So are we thinking it's just gonna be cinematics? No game play included?

I'm thinking it'll be black on white text. EA wouldn't put any real money to release something as free DLC.

Why is everyone jumping the gun?

Just wait.

Basically they have no intention of addressing our real concerns they're hoping an announcement like this will either pacify us or at least get us to wait till the summer to judge. Continued PR tactics of bunkering down, and pushing the problem to the future. It's no real difference from when they were saying they wanted to wait till more people have finished it.

*snip*!

you win 100+ internetz.

And people, STOP COMPLAINING! You're getting FREE DLC that offers CLARITY and CLOSURE. If you're not happy with that and still complain, then you are being the entitled whiners that half the gaming community thinks you are.

It's funny how the pro enders or anit retakers are the ones acting like children in this thread. Calling names and being rude. It just shows me that I'm on the right side with the clear thinkers and thoughtful posts of those who disliked the endings. Good show!

And yet you're the one also giving me a label such as "pro-ender" despite the fact I didn't like the ending and am happy to get some sort of extra addition.

Fact is, Bioware does not have to do this. They do not have to give this DLC away for free, yet they are. The majority of arguments is that people wanted CLOSURE. Well look, you're getting it.

Through additional cinematic sequences and epilogue scenes, the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut will give fans seeking further clarity to the ending of Mass Effect 3 deeper insights into how their personal journey concludes.

The negativity many treat this with is disheartening.

As bad as the ending is BioWare are addressing it, not just with clarity and closure but also PERSONALIZATION aka showing the results of your choices.

It is also FREE.

This is a much better result than I expected. Of course it doesn't address everything (thematic disconnect, bad storytelling) and remains to be seen how good it will end up being, but outright negativity is not the way to recieve this announcement.

Completely agree with you here.
One would've expected an announcement like this to be received with more joy (or at least a cautious happiness).
This is a great thing. We should be supporting Bioware while leaving helpful comments to aid them in making this new content.

Really??? They're doing the bare minimum they can get away with.  They clearly havn't listened to anything people have told them.

I truly wonder how they will rationalize and explain all the major plotholes keeping this ending.

I wonder how it's gonna play out if after the game you land right back before taking on TIM's base.

I am cautiously optimistic about this, but shall continue to hold the line until we see what's what.

Even if they will make the best ending of all time (which obviously is not going to happen), EA/Bioware still will not see my money ever again.

I didn't want clarity. I wanted to shoot the Star Child in the face.

This is awesome. It's great to see that Bioware does listen to the fans. Of course, I expect a group of really entitled fans to be butthurt because the ending is not the ending they would've made but hey, whatevs.

If they are aiming to maintain their artistic story arc, then we lost. Because their artistic arc = turd.

It's stupid, pathetic, and doesn't fit AT ALL with the themes of ME.

I'll download the FREE DLC, but that's it. Bioware is dead to me.

Well it's half-assed but free, so I will give it a go. They can forget about any paid DLC however, I'm not interested.
