Sorry for the expl****ves here, but you two just got yourselves put on the same list as mr contradictorian (atlasmickey).

You misunderstand.  Harby was awesome BECAUSE he was an annoying little ******.  Games are more fun to play when you really want to kick the bad guy's ass.

If the Starbrat had been replaced by Harbinger I'd probably be slightly satisfied.

Probably.

You know, I think I figured it out.  Fanbase says, "we hate Harbinger," so Bioware marginalizes his role to the extreme.

But what we REALLY wanted was to kick his stupid robosquid face in.

I said this before Chez but no one here remembers all the harbringer hate threads we had before.

What a Shame, I rather liked him as a character. Wasn't so thrilled every time he popped up in a collector body. But, you just had to gun him down faster.

You know I didn't especially hate Harbinger but considering how much better Sovereign was in comparison to him, I honestly wished Harby had been the one that got blown up in ME1. It is rather incredible that one conversation with Sovereign made him one of my favorite characters, but either way there needed to be some real Reaper interaction in ME3. If not nothing else than to actually associate with the villain a bit, even if you didn't really talk to Harby in 2 you still got his monologues and speeches which were actually pretty good and more of that anywhere in 3 would have been well received I feel.

This is something you will have to accept. You are no longer a Mass Effect fan. It's probably going to take some time for you to realize it, but eventually it'll happen and you'll stop trolling fan forums. .

AtlasMickey? OK, that is **** enough! Wall of text incoming. Entire thing is OT but I just have to type this. I cant stand and watch what you are doing to some people on this forum.

Trolling? Right. So you are discussing what, exactly? Your very first post in this thread, let me quote it in its entire glory "The line falls in two days. Make your time."  That is indeed very good approach for a discussion. Make no mistake, there are many trolls in the ranks of Retake. I regret this. But at this time BSN is a hornets nest, where do you expect the swarm to be? If anything, they are some angry people who are overreacting and looking to channel their disappointment. And then you waltz in the middle of the hornets nest, proclaim everyone around you idiots (becouse we both know that is what you are saying, save from the form), keep poking them in the eye with the sharp stick and in the end brand them as trolls. No, good Sir/Lady, it is you who are an epitome of a troll. You want to heal the world from trolling? Start with yourself! Persecuting others for guilts you also carry is a highest form of hypocrisy. And then after all this you have the audacity to call yourself a true fan of Mass Effect over some people around here who are genuinely HURT over the ending of ME3. I read this forum long enough to recognize that among all the trolling, there are people who are in a state of mental suffering becouse of the ending of their beloved series. And then you come gloating over them and call yourself a "better and true fan". I have no words to describe this that would not break this forum's ToS. Even your signature banner is insulting if you review it with logic, which you claim is your strong perk. "Bioware deserves better fans" maaaybe would fit. "Shepard" however? Yes, that is an insult for many extremely loyal FANS of Shepard and ME in the Retake movement. And we both know it.

One thing I must applaud you for however is the fact that your trolling is successful. In my case anything that I felt over the ME3 ending could be closed up in two words "disappointment" and "sadness". I am not truly angry at Bioware or Hudson. I am just sad becouse of what they did and I am hoping that they will still make something better. A hope that keeps me here. Together with several people who share my beliefs. I do however get angry, no scratch that, I RAGE when I read some posts of individuals like you, HenchxNarf, Dridengx and maybe two more souls whose trolling levels are still under evaluation. In some mysterious way I manage to skim over most pro-enders threads and be done with it. Some of them I can respect, with some of them I can even partially agree with. And then goes in talented trolls like you who instantly rises my hypertension level over the edge. Seriously, if anytime soon I will prematurely leave this mortal world, my obituary will read "Died becouse of stroke caused by post made by BSN user AtlasMickey". How funny. What a tremendous achievement that would be for the kind like you. Again, I applaud you.

For what is said and done I may discuss and debate over the Mass Effect endings. Tending to seek compromises and common ground is a human thing to do. But regardless from anything, whatever are your beliefs about ME3 ending and whatever else this series consists of. For what you are doing to all those heartbroken fans on this forum and for your destructive personality you shall never get any form of respect. You are that kind of person I wish I never cross path with in real or virtual life. Mass Effect or not, it is just irrelevant at this point.

+1000 internets to you sir.

People are upset, hurt and frustrated, nothing I've read this person post does anything but say 'if you didn't like it, you didn't get it'.

I don't know how many people on the retake side have to say 'we got it' before they believe we got it, and its not it we are upset over, its the horrid presentation of it (RGB, Jarring change of gameplay, anti-climatic, rushed).

I am staying cautiously optimistic about the ending. At this point, I can take it or leave it.  I will pay for a new ending, but if there isn't one I just won't finish the game again and headcanon when I replay.

I wouldn't mind more explorable cities, though. I would have liked to be able to walk around more places than the Citadel. More cities = more bars. All of my Shepards are alcoholics and like to pass out from binge drinking on a regular basis.

No, no no, YOU misunderstand. Harby was awesome BECAUSE he was da baws. You want to kick his ass only because how envious you are of his greatness.

It's not him, it's YOUR inferiority. Kinda like penis-envy, except not merely genitilia, just raw reaper baws-ness.

ps. Has this derailed train-car wrecked that other derailed train-car yet?

So what did EA tell you guys? $20 for ending DLC. Or maybe ME fans are dumb enough to pay $30?

Or maybe Bioware was having a good laugh that EA is voted worst company in the world?

You did?  Cool, I guess.

I hated on Harby pretty hardcore, too, but I still looked forward to drop-kicking his metal ass all the way to the Andromeda galaxy.

I think im starting to understand how things work at bioware:

DAO complain : The combat is too slow and boring/the story is too cliche its just a bad clone of LotR.
DA2 answer : BUTTOM= AWSOME!!!!!11112/ 100 Fetch quests and lame "non-cliche" story.

ME2: Harbringer is trying too hard to sound evil, such a boring cliche villian.
ME3: Shiny boy is the final villian

Its like they are playing a game of Corrupt-a-Wish on all of us.

Well, you did get to speak with him at the end of The Arrival DLC. Well, him or the Collector General dependent on which point you actually did the DLC at. But either way, you got to be talked down to by him. Which was cool.

And yes, talking to Sovereign was even better.

Which shows the massive writing changes in ME3,  once I resume playing I'll be back at the point where I have to kill the Reaper on Rannoch. And I don't remember it speaking.

The one on Tuchanka didn't speak. Really, it was just a generic boss. Even though you were running up near it. It would have been nice for it to be taunting you. Trying to convince you of the folly of your efforts.

Much like how in Arkham Asylum the Joker would taunt his men as Batman/The player took them out. It just added to the game.

And since the Reapers to date had always been seen expressing utter disdain for non-Reaper life, well, I don't see why that wouldn't be there.

I dont quite understand this. I would like to think they are more advanced on this plan than just a couple of "great meetings".

Suppose im just hoping to see something more concrete as my trust is quite low at the moment.

To be honest all i'm expecting at this point is a generic multiplayer map pack and a nonsensical epilogue tacked onto the end of the game.

Wait what??

When did Frodo have to bang a hot witch to save Middle Earth?

Come on that comparison, whoever brought it up is kinda unfair. Of course a story set in there are gonna wind up sharing some of the tropes... after all Tolkien pretty much invented all that stuff.

Dont argue with me i LOVE DAO, this is what alot of people complained about DAO story, too cliche and it felt like a bad clone of LotR.

I guess the same thing happened with harbringer. Some people decide to criticize it and bioware decided to scrap the entire idea, just like the first script of ME3.

You know, the way the "hold the line" opposers and supporters are going at it is almost as stupid as the ending to ME3.

Considering the ending is in fact not stupid, I will take that as a compliment, with the momentary sadness from knowing the other guys will still have to feel insulted.

Nah either its that nose is so far up bw's butt you cant see or you lack the intellect to understand why the majority concurs the ending sucks. All 3 if them.

Deleted Alternate Ending; didn't make the cut.

Don't expect anything....

Probably the best outlook. I'll be less dissapointed if I don't expect anything in the first place.
