Big Dan, showing his skills!

Sorry that I keep bringing this up, but it's just infuriating to see that idiot standing there.

Was glad to see Ivan get a sub, he's a great fighter and he was very classy.

F*ck Sakara. What a dirty scumbag. I don't want to hear any 'in the heat of battle' of excuses. You might as well hit a guy 7 times in the balls. I hope he gets starched in his next fight.

Any way, three weeks left for UFC on FOX 5. Very very stoked on this card. Penn vs. MacDonald, Shogun vs. Gustafsson, Nate Diaz vs. Ben Henderson.

An excellent line-up there! Shogun will be a stiff test for Gustafsson, but I'm guessing the big Swede wins. Penn submits MacDonald. Henderson humbles Diaz. Those are my picks.

Picking Shogun to win by TKO/KO in the third round. Penn by submission and Diaz just cause of the lols that will be had when he does his victory speech, though on paper Bendo will probably be too much for him.

Damn, sucks being wrong about Shogun, not quite as bummed about Nate and B.J. but Shogun is one of my favourite fighters.

I get really bored watching MMA, prefer boxing, but I like Cain Velasquez. I'm glad he won back his belt, VIVA MEXICO!

Plenty of good MMA fights out there, hell I can link you five videos right now.

My dad is a fan (he likes boxing more, though), and I used to watch it with him since Pride was up and running. I've seen a lot of the fighters in their prime like: Wanderlei Silva, Dan Henderson, Mirko Cro-Cop, Mark Coleman, and Chuck Liddell dominating opponents.  I haven't been watching since it first started, but I have been watching it for a good while.

In my  opinion, it is just a trashy sport. People wrestling, throwing god-awful punches, and inaccurate kicks. Before you start linking fights like Griffin vs. Bonnar or Matt Hughes vs. George St. Pierre, I've seen a lot of the "best fights ever." I've even seen Rampage Jackson's huge body slam of Rocardo Arona and other highlights.

One thing that boxing could take a page from UFC is that they book prime vs. prime fighters more often than boxing. Still, matches like: Marco Antonio Barrera vs. Erik Morales, Thomas Hearns vs. Marvin Hagler, and Juan Manuel Marquez vs. Manny Pacquiao, and Arturo Gatti vs. Mickey Ward easily beat out all the great fights in MMA. All this is my opinion, of course. Even with all the trashy boxing matches I've watched, the only time I've fell asleep watching a sport was during UFC.

I totally disagree, I think MMA is more pure when it comes to a fight being an actual fight. The reason you don't see fighters using boxing stances is that they have to worry about being taken down. Boxing just focuses on one aspect, punches, where as in MMA you got everything. Kicks, throws, wrestling, punches, grappling, knees and elbows. Boxing may be known as the sweet science, but put a boxer against an MMA fighter and the MMA guy will win cause he's more well rounded.

And when I say great fights, I mean great fights. Fights like Shogun vs. Nogueira, Shogun vs. Dan Henderson, Rampage vs. Liddell (in Pride, not UFC), Shogun vs. Overeem (in the 2005 tournament) and so on.

Another and very good technical fight would be Lyoto Machida vs. Shogun (the first fight). High level Karate vs. good Muay Thai.

Well another titleshot opportunity lost for Bisping.

Edit: Big Dan, best ref in the game, is showing that he's consistent in stopping fights way way too late. My brother remarked that he's probably thinking about steaks while the fight is on.

UFC 156 tonight, picking Edgar by upset and Rashad and Overeem to beat Nogueira and Silva. Not sure about Maia and Fitch, Fitch seems like the safest bet.

I pick Aldo over Edgar but agree with all your other picks.

....Quite the safety first effort by Aldo. Not really impressed, but I know Edgar is tough. Why is it Edgar seems at a physical disadvantage with everyone he faces? I swear he could fight at 100 pounds and still seem like the underdog.

Look at Hunt, KO'ing Struve and walking away like the boss he is.

Alright folks, who do you got? Smart money says GSP by UD, but I'd love to see Diaz win it would shake up the entire division.

50-45 for GSP, maybe Hendricks and his wrestling will be more challenging.
