They are clarifying it, not fixing it.

But i have just grown incredible amounts of cynicism when it comes to this company. So there's that.

But I'll take it as a sign that they do actually care.

So you can all stop whining and trolling the forums with Bioware hate now?
No. Expanding on the starkid nonsense, the "synthetics always turn on their creators" crap, the "my synthetics need to kill you cuz they do it nicer and better than your own synthetics would" crap, the "Shepard must die no matter what" crap, the Normandy running away as coward crap, the "Shepard's LI is running away to shag random members of the Normandy crew on Club Paradise planet" crap, etc, CANNOT BE FIXED BY EXPANDING ON IT.
EXPANDING on sh*t just gives you a BIGGER pile of sh*t.
Sh*t = Sh*t.

When or if it comes to the "I'll see" part, I'll see it on youtube and decide from there.

The ending remains the same. It's just a small effort to shut the whiners up.

About the only thing that makes me even slightly consider getting this thing is that its free. Even still, I seriously doubt I’ll waste my X-box 360’s memory for this thing or any ME3 download for that matter.
Here is an idea EA/BioWare. Redo the damn final mission and do it right this time. Give us an ending that rivals the ones in ME1 and ME2. Not some half baked Ed Wood homage. Or better yet, release the real Mass Effect 3 game we were told we were going to get.

God-child and colors are still in the game:
"Through additional cinematic sequences and epilogue scenes, the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut will give fans seeking further clarity to the ending of Mass Effect 3 deeper insights into how their personal journey concludes."
It's not a fix, it's a clarification:
"With the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut we think we have struck a good balance in delivering the answers players are looking for while maintaining the team’s artistic vision for the end of this story arc in the Mass Effect universe."
Nothing new here.
Exactly... star child and the other plot holes are still there. This is no better than the current ending.<_<
I guess that takes the wind out of the sails of the Indoctrination Theory.
It also shows that BioWare has officially lost their ability to write good stories....

It does however make me wonder, if this is announced before PAX.. what is the big announcement for ME that was supposed to be revealed at PAX?

This isn't a fix. They are simply trying to slap paint on the rusted out hulk of a game they wrecked. The ending CANNOT be fixed by expanding on it! It CANNOT. No matter what makeup you plaster on that f*cker you cannot make the illogical become logical, the irrational become rational, the retarded become not retarded. Only with religion can more handwaving over gaping ridiculous HOLES in the plot of the belief system in any way be called a "fix" or "improvement".
1+1 = 2 no matter how badly you want it to equal 3. It doesn't.
This +1
Also...'this summer' ? lolz...way to go Bioware...

Now if they get this right, all they have to do is patch in the neutral options and this will be my favorite Mass Effect title.

As an aside, I think a total redone ending was probably just wishful thinking as it is.
