The forced beginning. My personal background and training told me then and there It was off. That feeling only built. Which is why I Ctrl-Alt-deleted and ended program before the end. then watched them on You Tube. and why I will not play the game again unless decent DLC makes it less of a mess with a real choice of endings. not 3 variations of BAD.

Honestly, it began on Mars: "We have found plans for a weapon which can destroy all Reapers!"...Great...

When Harbinger's laser hit. With it, came all lost hope of an epic ending.

I <3 You Harbinger, thanks for trying to save me from a terrible game.

When the kid's shuttle was shot down on Earth, I sort of went uh-oh, they just killed a kid. This will not end well (meaning the end would not be entirely happy), Shepard's toast. Then later when I was hit by Harbinger's beam I sort of figured I'd messed up somewhere and was getting one of the less than optimal endings. As such I was Ok with it, went with synthesis and thought it was a reasonable ending. Wasn't really dissatisfied until I found out that was basically the only ending.

Hmmm

This is hard to pin point, because I think the signs were there, but I didn't notice it on my first play through. I was so engulfed in the series, the story, that I was just happy to get a new chapter in the story. I was devouring it.

I guess my first uh oh moment really came when I did the last mission. It felt really thin and repetitive. There was no boss fight, it was just recycling the enemies I had spent 20 + hours already fighting. The level design felt poor and rushed. So when I got hit with the beam and taken up to the Citadel, I had a knot in my stomach. Everything felt off.

Now that I've played the game again, I guess I would say the game's lack of side missions, depth to the squad, all the signs were there. The game was an on the rails/action game that gutted the depth of past games.

When I got hit by Harbys laser.  I just went "oh God I have a really bad feeling about this".

I know a lot of people only hated the Starbrat stuff, but everything after getting hit by Harbys laser just didn't sit well with me.  It didn't feel like Mass Effect anymore.

Yah, when you put it like that, it sounds awful. Good thing the game doesn't put it like that.

My only real 'Uh-oh' moment was when the neighbors started filing complaints for yelling at my TV too loud at the ending.

The start, seriously, as soon as Liara spoke about the Crucible.... went like...

"Wait. What? Youre saying the Reapers can be defeated by some super weapon that the previous race was building and weve had it laying on our laps for 30 years?...... Why did i spend 2 games trying to convince everyone the Reapers were even real -_-?"

But i got over it in no time, and then after an amazing ride, and one of my favorite scenes ever (Shepard with Anderson, Shepard spent and falling down).... the elevator.... yup, puff. ME died.

My first uh-oh was when I realized that I was racing against time to reach a conduit to the Citadel and open the arms, exactly like in ME1.

My second uh-oh was the instant I saw starkid.

Honestly "The Citadel has been moved to Earth!" was a red flag, but I ignored it at the time.

This, this exactly. It was so something so stupid that it even broke the 4th. wall, but then I ignored it. "It can get only better after this."

The elevator of light. I thought something like "ok, now it's start to freak out".

Well, my first moment I said the words "Uh-Oh" and truly went into panic mode when the elevator started to separate from the floor. The feeling of utter panic and the notion that I should really alt-f4 out struck me then.

Should've listened to my feelings for once.

Besides we all knew there would be a huge deus ex machina. I'm just glad they got it out of the way early so it was built into the game and accepted before the ending.

Everytime the Vent kid was on screen (Earth and the dream sequences) I had this uneasy feeling.  I remember thinking that Bioware are better storytellers than this, they have to know that this is just cheap and not terribly emotional.

And then the Catalyst showed up.

Yeah... at that point I knew we were off the reservation.

When we headed through the Sol relay. And wandering around the ship talking to people and there was all this talk about not coming back. Then again in London with all this talk about not coming back. >7000 war assets 100% galactic readiness and all this negative talk. Then Shepard's half-hearted, talk to the troops. I think the only one there who was talking half-way positive was Javik "you have an opportunity my people never had." Everyone else talking about heaven. Just slit my wrists right then and let's all give up.

Then when we got hit with the laser -- ran straight line 'cause everything was visual effects. No armor. Had an Arc pistol in hand but then got up with a Predator pistol in hand, thinking WTF???? I knew this wasn't going to end well.

Then TIM half a husk, and then SpaceHitler.

PS: Then there was the 2001: A Space Idiocy ripoff scene that jarred you out of your love scene when you saw yourself embracing the kid and burning while looking back at yourself. --- that was the big tip off that you are dead.

My first uh-oh moment was the Rachni mission. No matter what you chose in the first game they were going to be an enemy. The choice didn't matter.

I forget where, but they hint that the Reapers are not in control. There's something higher, above them. I started to worry at that point, because i figured that it would be revealed close to the end and probably forced... oh wait!
