Guys, I might have some good news. There is post in some russian forum dated back march 25th with inside info, since some parts turned out to be true, it might be that all this info is more or less accurate, here is the translation: There is fighting between Bioware and EA management. EA is more than unhappy with death of series and the fact, that fans are blaming it on them(bioware was given all the freedom and EA was not checking on them, they trusted BW's reputation). BW have overestimated their own strength and were not able to create the game properly. [not relevant part]. EA wanted to take senior writer out, but Dr. Muzyka defended him personally, since they were old friends. BW was working on small free patch to explain the ending and were planning to release it before april 10, but EA forced them to make complete rewrite of the ending. They started to work on it on march 20 and it will be ready by ~july. Will be two main endings - everything is ending great or everything is ending badly. Epilogue depends on your actions, and here it is the same - either they lived happyly ever after, became rich and so on or.. Without middle tones.
As long as it's still free, I'll get it. Otherwise, too little too late for me.

Throw enough money in their direction and we can buy "artistic integrity". But I suppose even bad story writers have their pride. Look at Uwe Boll, people are happy to pay him money to make bad video game movies, audience reaction be damned. Bioware should hire him as they seem to be on the same wavelength these days in regards to quality control.
But to be fair, ill wait to see the content before judging it. However the tone of the message that many people seem to be oblivious to is that they are just adding content to the current ending that was fundamentally flawed in the first place and ignoring the real argument put forth by most fans that want a change in illogical deus ex ending and not a clarification as there is nothing that actually needs clarifying.
It seems they are adamant to stand behind the flawed protection of "artistic integrity" for a commercial product where everything is designed for consumer money anyway. Bioware should follow Bethesdas lead. They knew the original ending for fallout 3 was rubbish and they acknowledged it and changed the ending to the benefit of their fans albeit at a small cost, as they make money and the fans are happy.
Seems they are content to take a slight damage to their reputation rather than take the effort to genuinely fix the issue, which is a shame but understandble as a complete restructuring of the ending would probably cost too much time and resources and lower their current profit forecasts. Band aid fix so be it!
Well lets see we still get a pick a color ending only with a little more added to clarify the pick a color endings. sorry but this isn't a band-aid fix this is a can't be bothered fix.

Bioware just shot themselves in the foot. Clarity on the ending is not what the general fan base wants. What the fan base wants is a completely new set of diverse endings that would make sense, past decisions matter, and would provide proper closure to the series.
Bioware should have just caved with the indoctrination theory because the fans have basically given Bioware a perfect way out of the fire with the indoctrination theory, but they ignored it and stuck to their "artistic integrity" bs and are going to give us clarity on something we already hate.
The DLC hasn't even been released yet, and already it has backfired miserably (soon, at least). Bioware, as said before, is now just killing itself, with the help of EA of course. They are just making blind attempts to fix the ending. I say "blind" because they say they are listening, yet they still do not give us what we are asking for (more like demanding, if you ask me). Hopefully, IF round three of fixing the ending comes around, they will have LISTENED and taken the blind fold off by then.
OR, EA (the official worst company in America) could have just forced this on Bioware in order to make more money off of the franchise (which isn't really working, hence the two FREE dlc's already announced). Hopefully, Bioware will eventually break off from EA, which is a lot to hope for, and do things their way for a change. The only way to make BiowarEA understand that we're pissed off and want some change, we have to hold the wallet.

while i agree with The Milky Waver that most fans arent going to be happy with this i suggest we wait and see how it turns out, after all bioware proved that they are complete liars when it comes to advertisement (look at ads about ME3 pre release if you need prof) so even tough they said it will be only cinematics they just might add something more (heres hoping)
