Such a sad waste of a Collector's Edition...
This.
All CE should be as big as Skyrim's, and come with a bad ass dragon inside IMO, even if there are no dragons on the game.

Way for all you people that are whining to show your true colours
For the last month many have tried to clarified that the ending "didn't make sense and was full of plot holes"
Now that this clarification ending has been announced you're still complaining even though its set to address the "plot holes"
YOU GUYS ARE CLEARLY COMPLAINING BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T LIKE THE ENDING AND WANTED IT TO BE MORE OF A CALL OF DUTY PARADE PUPPIES AND RAINBOWS ENDING.
Point...missing it.

Some points that are popping up here.
1.) They gave you what you wanted, stop whining.
-This isn't what the movement protested for. Ergo, it is NOT what we wanted. It's a start, and I thank them for that, but it reeks of pacification. From the beginning Retake has been about the ending failing at being an ending, and we feel that there are much better alternatives out there. there were giant gaping massive PLOTHOLES. There was a lack of choice. There was a lack of continuity in the storyline. There was a distinct lack of actual endingS. I could go on and on and on.
2.) Happiness is not realistic.
-Of course it is. It's called hope. It's why we are able to get up in the morning. It's where all motivation stems from. When did 'happiness' become something that we shouldn't want or expect out of life or our entertainment? You don't want happiness in your Shepard story? Fine. That's the whole point, just like everything else in the ME series, it should be gamer choice. Where down the line in fiction did a 'happy' ending start to = 'bad'?
3.) You're all just haters.
-Sweeties...you have not even SEEN what 'hating on BioWare' could be. The fact that we're HERE IN THEIR FORUM discussing this PROVES that we still care, and care very deeply. I have never said, nor SEEN ANYONE say, 'BioWare we hate you, die' I see a lot of 'BioWare, we love you, please fix this' though.

I am getting scary when I hear "artistic integrity" by BW. Or let me quote someone: "If book isn't selling well it doesn't mean that it's a masterpiece ahead of it's times. It means that it's worth jack ****." (A. Sapkowski - my translation).
So yeah, if this beautyful "artistic integrity" still means that: our chocies do not matter, we're tri-colored, previous MEs do not matter, and ending makes no sense - BW is just trying to calm fanbase down and convince us to buy future DLCs.
I hear you. I hated the endings myself.
But really with everyone complaining, really we are receiving the artistic viewpoint of BioWare, and although we have molded the our own choices ourselves, really the mold was provided by BioWare, and it's their vision, not ours.
I couldn't see them completely changing the ending, I just couldn't.

But they will release this "clarification DLC" next summer for a reason.
If they released it tomorrow and nobody liked it (I bet this is what's going to happen) they would have problems selling the other DLCs for ME3. So, they will postpone it and in the meanwhile some optimistic fans will continue to buy DLCs.
Well, I am not optimistic anymore so count me out. No more Bioware for me.

It seems easy enough for many others to create videos on why the ending is messed up pretty quick.
If there isn't to be a new ending all I really want to know is why the writers/team thought the current ending was a good way to end a great series. Or why it is even "artistic". To me it seems like a jumble of stuff hacked together to try and pull some kind of "Wow" feeling out of me but all it did was create confusion.
It doesn't make sense. And if it doesn't make sense it isn't true!

None of our choices affected the ending over all. Minor tweaks here and there depending on your EMS level sure. But they did not have the dramatic impact we were promised.
So they say get your EMS to this level and get the earth saved, destroyed, damaged, or ravaged. Mass Relays are destroyed no matter what color you choose.
Also to those of you who say that destroying the Mass Relays won't destroy all life in a solar system are wrong. Take a look at Arrival DLC the relay was destroyed and a major shockwave took out one system. So even if you saved the earth you still destroyed the Sol system and everyone in it. Big slap in the face.
No none of your choices in the 3 games had any effect on the outcome at all. In fact it didn't really effect your overall EMS either unless you did certain side missions.
Hell here is an example of not affecting your final ending. You do the Genophage mission, doesn't matter if Mordin is dead or alive, it still plays out the same way. That doesn't even affect your overall ending. You still get Red, Blue, Green. Your choices from ME1, ME2 and through ME3 don't affect squat on the ending of the game.
So yeah... frankly... I could come up with a better ending, hell many people have come up with better endings to this game and they have ranged from dark and bleak to happy.

Fair or not, all this hate for something no one has seen yet reminds me of this:
The whole issue has been rabbling from both sides, accept one is an overwelming majority, and the other is a bunch of hipsters saying "protect artistic integrity."

if they are clarifying/expanding on the ending, and you got the ending where shepard takes a breath under rubble, would it be natural to assume that is the ending they are clarifying/expanding off of seeing as it's the only one where shepard is still alive?

How exactly? IT demands a whole new series of events leading to the real ending.Chrillze wrote...
They will obviously use the IT
You really believe Bioware are gonna use cutscenes only to tell us about them, taking away choice from us just like IT does?
Yea, sure.
