Yep. Basically it is possible to get 4000plus in the game only playing single player (so 8000 found) as he's done it.
I read a couple of things into it:
The implication is that they are no going to change anything (i asked directly and was ignored). Therefore, so you either have to do it perfect (as deemed by bioware) or get multiplayer.
I said this to Abram and that I was disappointed. As I feel I've been treated as second class and it wouldn't be my game anymore.
I was very polite. Though I expect I'll get nothing further.

Well I've asked if he (Abram or other bioware people) could release his war asset total / list which equates to 8000 / 10000 or 4000 / 5000 with the readiness / galaxy at war penalty. It might not go anywhere but if they do, then it's a challenge to match or there's a hiccup which can be patched. It has happened with me3, developers have admitted errors have crept in with dialogue and the face importing issue. Mistakes happen and we live in the Internet age so it's easy to sort. Not hopeful, but it's worth a try.

It's not possible. Period. You cannot get 4000 or higher, even with the current From Ashes DLC.
I got 99% of the war assets. I had a perfect save from ME1 throught to ME2.
I mostly play paragon, but I made some renegade decisions that netted me more points in the end.
YOU CANNOT GET 4000 EMS OR HIGHER WITH SINGLEPLAYER ONLY.
Doesn't matter what you do. It doesn't matter what choices you make in all 3 games.
It's simply not possible.
As has been mentioned... people have dived into the game code that we currently have access to, and it's not possible. That many war assets DO NOT EXIST.
You HAVE to play MP or download the iOS apps to get the 'Breath' destroy ending.
If anyone at Bioware or EA is saying otherwise, there are only two options.
They are either lying and trolling us on purpose, which I actually have a hard time believing (so no need to ban me for mentioning it, thanks)
OR they are somehow playing a different build of the game than we are.
Maybe more was cut from the game when it went gold than they realize, or they are playing with DLC that we don't have yet.
Fact of the matter is that it's not possible. At all. End of discussion.
Why they refuse to admit that this is true FOR THE GAME WE GOT, is beyond me.
If people are really sending them saved files and details list of war assets, why can't they see that there is something wrong.
Hell, the sticky from Jarret Lee is STILL up saying that there is MORE than enough war assets in single player to get the 'best' ending.
Some people have thought that meant just the 'green' synthesis ending, but now we have confirmation from other EA/BIoware employees that they do infact mean the 'breath' destroy ending, which requires a minimum of 8000 war assets (thus 4000 EMS) from SP alone.
This does not jive. This is not the game we bought. This is not what we are playing.
Code doesn't lie. Our experiences do not lie.
So I will respect the EA/Bioware employees and not call them liars.... but PLEASE, extend US the same courtesy. We are intelligent and many of us are huge fans of Bioware and the Mass Effect franchise.
But we are telling you without any possible doubt that THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE.
Please listen. Please.

except that you're wrong. I just double checked. Without using multiplayer OR hacking/changing code etc, just by playing the game, I have an EMS of 6779. This is before the IM's base because it rewinds you back to there after the ending.... My War assets are at 7290 (because I haven't done the IM's base yet after it rewound, so...) and my readiness rating at 93%.
so no, you can get above 4k, I did without mp.

Does FB refer to facebook? Is there some facebook app or some other 'galaxy at war' avenue that improves galactic readiness that I'm not aware of because I only know of Infiltrator, Datapad and Multiplayer.
P.S. like most people here who know the difference between TWA and EMS I also have found it is impossible to break even at least 3,800 EMS at 50% galactic readiness which is what you get if you only play singleplayer. (again I also did the math = what I got versus what I didn't get that was available and not mutually exclusive with other war assets) Being constantly ignored and/or told we're wrong without explanation despite all evidence to the contrary is, to put it mildly, a little frustrating.

Your EMS is your total assets * your readiness rating, so your EMS is directly affected by MP even if you don't promote people.
