I also took my time playing mass effect 3. Specifically a 5 day break after rannoch to reflect on all that I had accomplished and get myself ready for the end of a trilogy I held dearly.

I really enjoyed the game. The reapers were presented amazingly. The music felt special. My crew all had their cameo's. Ill never forget tali making her entrance and commenting about how it was still worth it. Ill never forget the touching conversation with liara about the time capsule or garrus atop the citadel.

I give this game a 9.5 out of 10, Im just waiting for my ending bioware

Its not too late to fix things. I also think its unfortunate so many people are skipping the game due to the bad endings. Mass effect 3 is a great game

It was a travesty of an ending. I don't really know whether it was EA or Bioware that made the decision of the endings.... Regardless of it, my friends and I are boycotting EA products. As gamers it's an insult to be sold a "beta test" under the guise of a game and then be expected to pay for DLC which will correct the problem.

I think my ex-gf said it best when she said and I quote "Whatever Bioware is doing, it better be big. They made it to the point where this DLC better bring closure, cure cancer, and bake me a goddamn pie. If it doesn't then I do believe they can't fix this."

So I ask everyone on the internet wether you're a casual or hardcore gamer to help stop this. My idea is simple... it doesn't involve violence or committing an offence. Affect their sales: Don't buy their products. If Mass Effect comes out with a DLC epilogue don't buy it. Request it becomes free to the gaming community. If we buy it, then it's an open invitation to keep doing this to us. If we don't stand for something we'll fall for everything.

If we band together, we have the chance to change not just the Video Game industry but how modern media sees gamers as a whole. We have to prove that we are people, not just a target demographic, not a source of disposable income, and certainly not a bunch of plebeians with more money than brains.

I'm a human being goddamn it! My life has value!

I want gamers to go and basically let EA and Bioware know:

I'M AS MAD AS HELL AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!!

Thank you OP, for reminding me why I'm still on these forums.

For reminding me that it is without arrogance or impertinence that we demand a better ending.

For reminding me that Shepard deserves a better ending.

For reminding me why I hold the line.

Commander Shepard never gives up. Neither should you.

Grab a banner, join the cause.
Go look up "retake mass effect" on facebook.
Do the polls you see, keep voicing your opinions on the forums.

We will hold the line.

I felt the same way, for the same reasons.
And then the realization of betrayal of trust from a company that you believed would do right by you and the story of your Shepard, and the Galaxy you helped shape.
Then the anger that you're this torn up about a stupid video game.

This. Especially the part I put in bold. How can a game have such a deep impact on my emotions??? The endings are what brought me to the forums. It does help to know that others are feeling the same way.

My deepest condolences buddy. Seriously.
Your thoughts about Bioware and their previous games pretty much mirrors mine.
Even now I haven't touched ME3 multiplayer because the franchise really didn't need that, but I simply disregarded it because I was too intent on the singleplayer aspect.
I went through ME1&2 numerous times, I relished every moment and like you I was abuzz with the anticipation of what all of those hard decisions amounted too.
What you said here resonated with me the most.

"And then I got...that. That utter let down that was the realization that no matter what I did, how hard I tried to find everything, do everything, make all the right choices...that nothing I did was going to affect the end of the game. After ME1 and ME2, I felt great. I was the conquering hero who'd just pulled off the impossible and came out alive. And here...the climax of all those years and all that emotion...and it's a depressing, “Sorry, no happy ending for you, and you can't do anything about it!” The bottom of my stomach just dropped out. I wanted to vomit."

My stomach dropped out too, my jaw slackened and my hands slipped from the keyboard.
When Bioware and Casey Hudson wanted the fans to have a particular reaction to the franchise finale, was it the intention for something inside of the fans to die inside?

Ha ha...Network for the win.  But yeah OP, the ending broke my soul as well.  If it wasn't for the Indoctrination Theory...

I think whoever said it first, said it best. "Mass Effect 3 is a game that you can't win." Therefore, the usual feelings of victory and resolution just aren't there, which just leads to disappointment all around. The good thing is, they can "fix" this, if they want to.

And another one bites the line!

Welcome Creylin. I felt exactly the same as you did when I finished the game. I'd like to tell you that it gets better with time but two weeks later, still nothing changed for me. My personal last hope is PAX tomorrow. If that doesn't go well, I am afraid I'll say good bye to my favorite franchise and a story that I felt was a companion to me for the last 5 years. I really hope it doesn't come to that.
