Because you assume it was rushed, or contradicts itself, etc, etc.  Once again, you're jumping the gun.  Just like everyone else.

But it does and was. If it wasn't rushed, then BioWare are in even worse shape than I thought.  And that's really saying something these days.

But if you want to set yourself up for disappointment with your delusions that BioWare is doing anything more than throwing more faeces at us and spreading it further like a group of jabbering monkeys who never listen because they're too busy screeching and hooting, then by all means.

No, they didn't listen. That's pretty damn evident. This is little more than a PR stunt combined with them essentially putting a small Band-Aid on the stump of a franchise that's been decapitated and them calling it a solution.

Why are poeple still complaining when we don't know what the DLC will even contain, and that it's FREE? Who can possibly say with 100% certainty that Bioware can't fix this? Give it a rest already! Let them do their jobs! Heads up high! We are getting a FREE dlc from a company that makes money off of us. This is the first time this happens in gaming history, guys. Wait and see. When we know exactly what it's going to contain, we can have legitimate complaints then. As it stands, all complaints about this are... wait for it... SPECULATIVE complaints!

They already came out and said what the DLC has and DOESN'T have. What the DLC does is  just add more cut scenes and epilog stuff. It doesn't change the stupid ABC ending. There blowing us off and are using the "artistic integrety" argument as an excuse to cover up their crap ending. We haven't won anything. This is just bioware extending their already crap ending.

if you expected them to completely redo the endings, you were delusional.

I'm expecting an expansion like Broken Steel not more lies and insults to the paying public but we know that's all we'll get from them.

It's FREE.

Not redo, just add more endings.

As for the "artistic integrity" lines;
CD Projekt RED - Witcher 2 Enhanced (with added ending content, without being asked to do it).
Bathesda - Fallout 3 New Ending (Done due to a smaller backlash then ME3s).
They've been EAed, thats all. So now, my money goes elsewhere.

If you read anyhting about the Extended Cut, Casey said they switched up their DLC schedule for the EC.

It means the EC was already in the works.

Wait until the EC comes out.  Then throw a hissy fit.  But only after you see it.

I wonder where all this "artistic integrity" BS was when Bioware caved into fans and added the Tali and Garrus romances?

Yep, Bioware has to explain the ending to us stupid gamers since we didn't get their Artistic Integrity™ version of the ending the first time.

Bah, I'm done with Bioware.

Providing closure is not the same thing as explaining.  Closure is what they are going to provide.

This news actually makes me kind of happy. I don't want to go through 100+ pages of this thread, but any news on if they are going to add closure to the squad? Still stranded on Jurassic Park? Can Shepard find them if she lives? Will they get the squad VA for this?

Is this DLC interactive? It seemed kind of vague in these announcements. Is it just cutscenes?

They said it's possible. Still, this is a "maybe". They're known to lie about things like "yes" and "certainly".

Ok, well this is pretty much what I wanted from the ending DLC.  I knew they were never going to completely rewrite the ending.  And it is free.  I guess I will wait to hear about the specifics.

This is either going to be an abysmal wreck or absolutely genius. I'm betting my money on the former.

Whatever. I'll believe it when I see it. In the meantime, I'll play EVE Online.

EVE...of all the things; damn game is as entertaining most of the time as watching paint dry, but darn it, it's more fun than dealing with this insanity.

ow dear so no indoctrination theory? You could be making things worse if you don't do this right! And I think fans would pay to have proper endings developed for Mass Effect 3 hell i'll pay upfront if you promise to really work on it.It's the one part of the game that is just not right bumming people out.Mass Effect needs a epic and widely divergent ending like you have in Mass Effect 1 or 2 where choices you made matter. If you make a endrun similar in style to the Mass Effect 2 end run you would be getting somewhere.ME3 just never had this and it was a choice to invest resources in other areas so I understand where it comes from I won't hold it against you I'm just saying we will pay for a proper ending at least I would.Good game content is worth $'s or in my case €'s.

Yes... because just being silent about the BS that is this response from BioWare and just letting it happen without issue is certaintly going to result them actually putting some effort in and doing a proper job.

Actually, to be honest, even criticism is just lost on BioWare these days. Clearly. There's just no point. They never listened in the first place and have slapped this stubborn, arrogant, half-assed and half-PR patch-job non-solution instead of actually going to the effort of fixing things, so there's no way they're actually going to pay attention now. This clearly isn't about doing the right thing or actually fixing the problems with the endings for the fans: it's about damage control and trying to save face. But they're too blind, stubborn and stupid to realise that it's just going to be the same thing again whenever this releases because it's nothing more than a stubborn, arrogant, half-assed and half-PR patch-job non-solution.

BioWare just don't learn. DA2 and ME3 have both shown this, as have other decisions. It's essentially a waste of words falling on ears deliberately choosing to be deaf.

The part where there was no Garrus and Tali romance was never as public as the ME3 ending.

Except that we're now after a month of ultra complaining and one of the biggest ragefests ever in gaming history. I wouldn't call that sitting silent. They definitely got the message. Let's wait for EC, then judge.

Our souls are dead - they were acquired in a hostile takeover by EA and BioWare, homogenized, and sold off piece by piece.

No... they got a message, but not the message. Which BioWare have been famous for lately.

I don't even know what to say anymore. I want to believe that the DLC will be better than what they have been saying but my gut is telling me otherwise. Polished turds can never turn into diamonds.
