Excerpted from The Normandy: A Study in Heroism The AI known as EDI was, of course, destroyed when the Crucible 'fired'. Notably, the crew of the Normandy chose to bury the EDI chassis rather than attempting to salvage or repurpose its technology.According to multiple sources, when Flight Lieutenant Moreau died in the survivors' first year planetside, EDI's grave was opened so that Moreau could be interred beside it.

Excerpted from The Normandy: A Study in Heroism  Major Kaidan Alenko, the galaxy's second human Spectre, had assumed command of the Normandy following his extraction from London. According to interviews with survivors, his efforts before the Crucible fired had been focused on organizing a new ground crew with the objective of locating and supporting Commander Shepard; however, conditions in the theater of war prevented a second landing.A year after the crash, Alenko initiated a transfer of power from military command to a democratically-elected Settlement Council. Elected as one of the first Councilors, he continued to serve in that post until the ultimate discovery and rescue of the Normandy crew.Shortly after their reunion, Major Alenko and Commander Shepard were married in a private ceremony on Earth. The event sparked a media sensation, feeding a war-torn population's need for catharsis and hope. "Bridegroom" Shepard memorial plates continue to fetch a high price on auction markets today.
Excerpted from The Normandy: A Study in HeroismLieutenant James Vega and Private Bethany Westmoreland were among those who chose to start a family during the years the Normandy crew spent marooned planetside. They had two small children when the survivors were rescued, and a third was born shortly thereafter. After their rescue, Vega and Westmoreland returned to Earth to participate in reconstruction efforts. "No time to lose," Vega said in an interview. "Life's too short. I'd say that's something I learned from Shepard."

Email to Dr. T'Soni, from the Broker  Liara,You can't imagine how it feels to know that you're alive.I think they'll want to pin a medal on you. And anything I can give you, of course, I will. I've been running things while you were gone, but I'll step back if you want to take over again. So what are your plans? Books to write, papers to give? Ruins to explore? A shadow market of information and secrets to run? Or just a quiet place to live for a while, with frequent visits from your many friends? You can have all of those things, of course. The galaxy is yours. May it be worthy of you.Always your friend,

 Liara as LI:

Email to Dr. T'Soni, from the Broker

Liara, You can't imagine how it feels to know that you're alive.I heard you have a daughter now, and that you've given her Shepard's name. Lucky girl. I can't wait to meet her.I think they'll want to pin a medal on you. And anything I can give you, of course, I will. I've been running things while you were gone, but I'll step back if you want to take over again. So what are your and Shepard's plans? Books to write, papers to give? Ruins to explore? A shadow market of information and secrets to run? Or just a quiet place to live for a while and raise your daughter, with frequent visits from your many friends? You can have all of those things, of course. The galaxy is yours. May it be worthy of you.Always your friend,

The quoted slide is from the destroy ending, with an EMS of five thousand or higher, or an EMS of four thousand or higher provided that you prevent TIM from shooting Anderson a second a time...

Hmm, I thought that Garrus died from starvation before rescue on all Destroy options.

I've been making PDFs of your slides --just in case there is some DCMA action that makes you take it down-- I wanted to preseve these endings for myself and others.

Can you upload them somewhere so other can download?
All I get is "Error in page".

These are awesome. Very well done, and infinitely better than the ending in the game.

Thank you for creating this.

I love the little details like this:

Message text transmitted via short-burst neutron emissions, encoded in human "Morse" protocol

I'm hoping Siduri will release them.  I don't want to step on their toes.

Since people are posting excerpts, here's part of my Synthesis epilogue. I consider this the most poignant goodbye the game could have given my Shepard, if Bioware had only wanted to. I can read it again and again it never stops affecting me the same way: I'm moved to tears. Shepard is gone, but he has given the galaxy a unique gift and a bright future.

Post-Crucible, Day 41
Memorial speech delivered by Provisional Councilor Kahlee Sanders, at the ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral, London

I haven't ever given a speech like this before. A lot of us have been doing a lot of things for the first time, these past several weeks.

We're still figuring out how things are going to work now. We have these new spontaneous short-range networking capabilities—those of you who are physically present are sharing my thoughts at hyper-verbal speeds—and we're achieving a kind of unity and consensus that was never before possible. On the other hand, we still haven't established extra-system communications or travel, so we're not sure if the same thing is happening across the galaxy. We think it must be.

Even the Reapers are maintaining a presence in the network right now. I can feel their thoughts, so vast and timeless, like whales singing to each other in the lightless depths. I'm sorry. I seem to be straying from my prepared remarks.

We're here because, even as we mingle and exchange and learn, we need to mark what we have lost. We need to mourn. Those of us with organic origins have lost loved ones, homes, comrades-in-arms. Those of us with synthetic origins have lost analogous things. And all of us have lost so, so much time. Time spent at war with each other, when we could have been sharing and building and creating.

Out of all that has been lost, we have chosen today to mark the passing of a single human life. We are gathered together to mourn, and to celebrate, the enduring sacrifice of Commander Cyrus Shepard, the architect of our future.

Commander Shepard gave us our tomorrows. He isn't here to see them dawn. But all of us who look upon a rising star do so because of him.

We grieve, but we also rejoice. This is Shepard's victory. This is our victory. Thank you.

Another slide adds by implication that the Reapers have helped rebuilding the relays. So everything is well with the galaxy. Shepard can go. That's what I've always wanted.

If IT turns out not true, then this is how I would like to see the EE dlc to turn out. I mean I liked the original ending( minus the normandy scene ) before I heard about the IT. But still great job.

Weird, what options do you want?  What slides most important?   Sheppard's Fate?  LI?

Agreed, it actually makes synthesis a palatable option for me.

An old browser version, perhaps? That's where I often get problems with javascript code. If you want, list your answers to the questions here and I can PDFify the slides and PM you a link for downloading it.

I really like these slides.
But does anyone else find the 4000+EMS ending for control to be worse than the 2000-3999EMS version?

I too romanced Kaidan so back off he's mine!  (wink)   It would be this:

Excerpted from The Normandy: A Study in Heroism
Major Kaidan Alenko, the galaxy's second human Spectre, had assumed command of the Normandy following his extraction from London. According to interviews with survivors, his efforts before the Crucible fired had been focused on organizing a new ground crew with the objective of locating and supporting Commander Shepard; however, conditions in the theater of war prevented a second landing.

(edit formatting)

Edit 2:  I guess it'd be "Bridegroom" or "Bride" depending...

Slide for Garrus for destroy with EMS lower than 4000 (I had 3800) almost made me tear up.

The only thing I don't like is the part where my sheperd begins a mission to find the Normandy when we miracualously rebuild a realy of some sort.

The only evidence that sheperd could have acquired is that the Normandy left the Sol system. The galaxy is filled with only about 1% matter the rest is empty space. If the Normandy did not exit the relay mass corridor before it collapsed then Sheperd can only conclude that if they're not on the other side of a relay nexus then the chances of them landing on a habitable planet are null.

The Normandy crash is miraculous and therefore Sheperd has no evidence to beleive they are alive.
The chances of him ever finding them are non-existent. Sure the writers can explain that a long distance quantum entanglement communicator survived or the Normandy transmitted a long range distress but that's highly unlikely and too convenient. It would irritate me more because it shows the writers aren't following a logical and realistic circumstantial plot but are just pulling conveniences out of their arse and ignoring the grand perspective of these complications.

The chances of landing/crashing on a habitual planet are so tiny it's not worth mentioning, so suspension of disbelief is already out the window. So transmitting an SOS isn't so bad.

The entire Normandy running away part doesn't make sense. At least for my Shepard, my team would NOT run away at the last second. They need to explain WHY they ran in the first place.
