MASS EFFECT 3....PART 2.... 'yikes'

Actually that could work, 10-15 hours of more gameplay, IT was right, you wake upp on earth and gotta fight em off conventionally, then move on to liberate the other homeworlds. Awesum.

I see I'm not the only day-dreamer.

I could actually go for this ( for maybe 4-5 hours of gameplay depending on how well it is done), but too much victory lap would be boring.

Definitely. I'd get a banner saying 'I support more Mass Effect. Anyone who doesn't is just wrong, the big sillies.' to go in my signature.

It'll probably be them revealing the contents of the next dlc that this months xbox world magazine mentioned.

This is a direct quote from the magazine:

"Oh, and the next Mass effect 3 dlc? Multiplayer characters and kit. Shame"

Thats all they said on the subject.

It's kinda funny that s/he appears to be quoting Sovereign.

It couldn't have ended any other way. Lol, yes it could have.

Rudimentary creatures... you touch my mind, fumbling in ignorance.

Or as we call it, another story about the Shepard part 29.

It's like if someone said we have 3 different desserts for you. Apple pie, cherry pie, banana cream pie. That's three different pies, but 3 different desserts? Fundamentally dishonest. How anyone can say so with a straight face is beyond me.

Here is the scene I was referring to:

Look at the perspective, and also compare it to the teaser trailer. 1: The teaser trailer is set after the initial invasion, the full trailer is set during. WRT the perspective...  You can see it's destroying enormous futuristic skyscrapers, which I promise you would not be built in the middle of Westminster Palace, aka the UK Houses of Parliament! You don't need to worry about the Westminster clock tower (fun fact, 'Big Ben' is actually the name of the bell inside it, but not of the tower itself) being cut down.   ^_^

Yes it does because each of them had diferent implications for earth and diferent meanings to the galaxy. How many times did we have this same argument Angry_One?

If the only thing you can see diferent about the endings is the color then you just didnt pay atention to the plot...

No. They have the exact same implications. Mass relays destroyed. Crew marooned. Galaxy doomed. 10,000 year dark age.
Other than that it's a 3 way split of Choose Your Warcrime.

Im tired of this angry_one. If you think *destroying the reapers and every other syntethic in the galaxy* is the same as *controlling the reapers and saving the citadel and all synthetics* and *uniting all species and synthetics as a single organic/machi hybrid* are the exact same thing and the only diference is the colour i supose our argument is just over.

Im tired of having this same argument with you, you just wont listen. Galatic civilization isnt over at all , so many billions are still alive because of what shepard did but you just cant see it, so i guess we dont need to argue anything anymore, youre just blind.

They may be alive but the civilization is what's over, the storyboard specifically states a new galactic dark age, a loss of technology. The adam and eve reset button reference with the normandy solidifies it. Angry One is correct, sorry. All endings end up with that.

Coats specifically said he had been inside BIG BEN sniping anything that moved.

The teaser trailer scene and that one are identical aside from the ending.  Both begin with him sniping the same husk in the same manner.  They are not different scenes.

I hope you are not being serious, because you do not need to go that far to defend the canonicity of a freaking trailer.

I was going to write a(nother) big long post about my problems with the endings, but instead I'm just going to pose some simple questions that should express my problem:

How does it end?
What happened to my team?
How did the squad that I thought Harbinger vaporized end up back on the Normandy?
Where did Joker end up?
Are aliens floating around screwed?
Even if they're not screwed, will they see home again?

These questions would be fine to leave hanging if there was a sequel in the works, but absolutely terrible for the grand finale of a trilogy.

EDIT:
Your answers to these questions must be backed up with solid evidence presented in-game. I'm sure you have theories and speculation, but my point is the grand finale of a trilogy isn't supposed to end on theories and speculation for crucial plot points.

Dark age dosent mean the universe over and no one will ever be happy anymore, it just means alot of things changed, and im sure most who are alive and their decendants are glad of what shep did.

And just because they have some elements dosent mean they are the exact same things except for color. The cost for destroying the reapers is a galatic dark age and everything else, its a big price to pay and i like that we have to pay it, going back with rainbows and butterflies after all that happened would be terrible, but thats what some people want...

The line falls in two days. Make your time.

Hate to break this to you, and all of the other people who are rooting for the "line" to "fall" or "break", but there is more to holding the line than you seem to understand. There is a strong core of the movement that is displeased with BioWare for lying to the consumer, and that is why the line will not fall -- it may or may not see a victory with an ending that is consistent with what consumers were promised, but it will persist either way in the name of consumer rights.

Explaining basic economic principles to forumites would likely be met with tl;dr, so I'll spare everyone that (for now), but the bottom line is that the movement is about far more than the (admittedly subjective) opinion that the ending sucked and should be fixed; lying to your customers is objectively bad business, and if people find the avalanche of lies to be acceptable, a truly dangerous precedent is set -- one that opens to door to negatively impact all consumers, not just the ones that dislike the ending.

I know better than to expect everyone to care about things that they don't really understand, but hopes regarding the "the line will fall" or "your line will break" are akin to believing if you wish hard enough you'll sprout wings. This is (and will continue to be) about more than a game, and no announcement will put an end to it.

The line exists because we allow it.

It will fall because we demand it.

That... has nothing to do with what you said before, it wouldn't be the universe anyway it would be the galaxy. Obviously life is not destroyed in it's entirerty, the galactic civilization you were attempting to preserve is what gets destroyed. A dark age is common reference to a period of time when previous advacements and technology is lost, sometimes completely depending on how grimdark you want it to be.

The epilogue reinforces this, it's 10k years in the future with no space flight. So yes you're right a lot of things changed but whether it was for the better is certainly debateable and from a narrative perspective it borders on the absolute silly. If you don't mind everyone being set back in time, that's fine, but don't tout the endings as saving the civilization we were fighting to save, which is different then saving just the species.
