightly different characters in the exact same sequence of events, well, I just feel like an idiot for ever thinking it would be more than that.

How dare you sir! Braga is a far worse villain than Abrahms. At least JJ had the courage to make meaningful changes to a dying franchise while respecting its traditions.

Braga brought us VOYAGER!!! And THIS GUY:

Can't wait Team ME3! Also, keep it civil. Calling someone a 'liar'

When they actually did lie, yes it is.

(See Sig for one.)

May-2011. Things change during development process, its not a lie they just changed the plot.

The game was, at that time, scheduled to be released in Nov/Dec. 2011. If they didn't even have the basic plot at that time, then lol. The Crucible is an off-button. Also, if they failed to ever clarify that this statement was no longer true, it's pretty much a lie.

Not to mention his comment about not getting just an A, B, or C ending. Lol.

The LAST time i read the devs talking about the endings, they specificaly sated that the game had 6 endings but they would variations of the 3 main endings, so there was no lie to me. I clearly remember reading this on the last week before release. That was another thing they changed during developement and i dont believe they lied about it.

Same here. This is what I remember too. Calling people names isn't constructive, like, ever.

EDIT:
And yes, Voyager still had a better ending than ME3.

Aaaand that's a wrap.

Seriously though, I'm waiting to see what they have to say, and we'll see if its ending DLC. If not, then 90 percent of Bioware fans are basicly gone, or at least never buying anything else from the ME team, but for DA who knows.
