What? Sales VS dislike of the game ?I bought the game and I hate it.

Are you part of the facebook group/twitter?

Up until that ambition of an ending I’ve never made a post I was one of the many who come to the forums and never gave an option it never meant I didn’t have one.

Hey OP, did you draw that yourself?

You might want to read this www.customerservicemanager.com/customer-service-facts.htm

I worked in sales years ago and it was true then. The product might have changed but people have not.

Hmmm... I'm in both categories on that pie chart. Weird. . . oh yeah. I had to buy the game to get to the end.

And it was still terrible.

Dat trolling. Son have you gone to school for that obvious disability with numbers? You should be a politician as you seem to be spinning only the points that you find valid.

Maybe someone should explain to the OP and the owner of that site that a "poll" is not something exotic dancers spin around in strip clubs.

Also, if they could be directed to the definition of "sample," that might clear things up as well.

And where do you take the 66.000? So in your opinion the RM3 group consists of nobody but the people on Facebook and Twitter? Is the Bioware fan community now only consisting of third-party members and not even members of their own board?

Your calculations are weird.

Well I can't possibly go find everyone, but as a metric of "measuring support" of the retake movement I figured the official Facebook group that everyone links too and twitter account were about as good as I could do. I don't think they are weird I am not hiding any numbers.

If you know of a secret underground where 100,000 more supporters are hiding then you know something I dont.

You just assume that everyone on Facebook and Twitter who joined one specific group on each is the entire RM3 group. Then explain that to the people in the world that don't join english-speaking groups on the internet because they don't speak english. I, as a German, know lots of them.

In order for you to make an actual guess of the majority/minority when it comes to ME3 ending haters/lovers, you'd have to get the numbers of hundreds of thousands of widely different internet forums. You'd have to check chinese, german, french, italian, spanish and whatnot forums just to get a slight guess at the actual numbers.

What you're doing is taking a few thousand people who simply joined a facebook and twitter group under the name "RetakeME3" and call these a vocal minority and make them the entire group of people who disliked the endings. Not everyone voiced their opinions. Not everyone joined for language barriers. RetakeME3 is not all the anti-enders.

You can't get an accurate guess and therefore all discussions about such a topic are doomed to fail. You won't find out about the majority and minority in this matter.

They're the wrong two numbers if you're trying to figure out wether or not the people against the ending are in the minority.

And yes, yes I am. Hence the reason I used the word not just once, but twice in the post you quoted.

Not because you don't seem to know how statistics work, that's perfectly understandable. No, I called you ignorant for refusing to realise your error, despite the number of people pointing it out to you

Your smuggness is cute. But you have made 0 valid points other than call me names.

I never called you names, I made a statement about your intelligence, or perhaps peceptual/cognitive skills?

And I have brought up the two points that matter:

1 - You compared the wrong two numbers

2 - Facebook/Twitter is not a comprehensive list of everyone that is dissatisfied with the game and it's endings

I bought Mass Effect 3, I hate the endings, and I have not joined the FB or Twitter group.

You're underestimating the vast amount of people that don't have either a Facebook or Twitter account. You're also using your own baseless personal opinions of what type of people that the ME3 consumer base is typically comprised of.

Statistical analysis doesn't get much more flawed than that.

So, is OP a troll simply because people disagree? Or is he/she able to voice a different point of view? And, for those that post "This again?"...are they saying the same thing about the countless ending complaint threads here?

Agreeing with something is alot easier then disagreeing with something over and over and over again :P

So, what about agreeing with it over and over and over again?

Read the part where i said it was easier.

How so?

This isnt an arguement with you friend. Its common knowledge people like to agree.

On that we agree.  This forum proves that!   :)

I thought we have already decided that there was no way to determine the exact amount of people on either side...

You are right there isn't a way.

However the retake mass effect movement has a very specific goal "to get the ending changed" and I figured measureing it's memebers is pretty accurate of zealous detractors. Obviously I know many people are simply silent.

Only about 10% of people will make thier opinion on somehing known be it positive or negative.

Agreed. Ergo the 66000 is actually 660000(going by %10 not %5, giving you the benefit of the doubt) which constitutes about %25 of all purchasers of ME3 which in terms of dollar amount lost on future dlc, future bioware games, and any other money ammounts to exactly one ****load of money.

So a guy puts skewed statistics on a pie graph in a gaudy-looking website and expects people to think he's credible.

^^ vid from OP's blog.

So to put this bluntly he thinks you guys are idiots and convincing him to look at it through your perspective is a waste of time, and at this point he is pretty much attacking you guys. Yes he is trolling you so.....don't waste your time. :innocent:

That pie chart is also based on the fact that people vote on Facebook. Some people (like me) dont care enough to log into facebook and join some social network bs meme group. I voice my opinion on BSN where the people who make the game actually look... not some cesspool social media site.

I absolutely hate the endings to the point where I play my games up to Marauder shields, then intentionally let him kill me, and just end it there. Still a better ending.

That's the dumbest pie chart ever. I bought the game, and I never joined the Retake Mass Effect movement, but I hated the ending. But on that chart, I'd be in the blue.

I know there are many, many others like me.

I never claimed that I took an accruate account of all people that don't like the ending. I very clearly identified both sets on my piechart. There is nothing flawed about it. I simply chose a metric with which I can measure the "movement" and presented it in a pie chart.

Show me different numbers please and I will be happy to make a new pie chart.
