This is a very well known set-up, escept it's not always spoken about to use the decoy which makes this particular strategy very, VERY easy. Even eaiser is a good thing if you want to farm a lot of credits in a small amount of time.
And YES, farming/grnding is not the most fun way to play, but for those getting used to Gold or anyone trying to get a particluar character card or weapon so they can start having the kind of more open fun they want with Gold modes this is a very decent way to rack up those credits to offer that kind of freedom.
Also, this gets pretty dull pretty fast if it's all you do. It's really meant to show-off the beauety of the Decoy power for anyone who's not sure of how to use it, and how it can be effecitvely used to funnel enemies to where you want them to be. It works on various spots on every single map verus every enemy. Geth are a great learning point as you can hunker down in one position to learn and they don't have grenede to force you to move as often as the other two enemy types. For more of a challenge use the Decoy tank method on other maps against Cerberus and Reapers, and move your position as you need to.

Easy Mode Gold Run - Firebase White with Geth. 20-25 mins top.
Now, I know many of you will know this or similar tactics, but I've played a lot over the past few days with players who found this new. I figured I'd share it as it's been 100% successful when all players have listened and stayed for the duration.
I chose Geth for three reasons:
Firstly, I find their lack of grenades perfect for the ultra-defensive style of this build.
Secondly, I find their special enemies much easier to deal with.
And, lastly, the build is built around an engineer with tech powers that mess Geth up good. And as an inifiltator is a key component, both Quarian and Salarian types offer up very nice anti-synthetic power options.
For general play: please try to use a microphone. At the very least have one person with a mic designated as "leader" who can call out and guide when needed.
Also: try to play with people you know as they're much more likely to listen to the tactic(s). It's still doable if you have a Krogan Soldier going beserk, but it'll take longer which is completely against the enitre point of the set-up. You're mus less likely to get leechers this way, too.
There are builds out there that can do this kind of thing with 2 people spamming the same abilities over and over, but this build is for those of us who like playing in full teams but still keeping an edge against Gold mode mobs while keeping the completion time as low as possible.
Our record so far was just under 20 minutes, I'm sure many of you will be able to break that easily.
Really simple tactic. All you need for this are two things:
1. Salarian Engineer with Decoy
2. Infiltrator to run possible data objectives.
The other two slots can be made up of anything you want, have some fun instead of running the usual high powered builds. It'll be faster if you take a couple of adepts or infiltators, sure, but this can be done over and over with any class in under 25 minutes.

Map of set-up and placement - Firebase: Wite - 'Interior':

Legend:
Circles = defensive positions, 2 players to each.
Star = Decoy placement.
Green Boxes = Ammo crates
Arrows = Enemy approach
-
Firstly, let's consider the landing pad as the south most part of the map.
Most players run for the area just north of the Landing pad and stand around the ammo box there. This is one of the weakest defensive positions on the map as it has too many enemy spawns and areas of access surrounding it. The ladder up is a paticular problem, and any enemies spanwing on the Launding pad itself have a clear shot at anyone sticking their heads up.
The best place to hold is the inside area called 'Interior'. It's the section at the North West of the map inside the building with the 2 L shaped desks opposite each other. This area is such a strong defensive position as enemies do not spawn behind it, letting you funnel enemies into a crossfire from two points of entry, and it gives you accesss to 3 very easily reachable ammo crates.
Not only this, but by placing the decoy in the correct position it prevents the enemy from flanking around the back.
Looking at the map I drew above, you'll want two members to take position in each of the yellow circles. It's recommended your most accurate players go to the front (bottom circle), while the Engi stays at the back (top cricle) as he needs to remain alive and keep that decoy up constantly.
Spawn the decoy in the red star. This will draw enemies directly towards it from the staircase and from the outside area. The enemies coming from the outside area will be filed directly passed the two team-members crouched behind the lower desk, and will present dozens of grab opportunites per match. Not only fun, but instant kills are great (you're invulnerable during the grab animation, too!).
Tactics? Just keep that decoy up and kill everything that moves into the crossfire.
How to handle the three objectives:
1. High Priority Personnel.
Let them come to you. They'll make it down to the killzone with plenty of time to spare. The only enemies that can be tricky when selected as targets are Rocket geth who take up defensive positions just outside of your line of sight. If this happens, get the infiltrator to hunt them down or stagger them out by hitting with a power.
If this is the very last objective then use any missles to quickly take down Primes if their selected as the targets.
2. Data Terminals
Very simple. Set up the Decoy and give it a few seconds for the enemies to latch on to it's position, then send your Infiltrator out to activate all four terminals. Even if there's one close to you, consentrate on enemy fire while the Infiltrator makes their run.
3. Data Download
Easily the Objective that can give you the most hassle, especially when it spawns at the position at the top of the ladder just north of the launchpad.
Wherever it spawns, move to it quickly as a team. Use missiles to clear any massive groups en route, or any Primes in your way, and if you get to the terminal and the area is swamed then missle the place to clear it before you hunker down. Many players these days will be carying 3-4 missles at least, so while you should consider using them intelligently, don't be scared to use them if it's going to get an Objective done faster (remember, objectives earn credits which is what we're after!).
Try to keep all four of you in the download area, and spawn the decoy just outside of it so the enemies don't bunch up too close to you.
Once the download is complete, move back to the Interior room and retake your positions.

General tips:
1. The most important thing to remember is that persoal score means NOTHING. There are no extra credits for highest player, the goal here is to win, and win as quickly as you can so you can win some more!
2. Put your two most deadly players at the most southern desk, and the Engineer and the remaining player at the North most. The southern positon will offer up the most kills based on a wider viewing angle of incoming enemies, and will present dozens of grab opportunites against Pyros and Hunters.
3. If you have missles, ues them! Try to save them for when you really need them, but remember this is about winning as quickly as possible so sometimes clearing a group of two Primes and a few pyros in an ealier stage is a good idea, especially if you're lucky enough to have 3 or more missles (I have 4, and I always use the first two early on to keep things moving quickly).
4. Revive quickly, esepcially if your engineer drops. The decoy is essential to keeping this an easy run. I've made 12 sucessful runs today, we lost twice and both times it was because our Engineer left. It's doable without, sure, but it's a lot more difficult as the enemy swarm in different directions instead of beeing funneled into the crossfire.
5. The back position at the north most desks where the engineer will sit is the least exciting as it offers the narrowest angle to spot incoming enemies, but it's essential toward the latter stages to keep the crossfire going when the decoy starts getting swarmed. By all means, pop out and around to get a bead on mobs if you think you won't put the team at risk, and you can always take it turns to tank and swich up positions between waves/matches.
6. VERY occasionally a Geth or two will slip around to the back and flank you, just make sure your Engi and their partner keep an eye on your flank. I've not seen more than one Geth sneak around back at any one time, and it's rare they do with the decoy drawing aggro.
7. Keep an eye on the Primes spawning their trurrets and drone behind you. Obvious why this is a bad thing.
8. If you are using this method to farm over and over for as many credits as you need/desire, then remember it's best to suicide at wave 10 and start over to maximise efficiency. Only go for full extraction if one of your members needs the XP boost (or if you enjoy it, of course!).

There's really not much else to it. The decoy funnels the enemies directly into the crossfire.
Tech powers are very effecive against Geth, so consider that. It's not difficult at all to run any build you like, as long as you keep the mobs tanked with the decoy.
Feel free to offer up any advice yo uthink I've missed. And enjoy!
I'll try to get some videos up soon for anyone who'd like to see, and if anyone's interested in joining us for Gold runs, my Origin ID is the same as my forum name.
Hold the line!
