In Mass Effect 2...when Shepard died, and was brought back to life to work with an agency I had gone to a dozen planets in the first game and seen their horrible experiments for myself.

As far as IN ME3:
The very beginning, when they didn't bother to explain how the Reapers got into the galaxy so quickly. Then when Shepard had auto-conversation for the first 10 minutes of the game. Then when I saw the kid die, and I knew they wanted me to feel something, but I didn't. And then when I got to Mars and Cerberus was killing humans while Earth burned...and then once more when I found out about the Crucible (HELLO, Deus Ex Machina!)...and then when I got sent to the Citadel and didn't have my squadmates with me (although I do have to admit, I'm mostly happy with how it turned out).

Honestly, the first 10 hours or so of the game for me weren't all that great. After Palaven, it picked up considerably...until the Earth mission when they ****teased me with the Mako! "Look, Mako's EVERYWHERE! Run towards this one...come on...little closer...EAT MY DUST, SHEPARD! BOOM!"

Made me a sad panda.

Probably ME2 with joining Cerberus and it's own still-better-than-ME3's ending.

Then on Mars with the Crucible. I held onto hope though. Easy to do so early. Then on Thessia (although I was enjoying the mission so much over all, and they definitely made me hate Kai Leng for no reason other than "he needs to die now"), when the VI spoke of a controlling force and whatnot. Still held onto hope, having faith that it wouldn't get stupid. The nail in the "uh-oh" coffin was the elevator of light at the very end, after a confusing walk through the citadel and TIM's control of my actions. It was then my friend said "this is when it gets silly". It got so silly.

Mars and the Crucible talk, and how the characters are certain it's a ready-made Reaper defeater from the first moment it's given a mention in the script.

I didn't know what the uhoh was going to be but I knew the first time you had the dream of the kid that whatever plotline the kid dominated was going to be terrible. And then he showed up in the end.

When I got hit by Harbinger's beam, and they game wouldn't allow me to dodge it. Until that point I was expecting it to go something like the first game. Get to the conduit with your team, and fight your way through the Citadel... then THAT happened.

In all honesty, who kept a straight face when the one admiral from the introduction goes "Whatever it is, it's incomprehensibly powerful!"

That line plus the delivery deserve their own meme already.

I'd heard about the bad endings shortly before release right here, on BSN. As I played the game for my mother (March 6 is her birthday), I had a very queasy feeling in my gut the whole time. Mostly I ignored it due to the awesome stuff BEFORE the ending, but it never left entirely.

As soon  as the first combat mode with Anderson started. The graphics took a big step backwards. Rushing felt like your Shepard was floating.

Then when Steve the gay shuttle pilot started crying about his dead husband, and my dude Shepard just stood there with an idiotic grin on his face. I was hoping there would be a conversation wheel option that said: "Ooo, uh, ya, that sucks... so how about the Mars Sox, think they got a chance this year?", or: "You know what? I forgot, EDI just wanted me to check to see if the floor panels were doing ok. *Thumps foot* Yup, they're solid. Well, gotta go."
