Agree with OP, Ashley and Garrus were my top choice dream team as well.

In ME2...I think I went with Garrus/Miranda the most (her squad boost is great). On Insanity, had to be Wrex/Miranda.

 I'm an infiltrator all the way. Tried all kind if things yet I always end back up as a sniper. It's just what I do.

So, Wrex and Garrus. Send Wrex forward and have him pull agro with fortification/barrier on while me and Garrus pop heads off.
