Finally something really interesting. Shadowrun rocks. Quite fitting, in fact, that they return with it in 2012.

Keep donating, I put my $125 dollars in. If they hit 1.5 million we're going to get soem fantastic stuff.
EDIT: I'm a longterm Shadowrun fan, so yes I'm looking at this through fan goggles. I've been playing since Third Edition, and i've loved the games and world since well before that when I played the Shadowrun SNES game.

Also played table top version quite a while ago, unfortunately my DM friends are always fond of middle/old ages so we just played 2-3 games in that setting. Them Riggers
I think they will likely top 1.5 .

I think/hope so too, but it's going to be close. They have about a week to get 200k more, and donations have started to slow down significantly.

Have to say, I'm surprised at the money these kickstarter projects are getting from gamers. Impressive.

So, will anybody shed light as to what is Shadowrun Online and did this begin production with the help of the kickstarter or prior to it? Just that I'd like to see the money given to Shadowrun Returns go to SR rather than SO.

No they are irrelevant, all kickstarter money goes to Shadowrun Returns only, SO was being mage by a different developer.
They are just tyring to unite all Shadowrun related stuff under that site.

Ooh. I didn't know there was an SRR thread here. That kickstarter is the most I've ever spent on on a single game. ($140, 'cause I had to add for International shipping)
I'm very happy/excited that there are several cyberpunk games that are in development (SRR, SROnline and CDPR's recently announced 'Cyberpunk').

Well the Memorial Church in Central Berlin already looks like it's seen a war. They've never probably reconstructed it after WWII. Then there had to be the Alexander Tower, the only remarkable landmark. And when there is at least some voice acting I'm hoping for silly German accents like the Scandinavian accents in Skyrim. When there is something funny about us, it is when we try to speak English.
I only spent $30 on Shadowrun returns, had previously spent $65 ($50 and $15 for shipping) on Wasteland 2 and draw the line because Shadowrun won't have a proper 3D engine and will also be developed to run on iPad so I'll think grafics will suck heavily.

They started to release some Shadowrun stories, nothing in this story reflects gameplay dynamics or story in the
upcoming Shadowrun Returns, but it does keep the classic Shadowrun tone.
