I really wish they were actually listening to the things we were saying. We don't give a damn about their artistic vision. GET RID OF THIS CRAP WE HAVE!
It was their artistic vision that gave us ME to begin with.

We haven't won anything as the ending won't be changed. And unless they actually continue the game later where Shepard wakes up in the rubble (or some time there after) this ending will be as bad as ever. .. I smell pride.

I never expected more and I also believe its the best solution to keep their own work and vision of the game legit. I like it very much, especially the personalized part. Its that what everybody expected for the game: individual closure. If they can adress the plotholes in agood way, we will see, but I'm very happy with the way they will go.

Plenty of fan-made endings are infinitely better written, grounded in established lore and make much more sense.Imperium Alpha wrote...

Uh no. Thats why I support them in not changing the ending. I actually don't want to play a game made by delusioned fan.

So, let me get this straight:
No gameplay whatsoever - You've had the game for christ sake - this isn't a sequel. This isn't a purchased DLC. It's to help understand the jumps in the plot near the end.
Galactic civilisations still screwed - They will clarify this with the ending, why do you refuse to believe that?
All progress uniting the galaxy still rendered pointless - Again, see above.
Turians and Quarians still starve to death - Again, see above.
Ten years of loyal support...
Good bye BioWare, I'm off to the Bay again - See ya!

I think it might be April of next year.

On the otherhand, if it simply adds a few more vague cinematics, such as Wrex & Grunt dancing the Caramelldansen in a flashy disco scene (featuring red, blue & green lighting) somewhere on earth or Harbinger smoking cigars and sipping mojitos in deep space... Or some other stuff that makes equally little sense at all given the current lore in ME universe.

Yes, I understand your thoughts. Sometimes I even agree with this.
But is there anything wrong with keeping the current endings and adding new ones? We get more gameplay out of it! They keep their vision--and we can play that vision if we want. And I guess you could say they pander and please disenfranchised fans too, but they're just doing what they promised us: choices for all; even the abstract art endings that I sometimes like too.

Why couldn't the official announcement have been from Bioware and not EA?
