People complain that the endings as they stand are complete crap and Bioware's solution is to keep them the same but essentially make them longer. Why should people be happy? Sure a bit more closure is good but It won't make the actual content of the ending any less bad.

Yes judging by this game dragon age 3 sales will be in the hundreds of thousands and not millions.

There's no judgement that can be made about this DLC yet, as we literally know nothing about it. People who were going to be pissed off by its mere presence are going to be pissed regardless of if it effectively closes the commonly held "plot holes" and ties together a more satisfying ending or not.

I'm looking forward to see how well it does. This seems to be going in exactly the right direction that they need to, and is also exactly what was promised weeks ago they would look into doing. Now only time can tell if they do a decent job of it.

Not the ending, not the plotholes...
They have to fix the fact that we don't have a "Wrex-Shepard" moment despite having the living description of Badassfully on our own ship!

Actually Mythbusters proved you can polish a turd........but to get back on topic, did anyone ever for a moment think they would actually change the endings? Really....they stated they would not, just add clarification. Which IMO, means that they are just trying to shut the unhappy fans up. Very sad actually, since I have have played bioware games since Minsc and his beloved space hamster.

Just another notch for EA's belt, another great company down the crapper. Oh well there are other games to play. You had a good run  Bioware thanks for all the great games .....Off to play Arkham City.....

I didn't like the ending either, but the constant ****ing and moaning is way too damn much. and then you have people asserting their little opininions as "the end all be all" of any debate.

We dont know exactly what will be in this extended cut DLC. so how about we all calm down and stop acting like a bunch of children?

 My wish list for things added on to the last mission/ending:

During the push toward the beam:
1)Interaction with the rest of your squad that is not on your 3 man team.  I'm sure they're also fighting as in ME2.  Give them something to do or coordinate with 2 teams in real time.
2)More radio updates or cinematic updates having to do with Sword
3)More updates having to do with the fate of your former squadmates you saved from ME2

On the Citadel:

1) See the reaper in construction or at least an example of what Anderson is talking about he's seeing
2) See evidence of casualties you had been interacting with on the Citadel
3) More story of how the Illusive Man got on the Citadel and his association with the reapers.

Ending/Epilogue

1) Clearing up of the indocrination/literal meaning of the endings
2) Show how your decision affected the various races.  Eg.  did the red ending really kill the geth and EDI?  What becomes of the quarian and turian survivors on a non-dextro-ammino planet?  What becomes of the Rachni?  etc.
3) Show the fate of Shepard in the "special ending"
4) Wrap up the storylines of all the ship mates.
5) Show the fate of Earth and/or the rest of the homeworlds
6) More explanation of the Catalyst, how it was created, who created it, how many cycles has it been around, why does it choose to look like the boy in Shepard's nightmares?
7) More differentiation of the 3 endings visually.  
8) Have a memorial of Shepard where you play as someone else talking to other characters about the different exploits over the 3 games.

Bioware White Knighting and whiners aside, I wait with a small amount of pessimism for this DLC. They won't be able to make everyone happy but we've already seen what happens when they rush out content....I'll download it for curiosity sake but I don't expect much from free DLC.

What type of turd did they polish?  Did they shellac it first?  Dry it, coat it with urethane?  Dry it and just buff it?  Use shoe polish?  I suspect the make and model of turd probably matters.
