If you expect it to change everything and fix all your problems, then yes.

So don't expect that.  It's a way of showing the fans that they care, and unless it shows a terrible lack of effort I'm prepared to accept it as that and leave the more radical changes I want to fanfiction.

So, extra cut-scenes and an epilogue.

It's better than nothing, I was expecting more, but... yeah, better than nothing. At least by doing it they agree that their "endings" really did lack explanation and closure. It's a start. Still... it means that the Starbrat is the "true intended" ending, there's no indoctrination or no mega genius ending grand scheme of awesomeness other than forcing a completely new "character" at the last five minutes of a trilogy. I see... oh well.

Well, at least they're listening and willing to do something, not just blowing off our concerns. And giving us the DLC for free (if they tried to charge for this kind of thing, there would be a real uproar). But I agree, an extended ending that explains the old one can only marginally improve what we already have. It's not going to turn it into a good ending--just a bad ending with more closure.

Still have this new character introduced last 5 minutes of the game and still no choice etc... its an explanation then cut scenes of your crew and where they go.

Time to move on they blew it with the end the only fix is DLC with endings that fit the story across all 3

If the story teller has to explain an ending to its customers the ending is flawed IMO
