 I am at the PED Control Center where you are SUPPOSED to use L and X to go from cover to cover to escape that flippin gun and get behind it to activate the PED Controls. The problem is L and X do NOT work consistently! Sometimes L and X works usually at the first entrance wall, to the second and third, but, as soon as you are in the main room with the gun it just flakes out! Sometimes it works from one cover to the next, then it fails and Shepherd just stands there getting slaughtered. Other times Shepherd rolls around like a monkey and gets shredded to pieces by that gun. I have tried the game controller attached and wireless, neither makes a difference. I have the latest patch and software. Anyone else having this trouble? Did you find a work around??  THANKS!!!

If this is the part on Mars, just run manually there and move to the side as quickly as possible
I am now Narrative currently and just played this part for fun and the controls worked way better then then ever did on Insane mode the other few times I was at this point.

Make sure your dualshock's buttons are clean and that the controller itself is not damaged.

Controller is in great shape. I'm an OLD UNIX Hardware guy, my controller is cleaner than my laptop!!! Thanks Gezr! ecto69 Thanks, yeah it's the part on mars. I do ok on manual runs, BUT when I try and use X to make em duck behind cover, that is when he starts rolling around like a feckin monkey and just gets shredded! I'll keep trying! Thanks Y'al!!

If you are past the first hall way, you need to use the x to crouch behind the boxes.
And then do the roll to the left to the next box.

To crouch behind a box you need to face the box and then hit the button,other wise you might roll if you also use the joystick at the same time.
