Casey Hudson, Executive Producer of the Mass Effect series added, “We have reprioritized our post-launch development efforts to provide the fans who want more closure with even more context and clarity to the ending of the game, in a way that will feel more personalized for each player.”

Let us be clear on this ONE point Mr. Hudson. We do NOT need CLARITY! This very phrase that has been repeated ad infinitum of "Clarification" makes the assumption that we, your LOYAL fans, just didn't get the "High Concept" ending that YOU created. <---This is an assumption on my part as you seem to appear to be the biggest defender of the ending and have stated things such as 'artistic integrity' more than once in various quotes attributed to you. I do NOT believe, due to the thematic and artistic differences from the ending to what came before that the writer for the ending was either someone completely different or that the ending was written using a different process than the rest of the game. It is so AWKWARDLY different that I could not believe I was still playing the game...I initially believed that I was in another dream sequence. WE, YOUR FANS, do NOT need CLARIFICATION. The assumption that we do is a slap to our collective faces...we are NOT idiots, stop treating us as such. We want an ending that logically follows the 3 games that came before it. The ending was written by someone that DID NOT keep the possible choices that could be made in the game in mind...I ENDED the Geth/Quarian War...I suggested to EDI to pursue her own free will and that she also pursue a relationship is Joker if she so wished. These 2 choices alone INVALIDATES the main argument of the Catalyst/God-Child. The ENDING as written, DOES NOT FIT. Please stop pretending as if it does.

What can fans expect from the Extended Cut DLC?
For fans who want more closure in Mass Effect 3, the DLC will offer
extended scenes that provide additional context and deeper insight to
the conclusion of Commander Shepard’s journey.
Again, we are not in need of clarity or deeper insight...you are assuming, AGAIN, that we don't get it...we do...we also know we can't stand it as it does not logically follow any of the choices we could have or did make in the games that preceded this poorly constructed ending.

Are there going to be more/different endings or ending DLCs in the future?
No. BioWare strongly believes in the team’s artistic vision for the
end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will
expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned.
How is THIS a WIN for anyone except for EA/Bioware. New ending while keeping the originals intact would have been a WIN/WIN for everyone. This statement of NO NEW ENDINGS will do NOTHING except create continued bad feeling from your core fans. We HAVE already started to abandon you, if no NEW AND DIFFERENT ENDINGS that LOGICALLY follow the games that preceded them, the we will likely NEVER purchase another Bioware game again. True I am but 1 customer...but you can kiss my money good bye. If the expansions do NOT do what we have, so far to this point, respectfully asked for, then you will lose your fans.

What is BioWare adding to the ending with the Extended Cut DLC?
BioWare will expanding on the ending to Mass Effect 3 by creating
additional cinematics and epilogue scenes to the existing ending
sequences. The goal of these new scenes is to provide additional clarity
and closure to Mass Effect 3.
Once again in this release, you are in effect calling us morons that need to have this ending explained...clarity we do NOT need. Will someone at Bioware PLEASE watch the various vids available on youtube or at least READ the various threads explaining everything that went wrong with your original ending.

When will the Extended Cut DLC be available?
Currently the Extended Cut DLC is planned for this summer, no specific date has been announced at this point.
Why are you releasing the Extended Cut DLC?
Though we remain committed and are proud of the artistic choices we
made in the main game, we are aware that there are some fans who would
like more closure to Mass Effect 3. The goal of the DLC is not to
provide a new ending to the game, rather to offer fans additional
context and answers to the end of Commander Shepard’s story.

Again, the statement where you will "offer fans ADDITIONAL CONTEXT AND ANSWERS" is again assuming we are idiots...I respectfully ask you to STOP using this language. WE GET IT!!! It DOESN'T MAKE SENSE and it DOES NOT WORK as a logical ending for these amazing games. Your games DESERVE a BETTER ENDING. I don't understand HOW you guys don't understand this...but it does. Your fans also deserve better. Stop HIDING behind the phrase of artistic integrity, get over yourselves, and realise that JUST MAYBE, you guys screwed up on the endings. You CAN still fix this...I ask that you take this opportunity and do right by this series. Don't let this end this way. Your company can still do right by it...
