The offer is good until April 12 2014. So for 2 years.

Well, I hope they aren't expecting me to buy anything from them untill those scenes blow my mind.

And I sadly doubt that they will.

I'll give it a chance. Maybe it'll be good?..
But if not, then that's it. EA, Bioware can frag themselves and their ARTistic view... becaust it's not art

This is not the end of movement. Do not yield, keep on demanding a CHANGE not a calcification.

Just drop it already. Complete 100% change of the ending is NOT going to happen. Be happy they're doing anything with the endings.

Reaction seems more split this time, enough so that there's no more "movement" after this.

The bad thing is that we'll have to endure many months of fighting before the DLC actually releases.

Earlier today someone just came up and punched me in the face. I was about to say, 'Excuse me, sir, but I believe that was uncalled for.' But he smiled pleasantly at me and said it was 'free', so I thanked him.

all the colours of the rainbow:O

Only colour that came to my mind at the endings was frankly 'Brown'.

Not what I was expecting, but I guess it's better than nothing. I guess that whole "it was Bioware's plan all along" thing didn't pan out, and the Indoctrination Theory is probably all false now too (though I imagine they originally planned it to end that way, since there's just too much evidence backing it, but changed it at the last second for whatever reason).

The fact it's free, though, is a great sign. I'm going to accept it without complaint. If it still doesn't satisfy, I'm just going to let the series rest. Fingers crossed and here's hoping that it drastically changes the feeling of the ending for the better.

Btw, I can spoil the Ending DLC if you like?
One scene where "the cruicble is doing nothing, retreat" by Hackett to send all the races back to their original worlds. (this is why Lance Henriksen knew about "big plans")
Once scene where someone convinces Joker to leave the space around Earth since the rest is retreating and him stubbornly refusing until the very last second. This includes him picking up Cortez and the squadmates on Earth.
One Scene where the crashed Normandy finds civilization on the crashed planet.
Then some splashscreens and maybe a few animations showing squadmembers with children. Including blue babies.
The utter sh*tpile of writing with GodChild remains unchanged since this is Caseys artistic vision put in as a reminder of how it is to work with EA and their Child logic.
This leaves ME in a state where all the players are back into square one except Humans who will be divided up between the Hackett faction who got stuck after regrouping a Mass Relay or two away and Andersons resistance back on Earth.
No matter what choice we took Shepard is dead (even in Destroy, that was just silly pandering and will amount to bubkiss) and the Reapers leave/die without doing anything.
The synthesis will be ignore in any setting in the future except maye as a circuit texture package.
There you have the glory of Mass Effect.
As beautiful as if Luke Skywalker had said to the Emperor "Sure, Dark Side sounds like the right thing. I will become your b*tch and then die"

There is a very likely possibility of this happening. That is why we need to let our voices be heard. Keep telling Bioware that you will not accep their latest PR trying to quell the fire crap. Demmand a new ending not a calrification of this piece of garbage that is the current one.

Hold the line.

This.

Call me entitled all you want, I won't be won over with empty gestures. This is an attempt to pacify, not a gesture of good will. It doesn't feel like a victory, it feels like I'm being disregarded with a pat on the head in the most patronizing way possible.

Wow, now I am seeing whiny and entitled. As much as I hate those words. They're doing something about it and say it's free, yet still people are complaining? I'll be over here in the "Wait and see" section of Retake.

Clearly u don't know what the retake was fighting for not to get the broken ending that we have clarified but a new one that makes sense. So i guess u are not fighting for the same thing as the rest of us are.
still its nice of them to do something and free, but they clearly did not listen at all to what we wanted so i feel like what we did was a waste =/

At the moment, we don't know what it is they're even doing. This is a step in the right direction that proves that what we've been fighting for mattered. I'll wait and see before I pass judgment.

The way I see this playing out is having specific cutscenes showing what happened to each of your allies based on the decisions you made. This way they can just make a bunch of cutscenes that vary depending on the major decisions you made during the game and can say they provided closure unique to each player. So player chose this on Tunchanka, insert this cutscene at the end. So player did this on Rannoch, plug in this cutscene etc.

People are forgetting what we fought for.

If there are ONLY cutscenes, that means we STILL have just THREE choices (Red, Blue, Green). We still have the SAME dialogue options (none). Our choices STILL don't matter.

THAT WAS A MAJOR POINT of the fight and Bioware dicked up again by just adding more movie scenes.

For me, this was the main point.

Exactly! People are forgetting that choice still won't matter! You'll still pick the same red, green, and blue endings! I wanted to tell the StarChild to **** off! Hell, I wanted Star Child GONE! But no... instead we'll be getting a polished turd. People are forgetting, it's still an A, B, or C ending.

Tell the Starchild to f**k off and then...what?  Let the Reapers annihilate the fleets utterly?  I guess maybe that could be an option?

My Shep would choose to take his chances with a conventional fight than choose one of those 3 choices. Who knows what is going to happen during the fight. it took hundreds of years to cull the galaxy before. It's only been a few months since this cycle of culling began. no telling what is going to happen. WAY to early to throw in the towel and make one of those 3 choices. Die fighting if need be. It has been Sheps call to arms from the beginning.

On the one hand, it sadly suggests we really are stuck with Ghost Kid and His Three Merry Colours. An ending that flew in the face of so much that Bioware had achieved before, in so many ways.

On the other hand, and I think I want to look at the good here, we are getting new content based on our feedback. The sheer volume of that feedback may help the creators in smoothing over some of the plot holes and omissions. And it is going to be free rather than paid. None of this would've happened without the fan outcry.

Compromise is very rarely a case of both sides (hate to use that term but have to run with it here) coming away wildly happy. It's about settling on a degree of loss and gain that each side will allow. Not trying to be overdramatic there, I always had big doubts they'd just completely rewrite the ending or anything.

Another point to bear in mind - could there be a chance that things may be removed as well as added? Think how much a difference it would make alone if Ghost Kid's lines about the relays exploding, and the cinematics showing it, is chopped off for instance?

Final words I guess - you give Bioware time to work on something, they can produce wonderful stuff. That's quite possibly a large part of the problem with the lousy ending. While that ending may not change now, Bioware are going to have time to do this epilogue right and so I believe they will do it right.

Nothing much else to say until I see it. I'm holding the line but still putting hope in Bioware.

After all, they can't really make it worse, can they?

If what you say is true, I'd consider buying other DLC afterward.

However I'm still waiting for Hudson to explain how his "artistic vision for the ending" isn't just a jumbled half-assed internally inconsistent mess that so insults player intelligence that it might as well have been written by six year old boy.

Standing by.

Im siding with Ratz on this one too, if 2 of my 4 sheps have a epic Heartwarming reunion scene with Liara plus more blue baby talk it will have medigel effects upon my heart.

So just a follow up reconfirmation of more clarity as already stated.
Hopefully that includes a clarification that fixes the whole squad/joker betrayal scene. kthxbye

No, we are not going to drop it... the characters we have known and love deserve a better ending. If Bioware and EA are too stupid to realize that in helping US they are helping themselves... then we will just have to continue drilling into them.

Yes, it's kinda strange.
I am not satisfied. I'll wait and see what will be tomorrow on the PAX. If clarification is just "we wish you could see the ending as we do it is so perfect" i am leaving. Starchild logic is false. Nothing gonna fix it.
I'd rather pay for full new ending DLC.
