Finished Mass Effect 3 last night. Here's how I feel.

The main concerns are.
- Lack of closure: With the Relays destroyed it is impossible for the armies to get off Earth. Our choices with the genophage, and the quarian/geth war mean nothing if those factions never get to return home. The Normandy crash landing on the jungle planet also makes no sense for multiple reasons. The main issue is that Joker abandoned the fight for no real reason. He just got up, and left which is out of character for Joker.
- Plot holes: A destroyed Relay is supposed to destroy the system it is in. It doesn't make sense how destroying the Relays can bring peace. Saying that this explosion is different doesn't make sense. If a nuclear bomb goes off, it doesn't matter what triggered the explosion. The explosion is releasing all of the energy that was trapped inside of it, and that energy being released is what causes the destruction. The Mass Relays were shown to be releasing energy so it directly contradicts the Arrival DLC. It wasn't a different type of explosion. A different type of explosion wouldn't have released any energy at all, because that's what's dangerous. It was a retcon.
- Hologram kid/Star Child/Destroyer of Narrative Coherence: His character not only destroys whatever emotional pull the kid on Earth might have had, but it is extremely goofy and childish. His very existence makes the plot of Mass Effect 1 meaningless. The fact that a small child is telling me he's god is laughable. Seriously, it was impossible for me to take that kid seriously.
- No epilogue: We didn't see the consequences of our choices.
Mind you, there were other things wrong with Mass Effect 3 in terms of storytelling and consequences for out choices.
- Rachni Queen
- Romances with either Thane or Jacob
- Romances with Mirana, or Jack
- The fact that war assets have literally no visual effect. I don't see my war assets in action
- The entire Earth sequence both beginning and end.
- The Mars mission
- Every single scene with Kai Leng
- Arguably everything after Thessia
- The weak cameos for Mass Effect 2 squad members
- Etc.
The ending is just distracting people from everything else that negated our choices, or was just cheesy.
Still, I could have lived with all of that if there was a satisfying ending waiting for me.

Whatever you do for the love of god don't touch TOR.
What does TOR have to do with how bad Mass Effect's endings were? I admit that I'm not crazy about what they did with Revan, but it does not even approach the Mass Effect endings in terms of inconsistency. To the OP, if you loved KOTOR as I did, there's a very good chance that you'd like TOR as well.

And then the realization of betrayal of trust from a company that you believed would do right by you and the story of your Shepard, and the Galaxy you helped shape.
Then the anger that you're this torn up about a stupid video game.

It really feels that one of the central themes, "choice", was taken away.
Bioware/EA marketing slogan, "take earth back" seems a bold lie since no matter what you do, earth gets fragged as well as the rest of the galaxy and your crew being stranded permanently.

And you aren't alone. I felt the same way. I avoided all talk about ME3 before I bought and finished it. The ending was a total sucker punch. I've never felt that much depression and despair from a piece of literature or media in my life.

My wife has started saying, "You're reading about Mass Effect AGAIN?" The disappointment is dug in like a tick.

For reminding me that it is without arrogance or impertinence that we demand a better ending.
For reminding me that Shepard deserves a better ending.
For reminding me why I hold the line.
