same with me I hated it should not of even been put in the gameRogue-Element wrote...
Love... it's the only part in the game I dislike, it just seems so tedious. I usually do the mage tower first just to get it over with.

And the Fade forms let me use my squad more effectively/spec them better after using the abilities.

Also I hope the Devs add a bit more variety to the Fade. Its the realm of dreams so surely it should be more surreal. Like with forests and lush areas right next to burning pits that look like hell. Shapeshifting was also brilliant and how I wished the shapeshifting specialisation had been.

I think my problem with the Fade is that I feel sort of edgy when I'm next to those insta-kill fires. If you could simply run through them and take like a fireball's worth of damage, then that should be another option.
You can as the Burnign Man. Immune to all fire dmg. You can take direct fireball ball hits with no effect to health.

There is now a mod for skipping most of the fade while still getting everything you'd get from a complete walk-through... http://dragonagenexu...ile.php?id=816. I used it for my fourth character. I just couldn't take the headache I get from the weird visual effects. I respect that they tried to do something different with it, and the shape changing WAS interesting. But after a while it becomes just another dungeon crawl with fuzzy edges and no one to interact with except a depressing mage.
Skip the Fade FTW!!! Now if only there can take me from my origin directly to Lothering.

Ugh, as much as I hate the Fade, I could never download Skip the Fade. Next thing you know there will be a Skip Game Up to Landsmeet. I'll admit that I've cheated to get through the game because I wanted to see specific things, but skipping an entire part of the game every time seems rude. They probably spent months creating it, I might as well spend an hour playing it.
Well, I did play it through 4 times before downloading the mod. And I do understand that it's not the way the game was intended to be played. But I got the to the point where I couldn't bear the thought of another play-through if it meant going through the Fade section again. This way I get to see all the other areas that the developers spent months working on a few more times.

I loved all the Fade sections. Nice change of pace from the rest of the game and I hope there are more fade sections in future games. It sorta chills my blood that it doesn't seem to have gotten a good reception. I hope they do not decide to entirely do away with fade adventures in future games.
I'm worried about that too. I quite liked the Mako sections in ME1 and 1000000 complaints later from all and sundry they get taken out and replaced by a collection of sidequests (some ok, some pretty poor, some downright appalling).

The only thing stopping me from making another character right now is the entire Orzammar quest chain. Hated every second of it.

I much prefer the Fade in Awakening, it's got a great storyline.
