It seems that the we are beyond BioWare's comprehension. They did not understand one freaking thing from all our effort to tell them that the ending sucks, no matter how much they extend it and try to clarify it. The donation to C'sP, the cupcakes, the great, constructive walls of texts detailing the numerous game-ruining plotholes and possible ways of retcon, the Indoctrination Theory... all for noth... this. Extended Cut with more cutscenes.
Congratulations, BioWare!

After all, they can't really make it worse, can they?![]()
Two years ago i would say "no".
Two months ago i would say "unlikely".
Now it's just "yep, yep they can".
Seriously, it's incredibly easy for Bioware to do far worse.

The article shows that Bioware really were originally done with the game, and this is purely thanks to the fans.
So that means the ending where Shepard survives, doesn't lead to any continuation of the game, no indoctrination theory, or whatever.
The game really does end on the crucible.

I still feel them giving us this is way more than what any other game company would do...
How can you even say that? It's factually inaccurate.
Apologies if so.
Who else has done this?
Bethesda.
Not like there are other RPG making companies that gives us FREE Enhanced Editions or anything ...
Yeah that's what I was thinking...
Getting a few render cutscenes for free that don't even have dialogue in them isn't really substantial. They should really put in effort this time and not just weasel out by giving people some additional render sequences that are easily done in a couple of weeks..
Sorry, have they actually confirmed there wont be any additional dialogue?

Guys stop mentioning it's free as if it's a good thing.
This is EA. If it's free, it's probably going to be two things:
1) Extremely short
2) Poorly done
It's not even free forever, the offer expires in April of 2014.
Lol, I don't understand that part.
By the time 2 years rolls around it will be Mass Effect 3 gold edition (or that's what they used to call the legacy products. Which means it will be included in the box for new purchasers.
Now, without knowing anything else... Yes it looks like we'll be stuck with the goofy railroad ending. Still have a choice of 3 colors but it will be explained longer.
I suspect it will just be re adding the dialogue that was removed.
Maybe that will clear things up. Maybe it won't. Maybe we'll just get a fourth color option. There is no way to know until we get the downloadable content and see for ourselves. Unless someone tells us, which I doubt they will.

It's not as if all of the flags in your save are cleared when you get to that point. Sure, it seems like you still have to pick between Helios, Everett, and Tong, but the flags are still there. The DLC can still look at the choices you've made and show you the corresponding cinematics.FlyinElk212 wrote...
Biggest problem is still our choices up to that point being disregarded. I think many people would've preferred to not have a final choice at all, and simply get an ending based off your overal choices throughout the game.

Lets be honest. If this is a true article which only requires some confirmation from Chris on, it doesn't matter what the DLC is does or actually clarifies.Velocithon wrote...
Bioware CANNOT screw up.
They are walking a fine line right now. If they redeem themselves and listen to EVERYTHING the fans have been saying, WE ALL win.
If they choose to ignore us and still follow their "artistic vision", the backlash will just get worse and Bioware will lose a TON of fans, myself included.
Bioware at the end of the day is only going to give us what they think we need or want. This is the literal ammends. And I can tell you this now. It isn't going to be what the majority of people want. Will it be what the minority of people want, yes, it will clarify certain things. BUT it isn't going to make the majority happy.
People are still going to be mad, still going to rage, and worst of all the options that comes from this ****** in Biowares face for it because they aren't getting what they want.

This is a PR move. They are doing this to try to calm the waters before PAX because they know there is going to be a furore at PAX if they don't do something. This still has little real substance in it.
Also if this does turn out to be true. It is another massive slap in the face. We want a new ending that erases the current one.
But that was never going to happen, so.....
You don't know that... The thing we have on our side is being right. The thing they have is time... where people like you start to cave like spineless jellyfish. You put pressure on EA through the wallet, through the social media... blast them in an honest but critical fashion... you see, to date Bioware's biggest advertiser has been us... WE have told people about how we love Mass Effect and that turns other onto them... at least I do, cuz I have friends... maybe not ALL do here but... you get my point. If Bioware and EA tell me that they are not going to fix the wrong they commited at the end of my game... then they are letting me know they do not want my business and they do not wish for me to encourage people to buy their products. Its that simple.
