Think they people who didn't like the ending are just a vocal minority?

EA/Bioware does.

When they come back to try and sell their next ME product we will find out for certain. I think Bioware won't be happy,

I dislike the ending tremendously, but my level of hate never reached "omg join the Retake movement" levels.

In fact, the notion that people were so upset put it in perspective for me that it was just a game and helped me get over it pretty quickly.

I hope that the zots being spent on the Extended Cut aren't being taken away from other content they had planned to release, though.

Maybe that's just me. Maybe there's a lot of people like me. Who knows?

I agree with you. I disliked the endings but it was never about hate or fury. I also hope that they do not forgo other planned DLC for a new free ending. I was unhappy about the ending but my feelings are mixed about them actually changing it.

Dislike does not automatically equal fury or hate. I disliked the endings very much, because they were full of plot holes, not very well executed or keeping with the lore of the series. But to me it was always an academic discussion backed up by factual (as factual as we can get when dealing with a creative work of fiction) points.

Well I guess since this is up on the forum now:

http://social.biowar.../index/11028404

Indoc theory is a sham, its just more cut scenes and a montage "explaining" what happened.

This must just hack at your beliefs of what the game is huh Alex?

When you compare the number of copies sold to the number of people in a Facebook group, you make the assumption that everyone who is not a member of the Facebook group likes the ending. That is a false assumption. Your chart is BS.

I loved Mass effect 3 but disliked parts of the ending...

It's not impossible to like the game but still have an issue with the conclusion.

To be frankly honest i didn´t want to guess concerning if we were a majority or not but nowadays i actually am starting to think that we are a majority.

I dont think anyone can tell who is in the majority/minority.

Whats clear though is that the ending caused the biggest outcry in gaming I can remember.

Sorry, but I don't agree with you.

Read all about it! And see the cool chart!

ANOTHER EVEN BETTER CHART! Just added.

Edit: I changed the layout of the chart. Please disregard any comments about the pie chart being inaccruate. Although I contest that it was, this one is more accurate.

"Even Better" than what...?  Utter crap? Congrats on your improvements!

The vast majority of players seem to hate the Mass Effect 3 ending. I
have been fighting many long and hard battle on the bioware forums about
it. Doing my best to fight the good fight but but it's alot like
playing whack-a-mole. I noticed multiple ending detractors refering to
this article: Mass Effect 3 Ending Hatred 5 Reasons Fans are Right
as proof that the ending is indeed bad. I would like to take this
article on, and prove to you that the ending is actually not bad. Most
of my philosphy is based on a "Indoctrination Theory" which I believe
solves all issue and is the intended interpretation of the ending.

Once I saw that you're a supporter of the Indoc Theory, I lost interest and you lost all credibility. Sorry, but I don't think your statistics are valid nor prove anything either. Have a nice day!

I actually like the endings partly, and prefer them to the indoctrination theory. The indoc theory fials for a complete lack of closure on anything - it's not an ending at all, because nothing happens.

But I still want more closure, as I think they are filled with plot holes where the writers assumed that everyone would 'get it', but we didn't.

I'm not in Retake ME3 and so does any of my friends and every one of them hate ending. So OP statistics are very wrong. There are still a lot of people who also just don't care and have moved on. They played, they didn't like and even doesn't bothered to come here to tell that because they just decided it's not worth it.

Hang on, since when has supporting an idea been a reason to ignore other information, personally I just see that as a poor excuse, the most rational course of action is to look over the information whether you like it or not, that way you have the information  for rebuttle.

Dlc which is already made doesn't cost anything to be delivered after the storm is predicted to subside . What is lost is the income from a poorly executed plan to integrate it into the story.

Compared to CoD, Gears of War, etc, like most non forum going, satisfied with the ending, ME players, ME3 has a great story and ending I'm sure.  Especially if you started the series at the last game.

The problem is using these people to say that majority do not hate the ending.

Yeah lets ignore all the poll's about the ending across multiple websites. From my personal experience those who don't want the ending changed are the vocal minority, hence this, the dangerous precedent and artistic integrity nonsence, most I know who have finished the game I know have thought the ending was awful then disregarded mass effect (and some Bioware) I'm only here because I love mass effect and Bioware.
