What the hell are they going to talk about then? Are they insane?
This whole thing is like watching a train wreck in slow motion. The last time I saw a game studio committ suicide it was Flagship with Hellgate: London. At least they had the excuse it was their first game and didn't have a sugar daddy (EA).

I got all excited and emotional a couple of minutes ago, but I'm not breaking formation from the line until we see what's up.
Also, "offer available until April 12"? What the hell does that mean? If anybody buys the game after that date, they have to pay for closure DLC? Seriously?

Sounds good to me. I didnt like the ending for lack of those reasons.
Thank you bioware.

Thinking about it, there was only one ending in ME1, so following this pattern, we should get 16 different endings in ME16. Hold the line! ...for the next 20 or 30 years.Armdin wrote...
If you think about it, in ME2 we only got 2 choices. Blow up the Collectors base, or give it to TIM.
*snip*
The 3-Colour-Choice at the end should, as I realize now, have been expected.

"So there you have it. Are we proud of the game we made and the team that made it? Hell yes."
Are we proud that we have made an ending that 90% of our fan community hates? Hell yes!
I cannot even begin to describe my disappointment.
Irony is that 99% of the game was written by a team of writers...and the same 99% was golden.
1% of the game was written by Walters alone - literally secluded from the rest of the team - and the same 1% sucked.
Further ironic (and derisive) is that someone who wasn't even part of Mass Effect's inception was allowed to singularly pen the ending to the narrative. What project head thought that was a good idea?
I think you know the answer to that one.

Then you should be able to achieve that ending. I, on the other hand, want my Shepard and all her friends to survive. Then lots of little blue children.Jamie9 wrote...
I believe this way, you may not. I think if you win without any casualties, then that win was easy. IF people close to Shepard die, but he/she still pulls through and defeats the Reapers, it reflects better on him as a character.YukiFA wrote...
And I'll ask again; if I were to put the necessary work into my character and make the right choices why the hell shouldn't I be able to achieve a "perfect" happy ending for my character and their comrades?
In my Alternate Ending Scenarios, my "Ultimate good" ending had a medal ceremony for Shepard but when Hackett calls him up he's nowhere to be found. Instead Shepard is back on the Normandy with his crew, leaving Earth to embark on another mission (possibly retaking Omega or eliminating the last pockets of Reaper forces). The reason being that I had an ending in mind that was similar to ME1's ending, with the Normandy flying out of Earth's orbit and disappearing behind the horizon curve.
My "kinda good" ending would have Shepard's funeral.
I also had variations on Synthesis and Control where humanity became the dominant force in the galaxy, either using the Reapers to "keep the peace" for Control or for Synthesis, overseeing the harvesting of the other races to create new Reapers.
I also had two really bad endings. The first was where Shepard utterly fails and the Reapers destroy everything. The second was Starchild activating a failsafe, which is effectively the "destroy" ending. The Reapers are destroyed but the Relays are gone so there can be no interstellar wars.
This is the kind of thing I expected. If you do everything right, you can get a great ending. If you do everything wrong, you can get an ending utterly devoid of hope. And in between everything gets a little grey. You can elevate humanity to the dominant species as TIM wanted or join the Reapers as Saren wanted.

Whatever Bioware. I'll check out those new endings, but I hold my breathe. We'll see if this actually makes things better. But better explaining a turd, doesn't stop it from being a turd. <.<

and according to who ever mentioned it in ME2, it is a reaper weapon and the normandy got a scaled down version while our (Turian) cap ships have the big ass versionsTocquevillain wrote...

That was befor the Thanix cannons, i`m more suprised that we didn`t see the Normandy tear a reaper apart and half the Turian fleet a few dozen with ease

will explain it. The Reapers have huge mass effect shields. They built mass effect technology, they're best situated to know how to protect themselves from it, especially seeing as how they're making the technology available to other species during the cycles in order to guide them down paths. It makes sense for them to be able to protect themselves from that. They have the most powerful shields because they have the biggest mass effect cores around. It's kind of obvious, isn't it?

Bioware believes in the ending they wrote for their story. They realized that we didn't understand it because their presentation wasn't quite up to par, so they're helping us to understand what they envisioned.
And they're also giving it to us for free. I can't see how this is possibly a bad thing.

I hope there's some way for me to see the PAX panel! I'm very, very, very curious as to how that will go now.
