The problem isn't more cutscenes. I wanted that.

The problem is THAT IS IT. Are they seriously just going to add cutscenes? I mean, the hug complaints were about the execution, our choices not mattering, having just 3 choices, etc etc ETC.

Come on! Just more cutscenes? Talk about the easy way out.

Good. Let's see if the endings make sense now.

Not convinced. I don't want extra cinematics.
I want Space Kid to DIE.

Secondly, and more importantly is the last bit will feel more personalised for each player. This is new, and significant, because it means they will be working on that crucial "choice" element.

Do people who immediately dismiss these statements as "more PR gloss" even read them?

Because it is PR gloss. Who knows what that even means? It could mean they're fixing the bug where not everyone's LI shows up in that awful flashback sequence. That would be more personalized.

Why announce this now instead of tomorrow at PAX?

So they won't get barraged by the audience about the endings.

That's what confuses me. Shouldn't an "awesome, big announcement" (Hackett's VA) happen at PAX, not a day earlier on a website?

At least it's "free".

They are not changing the ending, just "clarifying it". If they do a good job, bravo, if not, boo.

Let's not whine about it being released in Summer people. Would you rather them release the DLC in April or May and have it be absolutely mediocre work? A release window for summer allows them to put lots of time and effort in to the DLC to ensure it's good. Be patient.

And thanks for the news OP. I can rest a bit easier from now on.

Dammit, is this legit or not???. I dont know what to believe these days. There's been so much trolling regarding these endings.

So I guess:
Some cutscenes, Some Googleimages photoshopped into splashscreens and more GodChild exposition?
No actual dialoguewheel, no choices and no gameplay?
Clarity=same badly written tripe I guess? Just more tripe?
We'll atleast it's free so I guess we get what we pay for. (for once)

You do know that this was likely always planned. I find it very hard to believe that they've just cooked up a DLC due to fan power.

This is the best news I've heard in a while. The key for me is that it will be at zero charge. This makes me very happy. We will get a 2nd chance here and it wont cost us a dime.

I think this is fake, they wouldn't announce this one day before PAX

Closure is good. We still have no idea what will be clarified though. Clarification is vague enough that it could literally be anything. They could, "clarify" that while Shepard was unconscious the Reapers were stopped by Goku using the Black Star Dragonballs and they wouldn't have technically lied.

Really, without details, this doesn't actually change much. Still, skeptically optimistic.

That should be obvious. They don't want PAX to be dominated by endings talk.

Looks like they realized how big PAX was going to be as far as a shootstorm goes.

additional "cinematic scenes"?
um...yay?
sorry but i fail to see how a few cinematics will make my decisions through 150+ hours of gameplay in 3 games worthwhile.
put simply - where is my option to tell sparkle boy to stuff his 3 decisions that make no sense to the plotline?
i love the mass effect franchise, even ME3 up till the last 10 mins, but all i see after that "ending" (and yes ending singular, tasting the rainbow with 3 seperate colours for the same thing does not make 3 endings) is that i was sold this game on false pretenses, choice matters? all ive seen from bioware is lies, lies, more lies and now "watch the pretty pictures sucker".
ive had enough. keep your space magic and ill keep my cash kthanksg'bye.

Yep, this is the way to treat your fans Bioware, give us the ending Mass Effect deserved!
BTW, if Bioware could get rid of freaking star child, I may get more DLC for ME3:)
