Way too little, way too late. Slapping paint on dogsh*t and calling it "clarification". You know how I would clarify sh*t? As a biologist, I would slap a piece of sh*t in a test tube with an equal volume of water, stir it into a paste, stick it in a centrifuge, spin the cr@p out of it (so to speak), pull the pungent clarified solution floating on top out. THAT is clarified sh*t. Do you want to drink it?
Of course you don't. It's sh*t water.
how about you tone that Sh*t down a little? Because from the way you are posting I get the idea that you really like sh*t and coprophilia...
If all you see is Sh*t everywhere, go someplace else where it is much cleaner or start talking and posting with a tiny bit of maturty...
This is Bioware forums addressing the gaping sore that is ME3's ending. Of COURSE I see sh*t everywhere. When you are in a pig sty...what do you see? What do you smell?
I am keeping the analogies simple for the simpletons that cannot seem to grasp simple concepts: illogic cannot be "clarified" into logic. Irrationality cannot be made rational by "clarification".
Sure you can; it's a matter of perception. Some things you might not understand can become clear and make sense. Saying that everything you perceive as illogical is impossible to make clear and a paradox is fallacious.

You really need to find something better to do with your time, Justin2k. Every post I've seen from you is about trolling the people who dislike the ending.

Some points that are popping up here.
1.) They gave you what you wanted, stop whining.
-This isn't what the movement protested for. Ergo, it is NOT what we wanted. It's a start, and I thank them for that, but it reeks of pacification. From the beginning Retake has been about the ending failing at being an ending, and we feel that there are much better alternatives out there. there were giant gaping massive PLOTHOLES. There was a lack of choice. There was a lack of continuity in the storyline. There was a distinct lack of actual endingS. I could go on and on and on.
2.) Happiness is not realistic.
-Of course it is. It's called hope. It's why we are able to get up in the morning. It's where all motivation stems from. When did 'happiness' become something that we shouldn't want or expect out of life or our entertainment? You don't want happiness in your Shepard story? Fine. That's the whole point, just like everything else in the ME series, it should be gamer choice. Where down the line in fiction did a 'happy' ending start to = 'bad'?
3.) You're all just haters.
-Sweeties...you have not even SEEN what 'hating on BioWare' could be. The fact that we're HERE IN THEIR FORUM discussing this PROVES that we still care, and care very deeply. I have never said, nor SEEN ANYONE say, 'BioWare we hate you, die' I see a lot of 'BioWare, we love you, please fix this' though.
Someone give this lad/lass a cookie!

Also the fact that it's only clarity probably means we won't be saving the Normandy crew thus most of our favourite crew members are lost.................. FOREVER.

No seriously, where is the sizable fan movement suing (as in, protesting, not actual legal action) for just mere closure or clarification?
Oh, so just because not everyone romanced Thane or Jacob, or went Renegade means they aren't as important a voice as yours?
I'm sorry you think that.

Besides what is the point of this dlc as the complainers wants to change the whole ending, not expand upon it?

What is wrong with you people? Bioware has listened to your complaints, responded to them constructively and now they promise you an extended ending FREE OF CHARGE. And you're still complaining.
At least wait until you've played it before you make a judgement. If it's bad, then I'll be happy to whine with you. Bioware is trying to make this right. Now let them work in peace.
Er majority of people did not ASK for CLARIFICATION. They wanted the endings changed if this post by bioware is correct they pretty much ignored all the feedback in the ending feeback thread. If all they are doing is clarifying the ending.

Their statement sadly does not mention "alternate" endings, and instead emphasizes "clarification," "context," and "closure" for the existing ones.
Anything at this point however would be an improvement.
In addition, Bioware offering the extended cut free of charge is brave and noteworthy (because it will not be free for them to develop it). I say this even though I believe it is in Bioware's best business interest to keep their fans satisfied: would anyone purchase ME3 DLC if nothing is done about the endings? Would anyone pre-order future Bioware RPGs made by this team? I know that I sure wouldn't.
Overall I would have been more happy to hear Bioware say something to the effect that the teams' original artistic vision for the ending to the franchise was a narrative failure and needed re-doing. This would enable the series to enter the pantheon of gaming excellence.
Nevertheless, "clarification" of the existing endings may carry some small cathartic value absent this, and is therefore valuable in this smaller sense.

So are we going to have at least a couple of months of people complaining about the EE DLC before it's released then? Not content to see that you're actions are prompting BW to act, so you now don't have the patience to wait til it's available, or any information comes out about it, because at the moment we know NOTHING about the EE DLC?
Even if they did completely change the endings for those that call any attempt of clarification to be more crud on top of other crud, who's to say that the new ending will escape your critical glare, or indeed that you'll agree with how the new ending is presented. And what if, shock horror, other people who are currently against the ending as it stands, look at the new content (given that we know NOTHING at the moment about what it is) and think that the EE stuff removes any concerns and issues for them, but you still want more changes?
It's funny that your lack of faith in us mirrors the lack of faith we have in you and your Bioware overlords.
Ah, the old, Bioware drone/overlord defence *golfclap* - my question still stands, are we to assume that we'll hear nothing but complaints and jeers about something, that currently, no-one have no facts about?
It's not about lack of faith, it's about jumping to conclusions, and then proceeding to dress those conclusions up as facts and shouting them from the rooftops.
I have concerns that it will not be what everyone wants, I have dear concerns that it will not bring the closure in the way that the majority wants, but I also have the foresight to know that bi'ching about it to all and sundry till their tired with cries of lies and foul play, will not make it happen any sooner, and will certainly not make the BSN a more hospitable place than it has been for the last 4 weeks or so

Oh, very nice: They make it seem like they are giving in to out requests, while, in reality, they do nothing of the sort, giving us nothing more than a few lines of text. Yet, if we come out against this, RetakeME3 will look exactly like the impossible-to-please fanboys BiowarEA makes us out to be.
We're in check.
Pretty much this.

Wrong Ginger. We did NOT ask for just any free content. It is not OK to simply slap together a few cut scenes pasted together from the crap already littering their digital cutting room floor and call it good.
Why are there so many people who cannot use their brains? Why are there so many people who accept patently illogical, irrational stories as the exact opposite? No wonder the real world is deep in the sh*t.
Free content that simply clarifies PATENTLY ILLOGICAL NONSENSE cannot be, and IS not, a fix! You CANNOT in any way, shape, or form CLARIFY starkid and the ridiculous provably false faux "logic" that the little **** uses. You cannot. They cannot. NO ONE is capable of turning blithering nonsense into sensible. Can't be done.
Free has little to do with it. It has to be RELEVANT and free.

All I can say to that is just wow.
Personally, I didn't mind the ending and considering that this is bringing additional content to that ending, I'm more than pleased and it being free is a bonus.
