Well done, but synthesis still makes no sense :) Love the game but wow synthesis is just too out there to be believable. But really nice work on this was fun to go through it.

I laughed at Garrus' slide. I could definitely see him living off of the royalties

This is what I expected!!

They could have killed Shepard thousand times over and as long as I had something like this at the end, I would have been satisfied.

With BioWare's established relay lore, all it would be is white noise as everything was blown up by the Relay explosion.

That being said, a great effort, I just wish I could accept non-canon endings.

No - but galaxy wide communication would prob not be possible nearly that soon

Can we forward this to some devs on the ME3 team? :-)

All joking aside, nice job. Lets hope their ending is as good as yours.

Really well done. Much more satisfying than what we got. Ace.

Have you considered applying @ Bioware? You're a very talented writer.

Really interesting take on "Control". Shep dies, but becomes the heart and soul of the reapers.

Wait a minute...didn't Joker say "I just wish we had a better plan like time travel or teaching the reapers to love...."

OMG, Shepard can teach the reapers to love!

*facepalm*

You know, I should give credit where credit's due: my interpretation of that branch was strongly influenced by Eliezer Yudkowsky's concept of "coherent extrapolated volition."

Don't get me wrong, I loved it. It's my favorite of the three. I just thought it was funny because it connected to one of Joker's quips.  It shows that even "death" can't keep Shep from protecting the galaxy.

EDIT: just realized you also stopped the question: "If Shep can control the reapers, why the hell didn't s/he have the reapers kill each to complete remove the threat.

Aw, thank you! I'm in the Bay Area though, and not really willing to relocate to Edmonton.

Plus, game writing actually requires a pretty different set of skills from the sort of straightforward fiction writing I used to make those slides (or the journalistic kind of writing that I do professionally). I think game writing would be a fun challenge, but I'm not necessarily particularly qualified.

It's nice work, but it's a tad too 80s "where are they now" slideshow for my taste.

It is still better than the ending we got from BW thus far.   It shows that the three endings are different and not just a color choice and they show the short-term outcome of your decison.  It at least helps answer the fates of the galaxy and your closest companions.

I like the post-credit-roll "Stargazer" video (VO by Buzz Aldrin) but that's a long-term view with no difference no matter which choice you made.  So it's not a satisfying end becuase it doesn't answer those questions and this site at least tries to do just that.

It also raises the bar on BW to make the EC DLC better and more fulfulling.

I thought she did a good job with synthesis. I doesn't make much sense no matter what you do with it, but the idea of short range telepathic communication makes it a decent choice. also bumping for others to see and get some closure

Good stuff. Only looked at one outcome so far. You nailed Garrus. Joker and EDI was touching in destroy as well.

Really great job. Devs could have used a bit of brainstorming of this level. It would have taken 1 day and players could have accepted the endings a bit easier.

P. S. Would be great if you could add what happens to all surviving party members from ME2 also.

Thanks a lot, your slides are great! You set the bar high for Bioware's extended cut DLC.

Story telling is an art, and while the writing may be far from perfect, it's still more artful and better done then the endings that shipped with ME3.

If the expanded endings later this summer don't quite do the trick, -this- ending will be the one I will always remember and think of.

Its funny how someone makes slides that are better then what Bioware made with a full staff of writters, etc. :pinched:

Thats right Bioware, a slide show schooled you. :o

Nice job.

I am sure Bioware, with a paid team of professional writers, could have done something like this also, but how were they supposed to know that there was a demand for it.
