Yeah, Starbrat is still the worst thing ever, and the non-sensical Joker joyride and assorted grimdark trappings suck as much as they ever did... but I will wait and see.
Very likely will not end up buying a single piece of DLC in the mean time however, including Javik. Remains to be seen if I can even force myself to do another playthrough before the new "clarification"...

What if they add a fifty years later epilogue that shows the Normandy crew now all old and nostalgic sitting on their jungle colony.
I will throw a tantrum and never stop for the rest of my adult life.

It's just as i guessed, a nonsensical epilogue with no dialogue or gameplay.
Not when they make us believe they're taking in our suggestions then completely ignoring them.

This sadly does not address the subpar ending. The Mass relays are still destroyed, Normany still crashes and your actions STILL have no meaning. Only now, you get explained why the normandy was leaving and why the relays didn't destroy everyone.

That sounds complicated. I bet it will just be a few seconds of cutscenes with the Catalyst (with no controllable dialogue) followed by an epilogue based on who our LI was.
All in all, just a ****** poor all-round effort.

Bioware does listen to its fanbase, and there are tons of well articulated articles (i.e. Gamefront's why the fans are right) that point out the biggest flaws with the ending. Maybe bioware will listen and address these?
Still, we don't know what it's going to be. Why not wait until it's released before complaining? I think this is fantastic news. Hopefully we'll find out why joker and our squadmates were running away!
Thanks Bioware!

There have been many threads explaining the biggest issues many fans have with the issues. NONE of the largest complaints are addressed with clarification.
EDIT:...with partial clarification

Just to remind you guys what was promised to us by biggest liars in the videogame history:
“… part of what you’re trying to do is save the universe so you can live in it. That’s part of the promise, I think, for any great IP. It has to be a world worth saving… I think Mass Effect has that quality to it. If you get rid of the Reapers and win that, wouldn’t it be amazing to just live on the Citadel or just take a ship to Omega? That makes sense.”- Casey Hudson
...
Oh, ouch. Where is that quote from? Because that just stings.

1. They were never planning some elaborate ending replacement scheme (i.e. indoctrination theory not canon)
2. They were genuinely surprised people were unhappy - so much so that instead of being open to the idea of alternate endings, they want to explain the current one(s) more. Which is fine but feels a bit more like they're saying we just didn't get it....

Wait... so, where do BioWare or EA actually announce this thing? There's nothing on either of their websites. Or maybe I'm not looking in the right places.
Did the miss the link to EA's news area where the announcement was posted? It's been listed multiple times.

Of the currently existing ME3 ending scenes, the one in which Joker and your love interest set foot on an unfamiliar world definitely needs some tweaking. Taking your LI with you on the final run to the citadel's beam, only to see him/her somehow alive and escape with Joker is plain and simply bad (the escape through the mass relay is yet another thing that doesn't make sense).
And of course, I have to mention the 1-2 second scene of what looks to be Shepard alive back on Earth, despite being blown up during the citadel's destruction. This scene only is only shown if you choose the destruction option, which sparks some questions (mainly those that involve the indoctrination theory). What I am curious about is why this scene even exists. Perhaps BW is trying to hint that destroy option is the one that you're supposed to pick (and the reason as to why isn't elaborated upon, since the ending is an inconsistent and incomplete mess in its current state).
Another thing I noticed last time I saw the 1-2 second scene of Shepard seemingly still alive, is that his armor doesn't look to be destroyed like it was in the post reaper beam scenes. This lends even more credence to the indoctrination theory, but who's to say where BW will take us with the ending DLC? While I would be pleased if there was a happy ending, what I want even more is an ending that doesn't have glaring plot holes and inconsistent cutscenes.

For now this angry internet yokel shall put down his pitchfork and put away his flaming torch. Until summer comes around, I'm prepared to offer BioWare an appreciative nod and the benefit of the doubt. I may even go so far as allowing myself to feel a hint of cautious optimism that things may go back to the way they were, when BioWare were those lovely people who made stuff I really liked that I was delighted to give them my money for.
That's the spirit!
