Why are people still calling BioWare morons when they are giving them what they have protested avidly for?!!??!?!?!:!

I DON'T COMPREHEND. I DON'T.

I'm not holding any line, either.

I never protested for 'clarification' or an 'epilogue'.  Have you read the 'yes we are listening thread?'

"Alot more cash" would be relative in my case, but I do hope they do a good job and I´m actually pretty positive they will. As Ray and the others said, they love what they´ve created, so I don´t think this will just be done because they have to (or not entirely at least :D), but because they want us to appreciate it as much as they do!

And to be honest, I don´t detest the ending. I´m entirely open to the endings. It just annoys me that we don´t get more answers and it´s not 100% logical. It fails to feel like the ending to an epic trilogy. That makes me really sad.

If the fix has half the quality of the Genophage plotline, you can shove me in the "happy camper" group.

Wow, they are trying to get you what you want and even before it's out you have already make your judgement that it will be bad or unsaticfied. I'm really glad I don't make games for you guys/girls. Can't we have a little faith in what they are doing? Isn't praise (In lack of words, not englishtalking.) better than racking down? Don't people get further with a positive influence rather then a bad? Not that we shouldn't say what we thought was wrong. Maybe just not be so anal about it!

Here comes the whining when people still don't get their happy ending where Shepard lives happily ever after.

For
the last bloody time, people do not want a happy ending. They want an
ending that isn't riddled with plotholes and leaps of logic that would
even make Evel Knieval go "Nope, I'm not that crazy."

Right, guess I'll just dismiss the countless threads demanding happy endings where Shepard lives and the relays are fine as irrelevent.

If it's real then I appreciate the idea, although even if it made sense the whole

*Spoilers!*

Normandy crashing in the middle of nowhere with all of your squad

Still won't sit well with me. I can only hope that this will at least show what happens to all of the aliens who are stuck on Earth and what became of your choices to the Quarian/Geth conflict and the genophage.

"Free DLC Pack to Provide Additional Cinematic Scenes to the Ending of Mass Effect 3 this Summer"

Pfffhahaha I was expecting something more... Complex

If it's true, it's a bit dissapointing that we don't have more levels, but on the other hand, this dlc is free as it should be (Please, who in hell will pay for a bunch of videos that you can see on Youtube?).

People tend to not work as hard for free as they do when expecting a check at the end of the day for their effort. I doubt the quality of this - (clarification)? - will be good.

Given the number of people who 'will never buy another Bioware game again' if the endings aren't corrected I believe this is a moot point - speculate to accumulate.... if this is of bad quality or if they charge for it and it isn't what people want they will lose far more money and custom in the long run than what they would gain for a 800MSP DLC

Just wondering... if the "offer expires april 12"... wouldn't that include that it's released until then?

A lot of people have missed this, the offer expires on 12th April 2014

As for this "clarification" meh no thanks the problem with the ending is the WHOLE ending.  Just clarifying it will not fix my complaints so once again Bioware puts in a minimum of effort and pays lip service to it's customer base.

Sadly this reminds me of the little epilogue that came out after the massive failure which was the ending of Lost, and that did nothing to fix the deep-seated problems:

Please read plain English.  We are NOT asking for "clarification".  We KNOW what the ending was and is.  It was and remains sh*t, illogical, nonsensical, irrational, story-violating sh*t.

Clarifying it merely gives us a bigger, more detailed picture of sh*t.

Understand now?

I think Bioware is really trying to do right by us here. It's going to suck having to wait until summer, but it looks like I'll do that 2nd playthrough now. I call that a success.

Because it's a good PR move?

Seriously, you think BioWare is going to incorporate collective fanfiction into their games, just because?

Cuz they don't care. Probably a 10 minute DLC where they pull rabbits out of their ass's trying to explain things and turning the story into a joke while doing it at the same time, instead of just changing it into something that makes logical sense based on mass effects own mother effing guidelines which it has created since ME1, *TAKES DEEP BREATH*

And that's all I have to say.

Extra cinematics: Could be good if this is about adding a visible effect of assets in the battle for earth.

"Clarification" of starbrat thingie: hubris and writers denial of his/their failings.

Also, regarding the "price", was I the only one that noticed these 2?:

"Coming this summer, the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut
will be available for download on the Xbox 360® videogame and
entertainment system, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and PC
for no extra charge*.

"

"* OFFER EXPIRES APRIL 12, 2014."

Why is it considered different from a regular patch?

Likely because of external forces such as XBL and PSN

So clarification, huh. This summer huh, that might as well be in August...
Well let me guess cutscenes with no dialogue. Since just a few days ago Jennifer Hale hadn't been contacted about recording any further dialogue. So are we going to get Stargazer to do the narrative or just and Animalhouse ending.

*Takes a deep breath* But I will be a responsible adult and not jump any conslusions and hear BW out tomorrow on PAX.

They want to know what needs clarifying, and what we need more information.

For example, it's fairly clear that we're not really getting what they intended from Synthesis, so they know they need to explain that better.  And they probably didn't intend people to think that the Mass Relays destruction was killing everybody, so now they know to make that clearer.

On that note, what exactly is wrong with having a happy ending as one of the various ending options based on your choices? There are supposedly 16 different endings, right? So why not have a range of endings going from really good to really bad?

"Through additional cinematic sequences and epilogue scenes, the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut will give fans seeking further clarity to the ending of Mass Effect 3 deeper insights into how their personal journey
concludes"

Too bad, goodbye then Bioware I guess. Those endings aren't possible to clarify to anything good.
