You just misquoted her in the topic title in order to make a point which she did not.

It's the title of the article, also she's being diplomatic.

No it's not, the title says "Ending". As in she is in denial about not getting to do a Mass Effect 4.

And she says ""I have mixed feelings," she told Edge. "I really respect the team and what they did and how hard they worked. And endings are hard! They're cutting new ground; the players are so involved in this game that to come up with an ending to something everyone's got their hand in is a huge challenge. So maybe it's going to take a little work to get everything sorted in a way that's going to make everybody happy." in the article.

It doesn't sound super-diplomatic. It sounds like she could go either way on it.

If the "Indoctrination Theory" is true then of course she wouldn't be approached to voice more lines. They would have done all of that already and waited to release it as downloadable-content.

this is priceless. the level of denial required is magnificent.

Actually...no....he's correct....if IT was planned all along then her lines would be recorded already....and considering she's admitted to never finishing an ME game, and that she has a NDA, this article says nothing of importance...This topic has already been discussed in another thread.

Your level of ignorance is magnificent

A new ending wouldn't fix the problems with the current ones, unless they removed the current ones from the game and replaced the ending entirely. I really want them to explain/expand/fill in the gaps/fix the current endings.

I feel sorry for Hale, since the animations look so bad. She turned the crap writing into gold but the animations make her and everyone else in the game look like ventriloquists.

Where does this idea come from that all the lines would have already been recorded if IT is true?  That same logic could be applied if isn't.

She says that she has not been contacted to record more lines for Shepard, yet we know that DLC will be released. You guys need to relax.

well keep in mind she plays fem shep and the dlc may involve the normandys crew because bioware stated fans will have closure through dlc so imo i think itll be about the normandy crash if anything

just thought id throw that out there

Many horrible ending have been redafted and put into practice. I side with Hale. I will just deny that what we got is going to be the final ending to the Mass Effect.

Not looking good for Bioware at this point if you ask me. They are finding out what being owned by EA can do to a company. Too bad for them because if no ending changes happen I'm out as a customer. And I've been a big fan from the original Baldur's Gate series all the way through the last 15 years or so.

Sad to see a company perish like this but they deserve it from their crapfest of an ending.

 I can see it now:

(Casey, Mac, and Ray, together): "LALALALALA ARTISTIC INTEGRITY  LALALALALA CLARIFICATION LALALALALA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

It's clear they made a mistake, I don't know why they find such difficulty in just admitting this and correcting it.

I like her voiceacting in ME-series much more than man-Shep, when i first time heard her voice as a Femshep my mind just explode.... It´s just ridiculous how they can did that to this great game series.

Lip syncing off 99% of the time, character hunched over guns and looking into nothing during cutscenes. The usual. Pay attention to what the character animations are doing and you'll realize motor disability and poor eye coordination affects 90% of the human population after the reaper invasion. Aliens are better since their eyes are all black.

That article title mentions the endings.

Being diplomatic is about playing both sides, but you didn't see her leap to its defence.

This irked me a lot, too.  When I started a new full play-through back in mid February, starting with ME1, I ran into so many "wtf" moments with animations, placement and general bugs it really took away from the magnifigence of the series.

When I'm talking one of the Quarian admirals after Tali's initial trial, why is Shepard looking off to the left, at a wall?!   sigh....

This is the quote the title comes from
"However, she did admit that she likes to imagine that the "Mass Effect" adventure isn't over yet, saying "I prefer to live in denial about it because it makes me too sad.""

This is the title
|Mass Effect 3 Ending: 'I Prefer To Live In Denial,' Says Jennifer Hale"

She is not commenting on the endings controversy.

Because if IT is true....then Bioware planned it....if its not true, then it was never intended.

If they planned it, then they would already have the ones recorded.

If they didn't plan it...then the IT was an educated guess that turned out to be false....

Part of the core points of IT is that Bioware intended it, hence all the so-called "evidence" the believers say is intentionally put in the game....

I don't know if its true.....and neither do you.....or anybody else for that matter....

We won't know until Bioware officially comments....and they haven't yet.....their Twitter won't comment on IT when they are asked about it....they just say "more news in April"

This will all be over soon....either way

I don't get all the Jennifer Hale/Femshep love. There's something I can;t put my finger on about her voice and they way she delivers lines in the games that puts me off. She did a good job though, I agree, but there's something at the back of my mind that doesn't enjoy it.

That being said, her not being contacted for extra dialogue isn't the nail in the coffin for the Indoc. Theory. They could have all of this pre-planned and pre-recorded.

Or they will most likely just release a rushed epilogue with text and images, no male or female shep voicework will be needed for that.
That is the most likely outcome. EA is full of greedy investors who want to spend the least amount of money possible and maximize their profit margins.

Interesting tidbit that seems to have been overlooked:
"Hale revealed that she was disappointed by the ending, impressed by the reactions from fans, and hopeful-- though not necessarily optimistic--that Bioware and EA will ever release a new ending."

Taken from the article.  Discuss.

She is not in denial over the endings then, as the title states.
