So...tonight i had the pleasure to play a few games with some of the worst players/Leechers ever on gold. Honestly i am tired of them and having to revive them at least 8-10 times per round.

I am sure most of you have dealt with leechers, the parasites of ME3 that know they are useless but stick around in hopes of getting almost free XP/credits.

So i call all players plagued by the leech problem to post the leechers ID's here, and hopefully we can avoid them in the future.
  • MooseWithAGun  - Met this...whatever you call it on a gold match. He played as a krogan, was useless and we spend more time reviving him than fighting geth. We won in the end, but the score difference between #3 and him was more than 80.000
  • EleteFLAME- Quarian Engineer w/ a Black Widow and Locust.
Played for the first 2 rounds, and didn't really do ****.

Didn't play for the rest of the game and sat in one spot.....dead.

while the idea seems good, there's too much potential for abuse and trolling.

As such, the forum rules disallow "calling out" of particular players.

it is not an attack or meant to be offensive towards other players. I am only trying to prevent others from going through the same awful gaming experience that i have gone through tonight and the nights before.

Yes i know you can say "why not leave the game". most of the times you observe these things mid game or closer to the end. Would you walk away and lose the credits/xp that you are awarded even if you lose? I didn't think so either...

So you can state the fact that "Chakwas Norris kicks ass as turian engineer", but you can't state that "Sjrv sucks as asari infiltrator and can't hit an atlas with a sniper rifle so he went afk for 17 rounds", because it's negative? What? Someone might get sad or offended? ;( If someone stays afk for the whole game, why is it bad to warn the other players?

No, even the idea is awful and the reasoning behind them is plain stupid, stop wasting time reviving someone you know ain't gonna contribute just so you can whine about it on the forum.

Witch-hunting in itself is pointless as well since you don't know anything about the other player other than what you want to know. It may have been an isolated incident on a personal level, rl can come up, shit happens, he may have had to take his mom to the hospital.. The guy you call a derp today may save your ass tomorrow.

You'd think at some point you'd catch on and stop reviving him.

Huh, I actually couldn't find it specifically mentioned in the rules, wanted to cite the specific language. Closest I found was " posts made that are discourteous and/or hostile to other Community members or the discussion at hand will be treated as Spam and deleted without warning."

But yeah, the idea of "man this guy is a pain to play with, I'll warn others about him" might sound good at first glance, but it's really not. If someone's consistently afk/trolling/etc they'll build their own reputation, and any forum list is just asking for abuse by people putting names on there "he disagreed with me in another thread, I'll get him blacklisted."

[*]From your story it looks like he actually played, even if he was bad. That is not a leecher, that is a bad player, are you Gold pr0s going to start to blacklist everyone that doesn't adhere to your standards?

This is why witch hunts are no bueno on the forums.

Escocido...... if you call running straight into the mob not using your powers/no shooting, just waiting to be killed "bad play" then i don't know what to say...or being on the other corner of the map while the rest is in one part....

I would not say anything if someone does his best, but his weapon/class doesn't help. I for one i am horrible with vanguards and if i play as one i will most likely be owned. But i will damn sure do my best to hellp the team out. The guy was not even trying to do anything except getting himself killed....

Maybe you are right, but before you start posting names you should think: are you going to always be right? Is everyone who posts names always going to be right, considering that this is based on a subjective opinion?

This can't go somewhere nice, and all this energy should be directed at getting autokicks for real leechers.

Well that guy was probably a leecher, but witch hunts are still generally not allowed around here.

Angry mobs generally do more harm than good. Angry internet mobs do even less good than the regular kind of angry mob.

I can't stand leechers, but this thread is a really bad idea. The potential for abuse alone is bad enough, but it looks like it's already (predictably) veering toward "shaming unskilled players", which is a worse problem.

Dude what are you talking about, what abuse for chrissake, this whole forum has a great potential for "abuse". There are tons of ragers and haters and stupid punks here that are talking from their behind. That doesn't mean Bioware should scrap it though.

This is actually a great idea and it's absolutely NOT against the forum rules. Sure, you can't say "XY's mom is so fat...." and so on, but it's totaly ok to point out "XY is a friggin' leacher and if you see him in a lobby, kick him out".

And yes, if someone says "don't play with XY, he can't hit sh*t and thinks Eviscerator is the best shotgun", then that someone should be shamed and deleted. But to bring attention to jerks and a-holes is fine in my book.

"since you don't know anything about the other player other than what you want to know."

Someone buy this man a damn beer, because that is an insightful and logical point.
