I've always wondered whether Asari find non humanoid non intelligent creatures, aka animals, sexually attractive and whether or not they'd be able to produce children with them.

Also, do Asari have scales? Looking closely at them it sort of seems like they do.

I have wondered if there was a jelly-like fluid under their head tentacles.

Don't ask me why I thought of that.....

The Asari seem to be slightly reptillian. They have scales on there head and if Laria is a accurate display of the average Asari they also have scale like skin over most of their bodies. Having mammary glands is interesting with that in mind.

As momogendered race their need for a partner is also strange.

Do pictures have biotic mind tricks?  Stupid question.

I take it you missed that part in ME2?

I did not miss it.  If I have a medical question, I would go to a doctor, not some random drunk of unknown intellect sitting at a bar.  It was put into the game for humor, and despite that each race pointed out what they found attractive about the asari, and every feature they pointed out was a feature that the asari actually have and that everyone can see.

There are pictures of asari, there are medical texts on asari, human and other alien doctors have to perform surgeries on asari, pictures dont have biotic powers, and doctors cant operate on someone if what they are seeing isnt real.  There is far too much hard evidence that what we see is what they actually look like to jump to the conclusion that a trio of drunks have figured out a mystery that the rest of the galaxies greatest minds could never unveil in thousands of years of contact with the race.

I never saw them as scales, just larger skin cells that give it a more textured look. Just speculating, though.

Also, can asari transmit information clearly via their mind melding? Not just memories, but technical data?

I admit the concept has a lot of holes (though I was only half serious to begin with.) Keep in mind though that no one in-universe seems to know what Quarians look like, or how extensively they rely on cybernetics. How much sense does that make?

Liara doesn't have eyebrows, they're just facial markings that look like eyebrows. Same with Matriarch Benezia. ^_^

Probably blue...

Lol.  I meant biologically or anatomically, but considering Asari are ment for fan-service, probably just like us, only blue.

Skin cells that make up our skin are no bigger then the cells that make up scales on lizards. Laria could have some very dry skin though.

A lot of things in sci-fi can be overlooked by people when they are happy with the overall product, of course after the current ending if they did come out and say asari are giant blue asexual blobs that can take on any shape they want I would not be surprised.

Slightly off topic, but the odds of alien races sharing at least some characteristics of humans is actually pretty high. When scientist look for planets that they believe are capable of supporting life, they look for planets similar to earth. If the planet is similar to earth it stands to reason that the evolution of life would follow somewhat similar patterns. Thats why I personally find races like the Turians and Krogans to not be very far fetched.

do they have functional vaginas... like i figure theyd need something to birth little blue babies but why is sex with a man on the table for a species with no males.. is it like a back door entry thing or does shepard just force himself in through delicate things O.o really, just, i feel this should have bin explained by mordin or chakwas...

and while we are on it, do turians have penises??? like, is that a thing, or quarians, is a quarian vagina a vagina.. and how do quarians have sex while still in their suits(since thye apparently sink them)... i feel the romance side of this equation should have been better thought out and possibly explained, because while i personally dont care, im almost certian that is the first question that would leave my shepards mouth when faced with alien sex O.o

The quarian-sex-suit-thingy is explained in the novels. On their ships there are permanently desinfected rooms for 'private time', showering and toillets. (would be kind of gross if they linked suits just to have one suit overflow poop into the other suit, wouldn't it?)

They get their scalps straightened, apparently. That's about the closest thing.

Ok i'm no scientist so i will say what my question in random 'morontalk'.
If Asari live 1000 years it must mean their bodies regenerate way better and longer than other shorterlived species. Did they actually never think about looking into that process to give other races a longer lifespan?

If I had to guess I would say they stop gorwing on their own and getting them cut would be painfull.

The tentacles appear to have skin on them. I'd assume having them cut would be similar to having your nose cut off.

Not sure about haircuts, but there are surgical procedures to make their tentacles symetric, because nobody likes tentacles that look off or are sideways.

As they lack any form of hair, it is safe to assume that their skin is somewhat leathery.

Regarding their erogenous zones, in light of their form of procreation, I think that they lack the things human females normal have, but instead can make their nervous system more sensitive or it automatically becomes more sensitive when they are stimulated appropriately - but that's just for the physical part. As the stimulus is read and interpreted by the brain and the Asari are quite empathic and telepathic as a species, they can probably bypass the physical stimulus and experience the feelings just over stimulating their partner (physical if not Asari and mental if Asari), by linking with their mind.

And my thoughts on the Asari lifespan is, that in the older days, several 1000 years ago, before they discovered space flight and modern medicine, they had likely a lifespan of "only" 400 to 500 years.

Having a partner as monogendered race is not strange, it just means, that every Asari is capable of having children. This does not rule out the need for genetic diversity. On Earth many one-celled organisms don't need a partner to perform mitosis, but they can procreate using a partner. The offspring then has characteristics of both partners and can be better suited for life under certain circumstances.
