First time through It was by far my favorite part of the game... After the 2cnd time through I dread doing back there. I always play up to the the fade then save/quit. Take a long break then come back later and get through it as fast as possible. After that I can play like an addict again.

First time I kinda hated it now it's one of my favourites, specially going right after Lothering for the bonuses.. hehe... And I can do it pretty fast too and Sloth is really easy if you know how to play him with the morphs you can use there.

Truth be told, the Fade causes nausea to specific players due to how the background brings in a sensation of everything twirling around. It's a great dungeon and rewards well but not a lot of people will come out and say it's the best experience.

For me, a very well made dungeon with great rewards that makes it every worth it to explore and spend time there.

Just turn off Frame-Buffer on video options... Fade even looks good then! Oh, and don't forget to turn it on after too! =)

At first I hated it. I would dread having to go back and try to finish it. But now I don't find it to be too bad. I wouldn't say that's I love it but, overall it's not bad.

I can't stand the fade section really. I nearly quit the whole game on my first go around trotting through islands... I have found it easier to fight sloth by the way if you change forms each time he does...

actually i'm hoping for a "finish fade" mod that will just have a buttonpress and give you all exp and stat upgrades, then set the quest flags to FINISHED

First time was great.
Second time was decent.
Now I can't stand it.

I liked it. First time, it was a bit long for me, but funny. Second time I really enjoyed it better .

I liked getting those points but I really enjoyed shapeshifting into different things, plus the second time, I did it faster so it was great.

There won't be a third time for sure. As much as I enjoyed this game, no surprise at all is not really funny.I'm waiting for new DLCs and mostly for an extension...in 2 years *sigh*

I really dislike doing the fade, I find it long and boreing, plus time comsuming. I try to do this part as soon as possible , just so i can get back to the rest of the game, which is quite fun. Im on my fith playthro.

Why stop there? Why not wait until there is a "Finish game" mod which sets all of the games quest flags to finish so you don't have to do anything at all. ;)

The Fade is so easy and a breeze to do.

Just in case anyone wants to know the quickest way to do it.

Weisshaupt
Raw Fade - go get Mouse Form
Darkspawn Invasion - go get Spirit Form and the attribute points you can get along the way
Raw Fade - kill Yevena and get attribute points around the Raw Fade areas
Weisshaupt Fortress - get willpower attribute point
Burning Tower - go get Burning Man form
Mage Asunder - go get Golem form and slay Slavren and get all the attribute points from that nightmare
Burning Tower - slay Rhagnos and get any remaining attribute points you didn't get before
Rescue 1st Party Member
Templar Nightmare - slay Vereveel and get attribute points
Rescue 2nd Party Member
Darkspawn Invasion - slay Uthkiel the Destroyer and get remaining attribute points
Rescue 3rd Party Member
Inner Sanctum - slaughter Sloth

That I believe is the fastest way to do it. Course, you could just leave rescuing the party members till just before fighting sloth, I just prefer to do it this way.

But basically "Broken Tower" imho is shorter than "A Paragon of her Kind" so I find it weird why people rant more about the Fade than they do the aforementioned dungeon crawl. I personally don't mind either though there are times when either 'Paragon' or the 'Redcliffe' quests seem like a drag.

I personally love Fade because get to stomp around as a proper golem (sorry shale, wasn't your fault that nasty fool trimmed you down)

I would say the Mage Tower is the best part of the game. Its a high challenge, its fun to be able to shapeshift, and the stat bonusses are of course great too.

I rather dislike the Fade. No party interaction and the annoying blurry effect that makes my eyes go "BLUARGH!" after a bit.

Wouldn't mind skipping the stat bonuses if I could skip the whole thing :-/

Someone earlier said they thought it was enough stat +1's for a level. No, it's enough +1's for 7 levels. That's a bit too many to miss. I wonder how well a character would do minus 21 stat points later in the game? I scrapped my first character, who only found 12 in the fade, which is just over half. She just couldn't get the job done.

I've only played this game once and I think the Circle Tower is the best quest of the game and the Fade the most enjoyable part of this quest. Reading some of these comments though, make me realize I might just dislike the Fade part if I have to do it again. Then again, I loved being a golem! ^^

I didn't mind it my first time through (even with a subpar archer, which was rather hard solo).

But I dread doing it for my other playthroughs, more than the Deep Roads.

Thats the part I hate most actually.
At first playtrough it was interesting but after that its amazingly boring.

I agree 100%. I always do the tower first just to get it done. ugh

I think it's because so much is alone. My archers are a bit (tons more?) wimpy compared to anything else. I should just stick to mages and solo the game yes? Naw...

It's sad because the REST of the circle tower is such fun. Then you get stuck in fade. Bleh.

They could have at least made it seem as if we were still in the circle tower and not trapped in the Fade.

What would have been nice (best?) after completing one part you could visit a nightmare and free an ally and they would stay with you, do another part free another companion trapped, etc. Ah well.

I dread that part of the game. It's actually turning me off from a third playthrough because I just really don't want to do that again.

I enjoyed the Fade very much during my first play, and the second, and the third, each time loosing its appeal a bit more. Yes, the joy with the Fade degrades on sub-sequent plays, but so with the Game too, it is very natural. The Fade is a part of the game which is so different from the other parts that it breaks the monotony. For me, this is something to be grateful.
