At the end of the day whether you like or dislike the ending is a subjective thing, there is no right or wrong answer its personal taste

This board howvever tends to deal in black and white, right and wrong

No. That has nothing to do with this board. Humanity in general attempts to deal in black and white. It's easier to consider an opposing view as "wrong" rather than actually have to consider the possibility and discuss it. It's also safer. We are a people who are for the most part afraid of critcism. But the critcism is invalidated if the other persons opinion is outright "wrong"

As the old saying goes: "I know what to do with black and white, but grey? "

How much can EA pay me for posting something good about the ending?

Very true, OP!

But I'm not going to sit back while the people who like the ending call me an idiot for not "understanding" it because it's too "deep" for me and only those with pieces of paper saying they're literarary/fine arts majors get it.

Funny thing, there's hostilities on both sides - and what I've seen mostly come from the people who like the ending. They generally can't just say "I liked it". They have to say the people who want something more are whiny brats, they have to say we didn't understand it because we're too stupid.

Both groups have people that insult eachother. It's not just the ''retakers'' that can't be civil.

Not sure if it's been pointed out yet OP, but there is an equal amount of people on both sides mocking each other for liking/hating the ending. Don't let the minority of the groups ruin the majority because that happens to often. From what I've seen there have been plenty of civil people on both side but the few acting like children make everyone look bad.

Everyone mocks everyone at some point. Even the pro-ending people mock the anti-ending people at times. I'm not saying I endorse that kind of thing, but that's the world we live in.

Those who are getting mocked are getting mocked because they have poor defensive arguments for why like liked something. They are getting singled out for having a poor opinion that they cannot defend rather than, "just because."

The thing with pro-enders getting mocked is often because they show ignorance and a complete lack of knowledge for what the retakers are mad about, or show some other flimsy argument.

I'm okay with the ending myself.

I'm okay with people who don't like it.

Everybody is allowed their own opinion, it just happens most people share the same one regarding the conclusion to Mass Effect 3.

It can be the best game in the world that wins tons of awards and loved by the majority of the planet, and somebody will always have an issue. That's internet forum life for ya.

People dont like the ending
People complain
Pople complain at the people that complained
People that complained complain at the people that complained about their complaining.

And this thread adds one more to that step.
LETS CONTINUE THIS CYCLE FOR EVER!

THE CYCLE!

There are often two more more sides to any argument, so I find it sort of pointless to judge any of them.  To do so would simply diminish other people's views on your own perspective.

The majority loathes the ending of Mass Effect 3. I'm fine with that, after all, there has to be a consensus. What angers me is that these people are down to mocking those who are fine with the ending. No internet community should tolerate such attitudes.

What?! if I had a penny for every time someone was called a whiener or an "entilted" brat or something of the like for standing up against that failed abortion of an ending I'd be up there with EA.

And there is no argument to change the many faults with the ending, if someone told you that you're stupid for thinking the ending was fine that you most likely were being stubborn, most of the endings faults are not even debatable.

The problem is most people who like the ending never give a proper explanation as to why they think the ending is so great. I'm fine with those people getting mocked.

The problem is that most people who don't like the ending give retarded silly explanations why they did not.

I personally liked the ending, because:

1. It concluded the trilogy. Shepard died and his death was a meaningful sacrifice.
2. Nice graphics. I like colours.
3. Plotholes of this magnitude (the ones you end likers list are usually not serious, you just think they are) do not bother me. If they did, I would not have played anything after Shepard suffocated/was incinerated/was pulverized then the remains (hahaha, sure...) magically restored in the intro of ME2.
And to be honest, very few stories do not have plotholes. People just differ in sensitivity and comprehension, AND the capability to rise above the. Some people mistake artistic license for plotholes. I read a lot, so I have no such problem.
4. Does not give silly explanations and leaves room for speculation concerning the origin of all things.
5... I will not list any more because the topic is not worth it

List your reasons and I will refute them all (well, at least most of them). Or on second thought, don't list them. They are all over the forum that you and your buddies are ruining. And most are not worth commenting on.

Could the endings have been better? Probably yes.

Is the ending of a video game worth all this fuss? Probably not.

Is the forum overrun by idiots and whiners? Undeniably yes.

Your a pure bioware boot licker if i ever seen one.

There are always people who are looking for a fight, no matter the reason. I've been following this affair very closely, and you can believe that there's been a fair share of condescending posts and trolling on both sides. However, it has also been the exception. Considering that over 50,000 people voted against the ending, if every single one of them acted like you describe it, this forum would turn into an apocalypse.

Don't judge the whole of the community by the worst on both sides of the argument. And saying that you're disgusted by the whole community certainly doesn't help in any way, sorry.

The following is realy not meant to insult. Truly it ain't.

50.000? Considering the sales statistics (reliable source needed) that is not much, is it? And it is safe to presume that the rest of the ME3 owners/players either do not think the issue is worth commenting on or liked the ending (with a small minority that hasn't found the forum yet), right?

Would it not be easier for you guys to just make peace and not post anti-end comments in EVERY effin' unrelated thread (not talking about this here one)? Cause it does sort of feel like apocalypse

Nobody wants to see garbage pro-ending threads so no they need to keep posting hate because its better for everyone.
