I see this, and I can't help imagining Sean Bean saying that phrase aloud. Ah...I feel better.

At least their video conference press release was more succinct:

Haha! Good one :)

Bioware you made a bad choice your artistic ending isnt artistic is stupid. You say you listened but didnt take notice of the words and what they ment. You decided that a game based on choices and how each player plays differently should be put on a rail system leading to 3 different colors that kill everyone.

If there is one good thing that came out of the ashes left by the burning franchise it's all the wonderful comedy.
Its a strange feeling to be so upset and still get to laugh so much =)

Why are poeple still complaining when we don't know what the DLC will even contain, and that it's FREE? Who can possibly say with 100% certainty that Bioware can't fix this? Give it a rest already! Let them do their jobs! Heads up high! We are getting a FREE dlc from a company that makes money off of us. This is the first time this happens in gaming history, guys. Wait and see. When we know exactly what it's going to contain, we can have legitimate complaints then. As it stands, all complaints about this are... wait for it... SPECULATIVE complaints!

Are they trying to tell us something? Hmmmmm

Just like how William C. Dietz claimed he was proud of his work on Mass Effect Deception even tohugh it is full of lore errors and all that crap.

I'm actually glad that they're not changing the ending entirely, but I'm pretty confident that they're rolling with the Indoctrination theme. That would actually make it a great ending, in my opinion, as long as we're able to reunite with our LI, and our crew. And really, that's the ONLY logical explanation for that ending, and that would allow for that kind of reunion.

Of course, I'm not defending the ending, as it were, at all. If that was what they were trying to convey from the beginning, they don't have much "artistic integrity" when it comes to telling stories, and that's rather unprecedented for Bioware. And I agree with what someone said up there; the whole defensive "artistic integrity" argument really does come off as a childish way of trying to justify an obviously sub-par ending. I'm more than grateful that they're making the DLC free, and to be honest, as long as I get to reunite with Garrus, I will be satisfied (that's all I ever wanted, I didn't even have a ton of criteria for the ending like some people), but if it turns out that whole bull**** ending WASN'T Indoctrination, then that'll solidify it as the ****tiest possible end to the greatest science fiction story of all time, no matter how much they try to "clarify" it.

You have a point. But then again you never know Image IPB

I actually feel a bit of pity for BioWare right now. Seems like whatever they try to do at this point it just backfires.
I mean, at least they are trying. The fact that they even announced this explanation DLC proves that they've acknowledged that the endings wasn't so "epic" and "awsome" as they first thought.
Though I will probably wonder for the rest of my life how they possibly could think that this was a good way to end the series :)

I don't see how a explanation DLC can improve upon the current ending. We still have spacebrat and RGB fireworks. And as long as those are still a part of the ending, it can never be a good ending.
But since they want to torch the franchise I guess they have to come up with something to end it all. Personally I think it would have been better to just let the Reapers wipe out the galaxy though.

But, as I said, they are at least trying.

I'll just calm down for now and wait to see what they have in store. Albeit with a fair amount of scepticism

Actually, it doesn't feel like they ARE trying. All we get from them is PR-Speek. "Artistic Integrity" blablabla

At first they didn't want to come out and talk about the Endings so that People could finish the Game. Well, i think everyone who's reading here has finished or at least heard everything there is to hear about the Ending. So why don't they come out and talk to us?

Why don't they explain to us why these Endings are so great? Why don't they explain these "perceived" Plotholes to us?
I could understand it if they don't want to post in the Forums, what with Death-Threats and all that crap, but they have a Blog, they can post there. They did it before ME3 was released. I still love the Story about the Turrets. Back then they were talking to us, now they don't.

Honestly, to me it's simple. If the ending is broken, they need to fix it. If the ending is working or is something to be Proud of, than explain it to us. Being Proud of the Ending and providing us Clarification and Closure is.... a waste of time.

Oh man. This whole thread sounds ungrateful. We accomplished something that VERY FEW fandoms get. We got a video game company add extra content for FREE by the way to a game we love.

Can we just take a CHILL PILL and at least take a look at this extra content before we get al upset!

Seriously, most people here sound ridiculous. They're probably thinking they shouldn't have done anything. They can't please everybody!!!! I'm part of the group that wanted MORE options and probably a completely different ending than what we got but most people here just sounds annoying as heck man!

Makes us all look bad. I forgot people CAN'T be reasonable in the internet! Sorry~

I'm not judging any content like a lunatic until I've seen said content.

Why is indoctrination acceptable lore but a super advanced AI that happens to take the form of a human child doeznt make sense. In a make believe universe with all kinds of unreal technology anything fits the lore.

I didnt like the ending in its current form. I felt their wasnt enough explanation and non existent epilogue. But they are fixing what i didnt like and im extremely happy.

Not that I Agree with the Indoctrination theory but it fits with the lore extremely well actually I mean the whole first game was about Saren being indoctrinated. TIM was indoctrinated in the end of ME3. It fits better then a long lost space child AI.

Probably because Indoctrination was the singular major recurring theme throughout the entire series, and we never saw that stupid little supernatural Godchild until the very end of the story arc?

Just a wild guess.

You're missing the Point. Indoctrination was first introduced when you met Beneziah/Shiala. After that it was build upon and slowly explained (technobabble). The Super Advanced AI was introduced...5 Minutes before the end? No explanation, no nothing. Just: "I'm the Catalyst. The Citadel is a Part of me."
Add to that the Plotholes. If the Catalyst was there from the beginning, how did the Protheans reprogram the Keepers. Why were the Keepers and a Reaper-Vanguard even needed?

I'm confused as to what you are saying then? Isn't Indoctrination one of the Reapers most usefull weapons?

AI is very much a part of mass effect. So why would a super advanced Ai that controls the reapers be wierd?

So... how exactly did, "clean up the vile excrement that is the ME3 endings" get translated into, "smear and spread the vile excrement that is the ME3 endings even further" to you guys, BioWare?

I mean seriously... what is it with you guys ignoring the specifics of feedback so utterly and always "fixing" things in the stupidest manner possible. This is the same type of follow-up that resulted in all the half-assed, non-solutions we've already got from you in the past. I'm not so much surprised since it fits your pattern as of late, but more frustrated at the sheer stupidity of it and that it has continuously happened this long now. It seems you guys do absolutely nothing but demonstrate with every passing week and month that you guys not only simply don't learn and don't seem to even want to learn.

If that clearly rushed job ending that contradicts itself, logic and previous comments about where this series was going is "Artistic Integrity" in your eyes, then all is lost. I mean... come on! Clarification and that's it? Adding more crap to crap doesn't change the fact that it's crap, nor does any amount of window-dressing. Unless the indoctrination theory is true and you guys are running with that for explaining all the problems with ME3's final moments, then all you're creating is a pointless waste. You might as well create a garbage-making machine.

Becaues Indoctrination has been established since the begining of the series. Indoctrination has propper foreshadowing and reinforcement throughout, while Star Brat shows up in the last 10 minutes of the game.

Because Harbinger and Sovereign state they have no beginning then all of a sudden something that created them appears in the last 5 minutes?
