People who were expecting a different or alternate ending were deluding themselves for a while now.It has been clear for a while that they were going to keep the endings as they were. Why can't people just accept it and move on, because I have accepted the fact that this is what we get, i do not mind closure. We'll have to wait and see but again those who expected something completely new were dreaming.

I will wait and see. If the extended cut is done well, it may be enough.

Well there you go folks. We have official, indisputable word that the endings will NOT be changed - ever. I'm glad we got a solid answer, at least.

*sigh* too bad you still need multiplayer to get the Shepard lives ending, and there aren't any real choices.

Well, I at least expectet a clarification DLC. Good to hear, that it's free. But that also means that the current ending was the real one. The one they planned for years, which is just... undeniable. Seriously, but it just sucks. The end contradicts the meanings of the whole series...

I'll hold judgement until I actually see this DLC, but I honestly have a hard time seeing how further explanation of poor plot devices and the negation of everything Shepard has done in the past games will make the ending any more palatable.

Are there going to be more/different endings or ending DLCs in the future?
No. BioWare strongly believes in the team’s artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned.

For gods sake...

The current ending is SCREWED up beyond repair. No amount of clarification can fix what we have now.

Come on Bioware/EA, just give the fans what they want. Change the ending. Adopt the indoctrination theory, give thanks to the fans for having come up with it, and all may be alright again.

I'm done Bioware. You've gone from having me in full on "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY" on ME release date to a completely lost customer. If you can't see what a big mistake that "artistic vision" was, then I don't feel safe buying anything else of yours.

Don't let the door hit you I supposed?

Agreed. But that's asking a lot of most BSN'ers.

My main concern is that clarity could involve more convo with Starchild. I don't think they grasp the degree to which many of us aesthetically and conceptually loathe the kid. If he's going to be the vessel via which clarity is given I won't download it. I mean, I'm going to spoil myself first of course, I don't trust them enough to download anything from them before watching it on youtube. If I have to talk to that kid more to get explanation I'd rather remain confused and ignorant.

At least there is always the possiblity to mod it a little to at least get it. But it is still cheap especially since I would play Multiplayer even if I could get the ending where Shepard live.

I am not deluding myself about a different ending.  I'm simply giving Bioware two VASTLY different options.  Fix the ending properly, and I stay as a fan.  Don't fix it properly, and I walk.  I require a proper ending to stay as a paying customer.  I do not delude, dream, fantasize, or ****** about it in my dreams. It's simply what must happen for my faith in them to be restored.

wow. how depressing. why insult the fans by saying you're listening when you aren't?

hope their egos can pay the bills once the fans give up and take their business elsewhere.

So all we know is that there will be cinematics and an epilogue sometime this summer.

Good to know that our complaints are totally disregarded. Really, it is a good thing. Now, I can totally be done with BioWare and EA. This does leave me a little concerned about my pre-order for AC3, though. I think I might be done with pre-orders in general after this.

Well, unless this patch (and I will only use that word since you are simply fixing a broken part of the game) does something completely unexpected, you've lost a customer for life. Congrats Bioware, in 10 minutes you made my tune change from Mass Effect having the best Sci-fi universe ever created to it being that universe with so much wasted potential. It's great you're married to your idea of blowing all all the relays and the Citadel in 2/3 of your endings. You know....two of the defining features of the franchise.

Welcome fans, you've crossed the border from Mass Effect to boring sci-fi universe #24. Oh, but in this one you get to fly in ships that go faster than light and meet several alien races.. Maybe now that the Citadel is gone the alliance will be renamed...I don't know....the Federation. Oh, and since Earth is saved we can put the H.Q. there. OH! I bet San Francisco is mostly cleaned up by now, that should be a great location.

I won't be unreasonable and uninstall all your games from my PC. I already paid for them, if I can stomach it maybe I'll replay one someday. DA2 was strike one. SWTOR strike two. ME3 and your reaction to the fanbase were strikes 3 and 4. Can't wait to see how CD Projekt upshows you next.

TBH this just killed the playability of the whole series, if the ending stays then whats the point in replaying the games as no matter what you do nothing improves or changes...aw well there's always Ebay

Same here.
I was looking forward to PAX. Now, the only "big announcements" left are random DLCs, maybe ME movie...i.e. stuff that I don't have the money to pay, since every franchise is doing the exact same thing. Nothing special in Mass Effect now.
Looks like Mass Effect 3 N7 was my first pre order and will be my last...but how in the hell can Bioware back up all these false statements prior to the release??? And why make them, why not just stay quiet?

Well....this sounds like something....not what I was hoping for...but it's something. It sounds like the ending will still be a textbook example of bad story telling. It still wont really have a climax.

I think we should be proud that we got them to listen to us at all....And I think we are just gonna have to finally accept that they never had an ace up their sleeve. They just wrote a bad ending.
